Stay Beautiful by Theloonyhermione

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:

If what you are is a daydream

I'll never get to hold, at least you'll know

You're beautiful, every little piece, love

Don't you know, you're really gonna be someone

Ask anyone

Stay beautiful. *

Hermione is very ill, and not ready to die. If it's the last thing she does, she is going to give her new granddaughter good luck for the future.

*Song lyrics are the inspiration to this story, Stay Beautiful by the lovely Taylor Swift, which is also where the title came from.

And though this is a d/a fic, don't expect it to be very dark. I only chose this category because I felt that was the only place it really belonged.

The Soul Thief by hestiajones

Rated: Professors •
Summary:

We consider each other, two shattered entities unexpectedly brought together, their homes within easy reach yet far removed. “Hello,” I say. The gesture is almost comical. I just greeted myself.

“How was it?” she asks. Her chest falls and rises visibly, rapidly. I stare at it. It’s my heart there, pounding.

My answer is a single, inadequate word.

This is hestiajones of Hufflepuff writing for the 2013 Great Hall Cotillion at the beta forums. My chosen pairing is Dominique Weasley/Maude Barthes (OC).

I'd like to thank Jess for gently nudging me to write for this challenge, Croll for her never-ending support, and the SBBCers for their valuable input in the discussions. This plot bunny wouldn't have been possible without some of the debates and theories we've been focussing on in February. Thanks also to Pooja for being the most helpful doctor-in-making, and for being my mosquito-swatting soulmate.

Lord Voldemort is dead. Here’s to a happily ever after. Or not. Life after the war is far more complicated than anyone expected. With the death of outright evil, something more subtle has taken its place, and one wizard may not be enough. This time, it takes the whole family.
Part One is "Master of Instinct". This trilogy is the sequel to "All for All", but you do not need to have read that to understand this.

World Enough by Willow Rosenberg

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The Marauders have left school behind them just as war has fallen across the Wizarding World at last--quiet and invisible, but war nonetheless. And on the front lines is this small group of young Hogwarts graduates who have moved from pranking battles to something far more serious.

In this third and final installment to the James and Lily story begun in “Trickster” and “Stars Apart,” the Marauders join their friends in the Order as a part of what feels more and more like a fight they have no chance of winning. In the middle of it all, love grows and friendships break, trust forms and wavers, and warriors who are barely more than children must learn not only how to fight but what they are fighting for.
