Mod Hiring

Well, it's that time again: MNFF is looking for new moderators.

We're looking for three new moderators and will be accepting applications for the next two weeks.

Now I'm sure you're all excited about applying, but first off I'd like to warn you that this is a very time-consuming position, one that is not for everyone. However, if you feel that you can handle the task, we await your applications.

Please fill out the following form when applying:

Screenname/Name:
How long have you been part of MNFF?
Stories on MNFF:
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Qualifications (Beta work, PI accreditation, RL qualifications):
Possible Problems (Anything you see that may hinder your ability to mod. Please be honest):
Why you want to mod:

In addition, you'll also be required to include three recommendations from other site members. Remember that the best recommendations are ones that are objective and highlight both strengths and weaknesses. Many members are willing to give constructive recommendations, including some moderators. Please though, respect the availability of mods and members when asking for recommendations.

Applications should be sent to Anasuya@fanfiction.mugglenet.com NOT the staff email. Also, all recommendations should be sent directly to me, not through the applicant. Please be sure that the recommendations are clearly marked, with the subject line reading 'Mod Recommendation for (username).'

Applications will be open until October 3rd.

Great! Loads of luck to everyone; I think I'll apply but don't think I'll make it. I'm a little too newbie-ish (but not really, I suppose) and a little too... something else. You know the saying, though: "Shoot for the moon, and you'll land among the stars.". I'm not sure what the proverbial stars are here, but you get the picture.

Wow! I wish I could apply but I'm buried up to my eyeballs in stuff most days. I'm SO BUSY!!!!!! It would be impossible for me to find the time. Good luck to whoever goes for it, it must be a seriously rewarding job. What would we do without mods? x

Awesome! I wish I could apply, too (along with many others here) but I'm a little too new to the site, plus I have so much work these days! Oh well, maybe next time:)

Please don't solicit or offer recommendations here. This should be communicated privately between members.

As moderators, we take the application process very seriously. I would like to trust that potential applicants will do the same.
