I found out why I couldn't submit my fic! You have to write the title and summary first BEFORE choosing a category! It might work for you guys too!
That didn't work for me either.
Scottishboy, it has to be some issue with your computer or the fact your are doing something wrong at the submissions stage. Have you ever submitted anything in the past or is this your first attempt?
It's my second attempt. I submitted once before, before the queue shut a few days ago, and that worked fine. But I deleted my submission when I noticed a collection of mistakes. And now, even after I punch in the summary and title, I stil can't select a category or sub-category.
I've emailed you.
Okay, let's say you wrote a fic before the release of DH but haven't submitted it yet. It was based on a theory that turned out to be correct. Do I have to wait till August 1st or can I submit it now?
You need to wait until August 1st and put a spoiler on it. If it happened in DH and it's a story that's not yet been published it will be classed as a spoiler until that time.

I've resent it. If you didn't get it second time then you need to check your spam folder to see if Hotmail sent it there.
Do we need to put the disclaimer on our current stories???
Okay, I also have a question. I just submitted my first story a few days ago and then it dissapeared from my "Manage Stories" list and I reread the rules, realizing that I had accidently sorted it into more then one catagory. So I wrote a note to whichever moderator was to get it explaining what I had done and resubmitted it under only one catagory. That was sometime yesterday and I remember going to "Manage Stories" to check on it and it was still there under the heading of "Not Validated". Today, I went back to check on it but it's gone again. I haven't recieved any email notifying that it's been rejected. My questions are: Am I to expect an email? Has my story been rejected? Is they're anything i did wrong?
I apoligize if my questions are annoying but I'm still trying to get into the hang of things and I'm still a tad lost. Just wanted to know if I should resubmit my first chapter or if it was still in queue or what.

So...let me get this straight. If I submitted a fanfic that occured after HBP but before DH and the main character dies in DH...is it still B7D?
If my story stays true to all of book 7 EXCEPT the Epilogue, would that be DH Spoilers, B7D, or AU?
If this helps in judgment, I'm leaving all of the final battle the same and killing someone else AFTER the battle ends.
If I add a character that was first introduced in Deathly Hallows into my fic, will it count as DH spoilers?
I cant add a story for some odd reason, when I select a Category such as "Harry/Ginny AND Ron/Hermione", I get the Error box saying "This category is locked. please select a sub-category" for every single one there...anyone know the answer?

To all those not sure about warnings:
If your story was posted to site BEFORE DH and completed you need do nothing.
If it is a work in progress you now need a BSD warning on it unless you had the canny ability to predict DH throughout.
If it deviates from DH in any way or contradicts events contained in the book then you need an AU warning. It may still be submitted to individual categories, but with that warning.
If it contains ANY events from DH, any names, deaths, objects,plotlines etc then it needs a DH Spoiler warning and is NOT allowed to be submitted until the 1st August.
If you apply those rules to your fictions you should get your answer.
I don't suppose that we could have a DH epilogue disregarded and a DH disregarded category?
