I can't believe I haven't reviewed this before. This is one of my favourite H/Hr fics. It is perfect and I can just see this fitting into canon with Harry and Hermione finding solace and sort of thirst-quenching need within one another.

Wow - the emotions in this story are so raw, so intriguing. I loved the symmetry of the story - what Hermione did for Harry, Harry did for Hermione. A strong kind of love. Yet, you also showed that not all romances work out, at sometimes you are better off with other people.

Very interesting. You could go on for quite some time like this, with each of them stealing the memory back from the other every few years. I gather this is the end, though? Oh well. Anyway, I really liked the idea of Harry needing to keep the memory because he has so few memories of himself with his loved ones - very poignant.

Much to my surprise, I lked this. You expressed very well how Harry and Hermione could have wound up in this situation and how they might have handled the aftermath. Just one little quibble: Aren't they Obliviating their memories rather than casting a Confundus charm? Confundus just confuses you and muddles you up; Obliviate actually gets rid of a memory.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review. I absolutely thrive on people reading my stories. I am very curious to know how you would have envisioned the ending. Did you want Harry and Hermione to be together? I have a confession...I'm not much of a shipper of any kind. To be honest, I did not even know that such a thing existed until I wrote this story and started receiving feedback. Then I started looking around online and was blown away by the loyalty that people have to their "ships". When I write fan fiction (this is my only HPFF, but I have written about other venues), I always try to explore something that I think could have happened within the constructs of canon. I really do not believe for an instant that Harry and Hermione belong with one another, mostly because that is what is canon. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts...thanks again...you made my day!!!!
