At first it’s horrible and Hermione hates it, but after a while, she and Snape soften towards each other and begin an affair that may ruin both their reputations, but is more amazing than anything they have ever experienced before. HG/SS, and a little HG/RW.

Returning Were As Tedious by Rhetor

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: “I am in blood / Stepp’d in so far, that, should I wade no more, / Returning were as tedious as go o’er.” (Macbeth, III.iv.160-162) The education, life and times of Severus Snape, with particular attention to the unhappy confusion of his affections and his relations with the Dark Arts. Approximately 20-24 eventual chapters, including Prologue and Epilogue. NOTE: The "AU Warning" is here only because I have disregarded certain elements of the Black Family Tree, which MNFF regards as canon (but I don't).

The Reality of War, The Illusion of Life by puffpastry

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

AU. In 1980, the course of history was altered when Severus Snape heard the full contents of the prophecy, thus Voldemort never met his downfall. How will this turn of events affect the wizarding world and the lives of countless people who might not have survived otherwise?

Disclaimer: I, of course, own nothing. I am merely bending characters and situations created by J.K. Rowling to my will.

Whirlwind by eldarwen_melwasul

What Lies Within by j4fun

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: This story is post HBP. The funeral service has ended and students are headed home aboard the Hogwarts Express. Most everyone is still stunned over the events of the last several days. Our trio is no exception. Harry would really prefer to close his eyes and just disappear for a bit. Unfortunately, he doesn't have that luxury. There is so much more for him to do, so much more for him to figure out. Time is running out and things have never seemed so near impossible. Harry has to find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes, and then face his greatest nemesis. Can he protect those he loves? Can he protect himself? Can he meet his ultimate destiny?

While we wait for the release of Deathly Hallows, I thought it would be fun to see how far my own imagination would take me. All of it, of course, has been inspired by Rowling's beloved magical world.

Note: No DH references are included. Chapters 1 - 25 were written, with 1 - 20 posted before the release of DH, and I delayed reading DH until the final chapters were written.

Enjoy.

Happily Ever After, Most of the Time by mds_987

This is a story about a young couple that picks up right after the final battle with Voldemort (he-who-must-not-be-named). Will Harry and Ginny's romance be perfect? Or will there be a few fights along the way? They may just end up with a Happily Ever After, or they may have to fight for their love to grow. Please review! i will respond to all reviews. This is mainly Harry/Ginny, but it does have some Ron/Hermione. (Warning is for later chapters).

A Smell of Sulfur - Part One of the Romulus and Remus Trilogy by The Webspinner

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Twenty years after the death of Voldemort. A murderer is on the loose, and he is using a powerful weapon - a creature known as the Atronach, a beast of fire that leaves traces of sulfur where it makes its kill.

Ron Weasley is the first to stumble across these murders, and Harry Potter arranges for the old trio, plus Ginny, to team up and face this threat. The mysterious orphaned teenage girl Amanda, whom Harry keeps as a foster child under nebulous circumstances, also offers her help.

However, underlying the case of the murders is a much deeper conspiracy, one involving the last true disciple of the Dark Lord, a man who operates in the shadows, a man who seems to be directing and predicting the every move of the trio and their quarry...a man who may be more powerful than Voldemort himself. Even though the threat of a sadistic murderer is high, it only conceals a far greater one. And in this story of love, deception, fear, hate, anger, betrayal, courage, and passion, the unanswered question is - when will this mysterious orchestrater tip his hand? Part One of a trilogy.

Summary: She had always been his favorite cousin. Through everything their family had put them through, they stuck together. But as they grow older and as secrets are revealed, they grow apart. Soon, love turns to hate and friendship to betrayal.
AU Warning because of some tweaking I did to the Black family tree so it was more to my liking, but other than that it's perfectly canon.
