Reasons

From birth discarded, alone, ostracized,
With no one save for himself left to hear
His outcries of sanity paralysed.

As child he was wrecked, debarred, penalized,
Each face towards him would always leer.
From birth discarded, alone, ostracised.

And throughout his youth he was criticized
With nothing and no one to quell his fears,
His outcries of sanity paralysed.

The surreal dreams which he fantasised
Would then on faces elicit a sneer.
From birth discarded, alone, ostracised.

And so the darkness he did idolize.
It was all that would accept, with his tears,
His outcries of sanity paralysed.

And in this torture, he turned, mesmerised
To destruction, as apocalypse nears.
From birth discarded, alone, ostracized.
The outcries of sanity paralysed.

[A/N: I'll accept that there isn't a rythm, but it was quite impossible to include one while following the strict patterns of a Villanelle.]
