What you mean... by Roxy Black
Author's Notes:
It's been a long time, hasn't it. :D I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything for ages. I've been so busy and so drained that I haven't been very creative, but I had thoughts buzzing round my head so I thought I would put them into poem form and send them off into the world. This one is ambiguous, but I hope you like it.
The smiling sadness, Shown in your fixed expression, Tears at my soul And rips my heart in two.
How can I tell you Exactly what you mean to me?
I watch you leave As I slowly stir my coffee, Tears pricking, Mind racing, Heart breaking.
How can I tell you?
I hear the words Run through my head. Stop! Come Back! You’re gone.
Exactly what you mean to me?
You’re all that matters In my little world of work and knowledge. Your hair, your eyes, your smile.
How can I tell you?
Nothing else exists, When you’re here. But you’re not.
End Notes:
Thank you for reading.
