Apple-bobbing by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Lisa Turpin - new recruit to Dumbledore's Army - is determined to prove her worth to the team. But when Ginny Weasley informs her that her patrol partner has changed, she isn't at all happy. Susan Bones is not a girl she's had much to do with, for the Hufflepuff girl has never excelled at anything.

But can an hour on patrol, and an accident with a foul smelling egg change things between them?

This story was an emergency fic for Natalie's birthday (in case I pulled the other one), but is also a Halloween tale about life under Snape and the Carrows. I have to thank Alex (welshdevondragon) for beta'ing and being AIM available for a chat.

Disclaimer: I'm not JK Rowling. You know that, don't you?

Don't Tell! by butter_beer_drinker

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

Draco is apprehended by members of the Order and held for questioning. While Harry and Ron search for Horcruxes, Hermione has to stay behind and is asked to tend to their ‘guest’. After two months of confinement, a beaten down Draco and a frustrated Hermione start a tentative friendship, based entirely on loneliness. Draco is set free after agreeing to help the Order, but when Harry and Hermione are captured by Death Eaters, he has to decide whom he will betray, his master, or the girl he can’t stop thinking about.

I have made a few minor changes to chapter 9, I changed the direction of the end of the story so it was neccassary.  Chapter 10 is in the que now.

"Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything."

Unfortunately, he happens to be the professor standing in front of her. She knows he has a partner, but she also knows that he's distracted.

This story is a prequel to my Next Gen fic High. It is not necessary to read that to understand this, but reading Lavender, blue - A Gryffindor True might help, although you should get the gist.

Happy Birthday. Ariana (lucca4) You are an incredible writer. (She also left me a shedload of reviews when I deleted the whole of High.)

Thank you, Natalie. You are a stellar beta and a wonderful friend.

Take Me In by rachelll176

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Lucius Malfoy was killed in the Final Battle, with his one wish firmly carried out. He made sure that his son Draco, would be loyal to and see the rise of the Dark Lord. The problem? Harry defeated Voldemort.

Having been locked inside his own head for a year, Draco Malfoy participated in a fictionalized battle. When he comes out of it, he's in St. Mungo's. He's learned about his condition...but it's a lot to wrap his head around.

Draco's told that he is part of a program titled Healer-To-Home. He will go live in a witch or wizard's household for as many months as the experiment will allow. He doesn't know with whom he's going to be matched with, and he's not sure he wants to...

Hermione Granger, from the good of her heart, agrees to participate in the cooperative experiment. Healer-To-Home will ensure that someone benefits from the program. Hermione knows that the patient's healing will happen better if they are surrounded in memories, but she doen't quite know how that should work. She also hasn't received the patient's name after months of learning the details of his specific 'injuries'.

Something is developing between patient and home-Healer. Is it just hormones of adolescents on the brink of adult-hood, or is it true love?

Where does that leave the Chosen One so soon after his twenty-fourth birthday? And will a past acquaintance show him what or even who he wanted for his future?

Skydive by wauwabee

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: "I don't wanna parachute into love,
No, I wanna skydive
And fall until we fly, live until we die together,
If heaven is my home, you could only make it better."

-Skydive, Jason Reeves

Seventh Year at Hogwarts is about much more than memorizing all the lessons for the upcoming N.E.W.Ts. It's about falling in love with someone you least expected to, about realizing who you are and what you want to do. It's about friendship, laughter, and the first steps towards a great betrayal. You strengthen the bonds already made and reconnect with someone you've had a fallout with.
Everyday Voldemort gets stronger, and the outside world becomes more real and more frightening. Lily, Marlene and the Marauders learn what it means to fall in love, what true friendship is, how to let go, and what is most important in life. Because not growing up is not an option. And some things are worth fighting for.

Waiting by hestiajones

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: There was something beautiful about the sight in front of her: the pink and orange splashed on the sky, the tall trees fighting for prominence against the lavish background, and the gentle swaying of curtains that were being teased by the zephyr. Dorea thought, this is the perfect moment to die.

This story was written for the Great Bannermakers' Hall Challenge. Thanks to lullaby BANG for her amazing banner, which may be found here: http://i55.tinypic.com/mbk6eu.jpg.

Thanks to Croll/Equinox Chick for beta-reading this, helping me with historical facts, and giving me encouragement and support! I don't think I could have done this without you.

Disclaimer: I am not JKRowling. Also, a word about canon: Charlus Potter and Dorea Black married and had a son, but it is not known if it was James (and various other canon info actually suggest it was not him.)

Albus Severus Potter by iLuna17

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

Different:

Different

I hear it from everyone,

I'm not who they say I should be

I'm Different, I'm me

Why?

The Slytherin,

The smart one,

The best seeker,

You had it all!

Even a girl who loved you,

So why'd you do it?

Too Late:

I've been pushed too far

The tornado's sucked me in,

and I doubt I'll ever see the light

My Fault:

Every time something happened

You were my shoulder to cry on

Now I'm crying about you

Something I've only done once

Too Special:

You always told me

"Life is like Quidditch,

You play for the thrill."

One of the thousand things

You taught me
