Is the queue closing at midnight or sometime during the day on the 23rd? Thank you!

I'm Jewish. Sholudn't it be HOILDAY break? I boycott a lot of sites for things like this. I wolud chage it if i were you. Thank you very much.

Ginny Lupin: The break is tailored specifically around the date of Christmas and intended to give the mods a break at Christmastime/the holiday season. We do try and be inclusive - ARE inclusive. We operate a zero tolerance approach to intolerance. What we do not do is trip over ourselves in order to appease everyone. We haven't got the time to research each and every parallel holiday during the Christmas/Solstice/Yule/whatever you celebrate season. If you wish to boycott the site over something as trivial as a word, that's fine. You might find yourself at a site far less inclusive than this one in the process.

It's not a "trivial" thing. i have been fighting people like YOU my whole life. so please chage it

Ginny Lupin, I suggest you pick better battles. If you continue in this threatening vein you will have your account deleted. This site does not tolerate intolerance, and you, my dear, are being thoroughlly intolerant.

What is your point?

The point is, the staff of MNFF aren't being prejudiced when they put 'Christmas vacation' down as what you'd call 'holiday break', or 'winter break', or whatever. Most people DO celebrate Christmas, and that's a fact. You don't have to like it. And you can request a change. But not the way in which you did it. You pointed the finger at them, making them ( and Magical Maeve) out to be big oppressors pointing their finger at you because of your religion. And they're not.
I understand your concern and wish for the word 'holiday' to be used, out of respect for those who practice Judaism. But please. Be respectful about it. It's very likely that most of the MNFF staff celebrate Christmas. And I definitely saw the words "holiday season" at the top. So give it a rest. You are being intolerant of those who might call it Christmas because that is, in fact, what they celebrate. Therefore, it is you who are being the oppressor in this situation. I hope you enjoyed your holiday.

Well said, Miss Weasleybabe. It was not meant by the administrators of the site to be cruel or to exclude those who do not celebrate Christmas. Please do not argue; it would get you deleted from the site and I am sure that you would not care for that. I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday, no matter what you celebrate, and here's to a wonderful new year.
