Great story! I loved your characterisation of the three Potter children and especially the way that Albus acts differently around his siblings compared to with everyone else - very believable. I would love to read more about James' adventures with the invisibility cloak! It's a shame that he can't share its existence with his siblings, though, because I'm sure they would love to huddle under it together. Didn't Albus inherit the Marauder's Map? It would have been cool if Harry had sent a special "troublemaking" present for each of them, though I'm not sure what Lily would have got... Maybe a Weasley heirloom? A Weasley's Wizarding Wheeze, courtesy of Ron and George? Ah well, my headcanon is running away with itself as usual. Thanks for writing!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I like to think of Albus as quiet and timid around others, feeling a little overwhelmed with everyone always asking him "So you're THE Harry Potter's son??" So he's truly himself only when he feels the safety of those closest to him. At this point in the story, the Marauder's Map is still with Harry, but will be introduced soon! And don't worry, while the Invisibility Cloak is currently a secret between James and his dad, you'll quickly see that it's nearly impossible to keep it from his siblings for long....but that comes with the next chapter! Thanks for reading and reviewing! - Ethan

I like this =)
This is well thought out.
I like that your story is about James. That makes it unique since most of the next gen stuff is about Albus or Lily, with James as a side character.
Oh and one question: who currently has the Marauder's Map?

Author's Response: I'm so glad you like it! I think James is a unique personality that is too often glossed over as well. At this time in the story, Harry still has the Marauder's Map. I like the idea that James, just like Harry, had to learn the secrets of the castle in stages - a little without the Map, and then some with the Map. I didn't want James to be given all the tools right off the bat. But I think he'll be receiving it soon! Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! -Ethan
