She reached the front door and pulled it open. Standing in the frame was a dark figure. They were standing there with their hood pulled up, obscuring the figure’s face except for the mouth.

“Hi, I was wondering if I could spend the night here.” The stranger spoke with a deep voice that stirred something in Ginny’s memory.

When Harry does not return at the appointed time, unforseen problems arise in an embarrassing way, such as having to go to the bathroom and such in a body of the opposite sex. Humour abounds in the first half of the chapter, but angst takes over after that as Harry is caught in a lie and endures Uncle Vernon's wrath for it. Harry is rescued from Privet Drive and at first, Ginny feels responsible for having encouraged Harry to get out and have a little fun. Originally written for a challenge where the object was to describe a birthday cake with as much detail as possible, so I must warn you, Fred and George made the cake and I can say no more than that.
