Hi, have a nice holiday and thanks for the warning. I need to try and get the first chapter finished before then.

EmilyJayne written on 12/13/06 8:21

Thanks for the notice! I hope you all enjoy your holiday.

Happy Holidays everyone, and thanks for the heads up!

xpenguin_freakx written on 12/13/06 15:54

I was just wondering if it's normal for a chapter to be in the queue for almost three weeks? Because I really would like it to be approved/rejected before Christmas.

Happy Holidays everyone. =)

Thanks for the warning! Happy Hanukwanzmas all! xpenguin_freakx, normal queue time is seven to ten days.

Happy holidays everyone! thanks for the heads up! So.... please validate my story soon!

xpenguin_freakx written on 12/13/06 21:34

Then I have no idea what's wrong. Thanks, though, Jewell.

xpenguin_freakx - There is no fic in the queue with that user name. Have you checked to see it hasn't been deleted and your email client removed the rejection letter as spam?

xpenguin_freakx written on 12/14/06 7:00

Yes, I checked. And it's still under my 'Manage Stories' list. Should I delete it and try again?

Thanks for the heads-up, mods. You all do a wonderful job, and definatly deserve a break.

*Note to all authors* I think it would be a good idea to wrap up your stories a bit (I'm not saying finish them, but maybe, no cliffies?) before the break. I think that the readers would really appreciate it. And mods, during this time, what happens to stories in the queue?

Thanks again for ALL of your wonderful work Mods. We all greatly appreciate what you do to make this the best HPFF site on the net. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!

Abby

xpenguin_freakx - email me the story title and the category it's submitted to. jan@fanfiction.mugglenet.com

Abbs, we close the close the queue to new submissions, but most of us will still be working on the stories already in the queue.

Malika Potter written on 12/18/06 9:51

If we have a story already in the queue, can we edit it while the queue is closed? Or do we just have to leave it alone?

Magical Maeve written on 12/19/06 3:22

If you have a story in queue, i would avoid editing it. Editing while your story is in queue messes with the formatting and creates large spaces between your text.

lilith peppercorn written on 12/20/06 19:11

does that mean you won't be validating too? I hope you hurry and validate my second chapter then. It would be nice to have it out before January.

pattilarr written on 12/20/06 19:22

Can someone PLEEEEEAAAAASE get that new chapter of The Unseemly Proposal validated before your break???? LOL

Oh. and Potions, too! LOL

I know you all deserve the time off, but I've received something like 7 e-mails about it updating so far w/ NOTHING to read!
Have a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year and STAY SAFE!!!!!

Malika Potter written on 12/20/06 23:26

I'm not trying to complain or anything, but I would really like to have my fourth chapter validated before the holidays. It has been in the queue for awhile, and I already have another chapter ready to submit.

Thanks! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Moderators!!

AliKt716 written on 12/21/06 13:26

I thought about it, and I was wondering if this means you cannot submit after that date, or the moderators will stop validating stories. I thought it meant both, but I wanted to know what will happen to the stories that don't get validated by then?

GredandFeorge4ever written on 12/22/06 13:49

can you still submit diring the break, or is everything closed off?
