Poems for All by BlackGryphon
Summary: Over the past few years, my friends and I have written several poems. Some were great for a laugh, while others expressed pain. Now, we shall put our poetry powers at work for the enertainment of those in the HP universe!
This first poem is basicly remembering the past few books, wondering what is to come, and hoping that everything will turn out for the best.
The second compares Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to the Mauraders
The third one is about going inside Sirius's head before he broke from Azkaban...

The Lions Will Be Free by BlackGryphon
The Lions will be Free

By: Andrea

Through tough trials, three friends have been.
Greatness awaits all, but one has a greater call.
With his father’s determination, his mother’s smarts,
He will be the Dark Lord’s down fall.
His name is Harry Potter.

Along with him, dear friends have gone.
Without them, he would not even be.
They helped solve the clues,
Of some of Hogwarts’s mysteries.
They’re Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

Searching for the Stone, in year one.
It was only the beginning of the tale.
With the return of the Dark Lord,
They knew they couldn’t fail.
Together they fought.

No one can forget year two.
The Chamber of Secrets opened again.
Ron and Harry braved the depths of the school,
Minus their friend.
They still triumphed.

Year three, danger began to grow.
The escape of a prisoner and dementors floating around.
It was a miracle that the worst was two innocent souls almost executed.
Harry and Hermione, working together and gained some ground.
The innocent were set free.

At the end of year four, Death became real.
As students from different nations competed for a worthy prize.
One was killed when He came back to existence.
The rest of the world was unwilling to be wise.
Voldemort was back.

Fifth year, tragedy struck
Yanking a dear one away, the Dark One proved his new power.
Harry himself learned why he was destined to be here.
He would bring Volemort’s last hour.
He must win.

Now, we wait for the next part.
We begin to think, how can a lion defeat a snake?
When he is chained up, and powerless to the world.
With the help of others, those bonds might brake.
The Lion will be free.

Running wild, with the pride.
With his destiny in sight, let the lion run free!
These chains of childhood mean nothing anymore.
There is no room for fear, no time to flee.
The Lions are free.

Against the Snake, they will make a stand.
Other packs, and other friends, will lighten the load.
Helping our heroes to face the desperate end.
They too will face the unknown.
The Snake will be gone.

Should the chains return?
They will be broken again, for none can keep a lion tied.
Weather by the Lion’s will, or by the will of the others,
No chains shall wrap around his side.
He will be free.

You might be wondering,
What does all this mean? How can she go on?
I go on to give hope to those who have lost it.
A Lion cannot be restrained by a bond.
Harry will triumph.
James and Lily: The Marauder’s Romeo and Juliet. by BlackGryphon
A boy named Remus, aged a decade plus seven,
Came across a book of a match made in heaven.
He blew the dust off the cover, and to his surprise,
A picture of a man stared back with hazel gold eyes.
So much like a friend, the cover appeared,
Unknown, he’d lose that friend, so dear.
The girl the man held had bright red hair,
Her resemblance so striking, it gave Remus a scare.

Back in his Common Room, he sat entranced,
Across the old paper, the words and letters danced.
The tale told of feuding families long ago,
And of two lovers, their fates unknown.
So many resemblances, between the story and his friends,
Little did he know they would meet similar ends.

Marcutio and Sirius, the jokesters of them all,
Their joking would be their down fall.
Himself as Benvolio, the peacekeepers of the gangs,
Their calmness in a fight, the similarities rang.
James, of course, the lover boy, Romeo,
Bidding for a girls heart, hoping she will know
Why he does what he does, sure, there’s a reason,
Changing his attitude, every season.
All who was left now was Lily,
And Remus knew who she was, easily.
At the beginning, she would not return James’s love,
Now, this year, she has gone far above…
Remus shook his head. ‘This is silly,’ he thought,
‘I must get myself back to reality, this book is not…
I feel sorry for Juliet though, that poor girl,
She’s fallen for the enemy of her world.’
He came to the last chapter, his face bearing a frown,
Very distraught, Remus lay the book down.
Romeo was poisoned, Juliet was stabbed,
This had to be the worst tragedy in the land.
Two young lovers coming to such an end,
Remus prayed this would never happen to his friends.

Reality later hit, with a deafening blow,
With Lily as Juliet, and James, her Romeo.
In the head of a mad man... by BlackGryphon
In the head of a mad man…

By Andrea

As I sit here, in my stone cold cell,

I watch creatures float by, creatures from hell.

I know I’m innocent, I tell myself that,

I swear I didn’t do it! It was the rat!

That rat of a man, Pettigrew, betrayed Lily and James,

And I, the labeled ‘mad man’, considered deranged,

Am the only one, who hasn’t lost my mind.

Then again, I am not of their kind…

Death Eaters, most of them. Bloodlines similar to mine,

But I fear we are all running out of time.

I know Pettigrew’s still out there, that rat…

I know I’ll find him and get him back…

The question remains, how to break from this rock?

Most of my strength’s left me… I’m rooted to this spot.

No man’s broken from Azkaban, but I must try…

I’ll be the first one, it’ll happen tonight!

Being an animagus will help, the dementors don’t know…

They’ll open up my cell, and out I will stow…

I’ll swim across the ocean, to England I’ll walk;

It’s a really good thing that I am an animagus dog.

The plan’s coming together; things are beginning to look
great,

But the dementors are coming again and it is getting late…

As coldness sweeps through me, I begin to transform,

And away from my little spot I am torn.

Out the door and off the rock, I leap into the sea,

Another question pops up, as to where Peter may be…

Yes, that newspaper I borrowed from Fudge!

Peter is staying as a rat, and he hasn’t changed much…

That wizarding family with five boys and a girl,

They have kept the one that broke Harry’s world.

Ah, Harry, I wonder how you are today,

I wish we would never have to meet this way…
