I really liked this story. That's interesting because I haven't liked the ghost stories, in general, that were written in the first person. I don't know why. Maybe it's because the majority of them are very serious. I know that ghosts aren't humorous but I like it when they are. It's interesting to me because I never really thought about what ghosts did to be helpful during the Battle. I know the Grey Lady was helpful in finding the diadem but the others (the male ghosts) weren't talked about. I always look forward to your stories.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing. I'm glad that you enjoyed this story. I wouldn't have guessed that a reader would prefer the humorous ghost stories over the more somber ones. (I'll bet you didn't care for Forgive Us Our Trespasses; even my beta readers said that that one was depressing!)

I have always wanted more information about the ghosts, such as what they did all day, how they came to be in the castle, and how interactive they were with the living residents. Except for Nick, we really don't see much of them.

Unusual and very good.

Author's Response: Thank you for reading and reviewing, Dad. The premise of the story was mine, but my invaluable beta readers really helped me beat it into shape before the deadline for submission.

I had such a great review written and then the site stopped working!
Nice beginning. :) It really fleshes out Friar's character and I love how he is an unexpected leader for an unexpected army. A wonderful missing moment. Plants are people, too! Hahaha, I am reminded of the trees in Chronicles of Narnia and the Ents in Lord of the Rings. Plants certainly seem to make a difference in war!

Author's Response: What a wonderful thought about the plants in other epic stories. That hadn't occurred to me! I'm glad you like the new-and-improved first part of the story. Thank you so much for leaving such a nice review.
