There is nothing that provides Astra solace in what her father calls the Dark Lord’s world. She possesses no hope, friends, or schooling to keep her life in check. It is only her father and his stories of how he is the most loyal servant the Dark Lord has ever known, and how one day he will rule over the world. But have these beliefs been pressed upon her and interpreted as her own? Will she one day become a rival of the Dark Lord’s most faithful servant? (Madam Bones was an interesting character who didn't get much book-time, but she deserved a proper death scene--this is my attempt to give it to her.)
