As you storm away, I drop like a crashing plane. But the ground isn't there to catch me anymore And I tumble, sinking, through ice-cold waters, A bottomless pit, Of all the cracks I avoided, Brimming with the tears I cry, As the days thunder on Without you.
My mind can tell my heart "Stop bleeding," but It cannot staunch the waterfall.
Your radio whirrs on. Is it real or am I just hoping? It spits out names, but never yours.
Last night it rained but there were no clouds. I watch the skies, pleading each star To keep you safe.
The breeze catches my hair and blasts the tears from my face. I feel you on the wind. It brings you home.
