You, snake, with your sly ways, Who left after only saying three words: You did it.
I believed you.
It burned me. Every piece of me screamed in agony Simply because I believed you.
You were always right. (At least you were then). You had ideas, wisdom, Power, and all that I wanted.
Why shouldn’t I believe you?
Now I see how I was wrong. How I believed in a false god, Who led me astray with trickery And deceit.
You, who tempted me in the desert with water, Who lied and fell from grace, You kept me from the truth.
Now I believe in the light.
I stay out of the darkness And away from what you said. By doing the opposite, I found peace.
No longer do I believe you. I am free of that burden – You cannot cripple me With your lies.
I do not believe.
