Prologue by scarlet phoenix feathers
Prologue

Hermione Granger was a bushy haired witch that had grown up a bit famous throughout her years growing up. On the train to her first year at Hogwarts, the Wizarding School she attended, she met two boys that would eventually become her best friends. The first, Harry Potter, had already been a well known name in the wizarding world, although he knew nothing of his tremendous popularity. Ron Weasley, the second of the two boys, was red-headed and had come from a family full of children and a muggle loving father. Although their initial meeting had not been the best of first impressions, they soon became inseparable after Ron and Harry saved her from a mountain troll on Halloween night during their first year. Together, the three of them spent the next seven years working with other witches and wizards to defeat the dark wizard, Voldemort. Voldemort and his followers, the Death Eaters, had spent years terrifying and torturing their own kind as well as muggles. Voldemort had even attempted to kill Harry after killing Harry’s parents. The failed attempt is what made Harry the legend that he was.

It was now the summer after finishing their seventh year. It was also the summer after Hermione lost her parents at the hands of Lord Voldemort. Technically she was now an adult but she still felt like an orphan. The Weasley’s had all but adopted Harry and herself and welcomed them into their family with open arms. They insisted that the two of them stay with them. This could also be in part to the fact that she and Harry had been dating the two youngest of the Weasley children. Ron and Hermione had been an item since their sixth year. They had spent the first five year that they knew each other staying at each others throats. They finally stopped ignoring the fact that they only fought to have a reason to be close to one another. The tension was something that they no longer could ignore. Ron confessed his love and Hermione was swept away. Now, it took Harry a little longer to come around. Ginny had always been there, but Harry looked at her as Ron’s little sister. However, in his seventh year, Ginny’s sixth, e realized how blind he had really been. It only occurred to him what she meant to him when he witnessed her torture during the final battle. As she lay there in pain he wanted nothing more than to take it away. She had put herself in danger to help him. They both realized that they would gladly give their own lives for the other. It was at that moment that Harry knew that he had met the girl he would spend the rest of his life with.

Arthur and Molly Weasley couldn’t be happier. Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred and George, the eldest Weasley children, had also gladly accepted the two into their family. They tried their best to keep close eyes on Ron and Harry. The young couples tended to want to sneak off from time to time. Spying on them had quickly become one of Fred and George’s favorite pastimes.

Upon graduation, Ron, Hermione, and Harry were offered the greatest opportunity available to a witch or wizard. They were invited to train with the best to become Aurors for the Ministry of Magic. The training took five years of isolated hard work. Hermione declined the invitation so that she could continue her work with S.P.E.W. and help all magical creatures. And, Mr. Weasley, the newly appointed Minister of Magic, helped her to open the new department, Rights of Magical Creatures. Ron tried backing out as well, but Hermione insisted that he go and dedicate himself to something he had always wanted to do. He had always lived in the shadows of his brothers. She reminded him that this was his chance to shine and stand out above the rest. It took a lot of persuading on her part to get him to go. Hermione simply explained that this would be good for them so that they could learn to love one another more and appreciate each other. It also didn’t hurt that after a not so innocent night; she said that he would a lot more of that to look forward to when he returned. Harry on the other hand made it quite clear that he had no intentions of leaving now that he finally saw in Ginny what he had been missing. Ginny also had to spend a not so innocent night persuading Harry to go on with Ron. She reminded him that she had a year left and that he could look forward to more of what she had given him when he returned.

Family and friends soon gathered at the end of the summer to bid the future Aurors farewell. They drank and laughed at things they had done and looked forward to the future. Hogwarts professors gathered as well to congratulate the young men and wish them well. During the evening Ron and Harry became noticeable nervous. They began to make speeches and through the nervous stutters they finally in unison, produced small black boxes and knelt before the women that they so obviously loved. They proposed to love them and return to marry them and live happily ever after. They themselves thought the happy ever after bit was corny, but considering all they had conquered it had been truly appropriate.

Upon conclusion of their awkward speeches Mad-Eye Moody told them it was about time to go. He, himself, was an Auror and close friend. He agreed to come out of retirement and accompany them and see them through the Auror training.

After many tearful hugs and farewell kisses, Harry, Ron and Mad-Eye apparated to the meeting point, where they would take a port key to the secret location.

Ron and Harry found the training intense and tedious, but they had every intention of finishing and being able to not only protest their fellow wizard and witches, but their families as well.

Ginny finished her final year at Hogwarts and returned to the Burrow. She found it harder once she returned to keep from missing Harry. She had classes and Quidditch to distract her at school. It seemed now that all she and Hermione did was talk about the two guys that they missed more and more everyday.

A/N Although this may be a bit of a slow start I thought it to be necessary to set up the rest of the story.
The Return by scarlet phoenix feathers
The Return

“Oh dear, I have so much to do, where do I begin?” Mrs. Weasley scrambled through the house trying to get things ready for Ron and Harry’s arrival.

“Now, Mrs. Weasley, they will be here much later, besides do you really think they care what the house looks like,” Hermione placed her hands on her waist laughing at the woman running frantically about.

“Mum,” Ginny called from upstairs “I need new dress robes, I want to look stunning when Harry returns. Want to go into Diagon Alley and help me pick out something spectacular.”

“That will be great and I’ll buy!” Mrs. Weasley was happy that they no longer had to struggle just to get everyday things and although her daughter was an adult and had her own job she enjoyed trying to spoil her a bit now.

The Weasley family had never been a wealthy family. They managed, but they were seldom able to purchase anything that wasn’t on a sale rack or second hand. Now that Mr. Weasley was Minister of Magic they were somewhat comfortable. Their grown children would object when they tried to splurge on them. The Weasley children always reassured their parents that they learned great lessons from not beings handed everything to them. They had learned to appreciate what they had. This in turn made them responsible adults. Fred and George may be careless sometimes, but responsible when it came to their business and money.

“What about me!” said a little voice from the kitchen?

A new addition had been added to the Weasley family since Ron and Harry’s departure. There was now a little red-headed that had been quite a surprise.

“Yes, you as well” Mrs. Weasley’s heart skipped at the sound of the little girl.

“Ginny, we’ll leave as soon as Rose is finished with her breakfast” Mrs. Weasley yelled up the stairs to the eldest Weasley daughter.

“I’m DONE!!” The door to the kitchen flew open and a red-headed four year old came rushing into the room.

Mrs. Weasley turned to yell again up the stairs at Ginny when she met her face to face.

“Ready” Ginny chimed smiling ear to ear.

“Oh, I’m so excited” chanted Hermione, “I really should act more mature but I can’t help it” she grabbed Ginny and started dancing around the room.

Hermione and Ginny had spent five years buried in work to make time pass quickly. Hermione continued her work at the Ministry. She was determined to have every magical creature treated with respect. S.P.E.W. had been just the beginning. She teamed up with Remus Lupin to ensure equal rights for werewolves. After S.P.E.W., this had become one of her biggest concerns. Ginny on the other hand, chose a career that was a bit more exciting. She went to work in the Magical games department at the Ministry. She would co-ordinate the schedules of the teams and kept tabs of team records. Should team owners or captains have problems she was the person they contacted. She quite liked the authority.

**********

“Look!” The little girl felt of the fabric. It was the cutest little set of robes in the lightest shade of pink.
“Oh, Rose, you’ll look just like a little princess” Mrs. Weasley beamed.

Rose had only seen pictures and heard wonderful stories about Ron and Harry. She was rather excited to meet them.

“Ginny those look lovely,” Hermione squealed “Oooo, and they’re silk, nice touch.”

“The green will match Harry’s eyes” Ginny added, “What about you?”

“I think I’ll go with something more practical” Hermione eyed the black robes on the next rack.

“No you won’t”, Ginny spat “This is special.”

“This is special, isn’t it” She smiled at Ginny.

There were few occasions that Hermione had gone out and searched for a specific outfit. She was never the frilly type of girl that tried to impress anyone. What you saw was what you got with her. Ron had been gone so long that she was actually worried. She was worried that she wouldn’t be who he had imagined coming home to see. She was just plain old Hermione. The girl with the bushy hair and the pushy attitude. She then thought she had to get something special. She loved Ron and she couldn’t have him coming home to plain ole Hermione.

Hermione ended up choosing a red in honor of the Gryffindor house that they had all shared. Mrs. Weasley chose a dark blue that brought out the deep blue in her eyes.

“Well ladies” Mrs. Weasley said after taking care of the bill “Let’s get back to get things done.”

**********

“Hello Weasleys” Mr. Weasley yelled upon apparating into the lounge of the Burrow.

“You’re home” Rose squealed running to him.

“There’s my little girl” He swooped her up kissing both cheeks.

Rose continued to jabber on filling Mr. Weasley in on the events of the day.

“Well, I’m excited as well.” Grinning Mr. Weasley put the little girl on the floor and walked through the kitchen door.

“Oh dear you’re here, would you mind tending this while I run up and tidy up a bit, I have a surprise.” Mrs. Weasley handed Mr. Weasley the large ladle she had been using in the cauldron.

“It wouldn’t have anything to do with a new outfit, would it?” He smiled taking the utensil from his wife.

“Oh” Mrs. Weasley sounded a bit disappointed “Rose got to you” She gave Mr. Weasley a peck on the cheek “It’ll still be a surprise” and headed through the door.

Mr. Weasley thought his wife looked a lot like a school girl, she was so giddy. He wondered if she had thought anymore about having more kids. They were still young and Rose needed someone to play with.

“Anybody here?”

“In here” Mr. Weasley replied

Charlie, the second eldest Weasley child walked in through the kitchen door. “Smells good, when do we eat?”

“Soon as Ron and Harry get here.” Mr. Weasley said stirring the contents of the cauldron.

“Crack” ….”Crack”

And they continued to here the arrival of the rest of the Weasley clan.

“We are in the kitchen, be in there momentarily” Mr. Weasley yelled above the voices in the other room.

Mr. Weasley and Charlie made there way to the lounge. There Bill and Fleur stood talking with Percy and Penelope. George and Fred walked over and took seats across from the fireplace.

Percy and Penelope had been married three years ago and Mrs. Weasley badgered them constantly about children. Percy, of course, thought that they should be more stable before starting with children. George and Fred were a whole different story. They had been so busy with the joke shop and expansions that they thought they couldn’t commit to one girl. However, this did not stop them from seeing different girls every night. The family quit even asking. And Charlie, he didn’t bother. He was worried about nothing other than dragons. Mrs. Weasley often reminded him that dragons couldn’t give her grandchildren. Who could forget Bill and Fleur? They were always the talk of Diagon Alley. They fit together well. Fleur wasn’t nearly as bad as everyone had made her out to be before. She had been looked at crossly because of the Veela bit, but she had redeemed herself. Being only part Veela she could choose to dismiss her powers. Should they not be used they could become dormant and cease to affect men.

“So Dad How’s things at the Ministry?” George asked.

“Good, for now” Mr. Weasley always anticipated something would happen eventually.

Percy looked to his father, “Dad, things are going great at our end of the building as well, Bill and I have been working on the relationship between Gringott’s and the Ministry.”

“Sorry Dad” George laughed, knowing he had just got Percy started and his father already looked exhausted.

“Okay, Arthur how’s dinner coming?” Mrs. Weasley interrupted the conversation and the room turned to her and all commented on how lovely she looked.

“You look great, Molly” Mr. Weasley gasped at his wife.

Mrs. Weasley blushed and stepped aside “Thank you, but don’t forget Rose” the little girl pranced down the stairs bowing when she reached the bottom.

She twirled “isn’t it pretty.”
Hermione and Ginny soon followed. Both were very fidgety and nervous. They were gorgeous. Hermione had worked to rid her hair of the natural bushy feature. It looked smooth, much like the satin in her robes. Ginny was just as astounding. The green robes against her raging red hair was amazing.

Mr. Weasley fought back the tears at the site of the beautiful women, “You all are breathtaking.”

“Crack”..,.”Crack”

“OW! Get off me Harry” The Distinct voice of Ron yelled.

They had apparated behind the crowd falling into each other.

Mrs. Weasley screamed, “They’re here, she ran pushing everyone else aside and grabbed the both of them, crying. They both reached for the wall trying to maintain their balance from the force of the woman.

“MUM” Ron choked, “I can’t breathe”

Mrs. Weasley released the grips she had on the two of them. “You look great, a bit skinny, but great!”

Ron smiled looking up from his mother and caught the eye of the woman he loved. He felt as though he’d lost his breath again. She wasn’t’ the girl he had left. She was more mature, and absolutely lovely.

Neither of them moved. They stood there examining the other. Ron’s head began to swim as he remembered back to the day he first met her. He could have never imagined then that things would turn out like this.

Hermione looked at him. He was really here. He was much taller, broader, and more handsome than she had remembered. She could feel the tears welling up. She bit her bottom lip trying hard not to go into a complete crying fit.

Hermione watched as Ron run his fingers through his hair, both his eyebrows cocked and eyes wide. She remembered back to when they would sit together in the common room doing homework She would sit for hours trying to memorize every freckle.

“Hermione,” Ron’s mouth gaped open.

“Ron” she choked.

He walked over took her in his arms, not caring who watched and kissed her.

She had never remembered his kisses being this good. Nothing else seemed to matter anymore.

“Ginny” Harry choked down the lump in his throat “I’ve missed you so much” Ginny met him halfway across the room and he took her into his arms.

“Oh Harry” Ginny was now sobbing through kisses she gave him.

Ginny had only remembered feeling this weak once before, and Harry had held her up then to, in the Chamber of Secrets. He had lifted her weak body and carried her to safety. Know her knees were weak from anticipation and relief. He was home, safe, and in her arms.

All four turned to see the family fighting back tears as well.

“ HEY!” Yelled a little voice, “What about me?”

Ron and Harry looked down to see a bright eyed, red-headed little girl looking up at them. Ron smiled and he and Harry knelt down in front of the little girl.

“You must be Rose” said Ron

Rose turned and looked at the rest of the Weasley’s “oh, he’s a bright one isn’t he?”

They couldn’t help but laugh.

“See, Ron I’m not the only one who thinks you’re a bludger shy of a Quidditch game.” Fred laughed.

Ron chose to ignore the smart remark and looked back at her, “ Yes, my dear I am. And I’ve waited a long time to meet you.”

“You look like a little lady” Harry elbowed Ron “Don’t you think Ron?”

“Sure does, but then what do you expect from a Weasley” He grinned.

She grabbed both of their hands and pulled them to the kitchen. “It’s time to eat.”

Homecomings by scarlet phoenix feathers
Homecomings

“Mum, everything taste wonderful,” Ron tried to swallow and talk at the same time. “Although a Blast-Ended Skrewt would taste good compared to what they fed us during training.”

“And you know it had to be bad for him to complain,” added Harry.

Harry felt Ginny’s hand under the table and couldn’t help but want to get her alone. And from the look of things, Ron had the same idea. Although he continued to shovel food into his mouth he couldn’t take his eyes off Hermione.

“Well, how were things in training, other than the food?” Mr. Weasley questioned them.

“Oh it was great," Harry said knowing Ron wouldn’t be able to get a sentence out without food flying across the table. “We learned loads of useful stuff. The senior Aurors said Ron and I were so far advanced in the Dark Arts Department that most of it should be just like refresher courses.”

“Yeah,” Ron finally managed “But of course there’s always more to learn. He told us he still learns new things everyday.”

Hermione started to look worried. Would he have to go back?

Mrs. Weasley was obviously thinking along the same lines, “You won’t be going back, will you?”

“Oh no, Mrs. Weasley. We’ll be working here at the ministry. It’s just that they are always coming up with new ways to track and capture people. That’s all he meant.”

Hermione and Ginny both let out an obvious sigh of relief. Neither of them could have gone through the separation again.

Everyone started leaving the table and moving into the living room.

“Mum, this was great but Fleur and I must really go. Great to see you guys home.” Bill patted both of them on the back. “We’ll be back for the weekend.”

“Yeah, me too,” Charlie added. “We’ll get some work around here then.”

Fred and George also said their good-byes and disapparated.

“Well, we should be getting back to the flat,” Percy said standing up. “Penelope and I have a few things to go over before bed. Plans for Gringott’s you know.”

Percy was still a bit arrogant, but he wouldn’t be Percy if he wasn’t.

Harry and Ginny made there way to the overstuffed chair next to the fireplace. It was much like the ones that had been in the Gryffindor Common Room during their years at Hogwarts. Harry sat down and Ginny curled up on his lap lying her head on his shoulder. Ron and Hermione took the identical chair opposite them and did the same.

Mr. And Mrs. Weasley sat on the sofa and Rose took her seat between them.

Ron finally broke the silence.

“Mum, this place look great.”

Mrs. Weasley blushed at the compliment that her youngest son had just paid her.

“We’ve all been working hard”

He then looked puzzled.

“What were they all talking about being here this weekend for work? Everything looks spectacular”

Hermione raised her head from his shoulder.

“It’s our surprise for you and Harry. They are all building a house next door for us all. Well, you and me and Harry and Ginny. “

Mr. Weasley jumped in.

“We had the plans drawn up. Actually Fleur did most of the work. She’s amazing with dimensions. They haven’t even been allowed to see them.” He pointed to Ginny and Hermione. “She has done a wonderful job. Harry and Ginny will have a wing of the house, while Hermione and yourself will have another.”

Harry was filled with gratitude but he didn’t want them feeling that they had to do all of this for them. They were adults now. “Mrs. Weasley, that’s great but we can’t let you do all that. We’ll work and save to build ourselves.” Harry knew he really wouldn’t have to save. Thanks to his parents and the estate left to him by Sirius.

Lily and James Potter had made sure that their son would be well taken care of should anything happen to them. Harry remembered back to the first day that he met Hagrid. He remembered being told he was a wizard. But then, seeing the contents of the vault left to him by his parents really made it unbelievable. Piles upon piles of galleons, sickles, and knuts. And as if that wasn’t enough, his godfather had left him all his belongings as well. Sirius Black had been one of his dad’s best friends, who was thought to have been responsible for the death of Lily and James. In Harry’s third year he had found out the truth of Sirius’ innocence only to watch him lose his life two years later.

“Now, Harry,” Mr. Weasley began. “I am now in the position to do this if I wish. And I insist on doing this for my children. Call it a wedding gift. The girls here….” Mrs. Weasley had elbowed him in the gut and glared, “I’m sorry, the ladies here have been making plans you know. You just can’t let them down.”

Harry looked at Ginny. He would never let her down. He wanted nothing more than to give her the world.

Ginny had been his world. Yes, Ron and Hermione were always there for him, but Ginny made Harry realize what it was like to have someone truly love him. No matter what he did. She would understand and accept him anyway. Being raised by his mother’s wizard hating family, The Dursley’s, he had never known what unconditional love felt like. He was positive his mother loved him unconditionally, however he had been to young to remember.

“Yes,” Ginny jumped in. “The Burrow is fine for now, but when we are married, the new house will be great. From what I understand, it’s going to be fabulous.”

“Can I do something?” Rose now looked very interested.

“Why of course,” Ron said holding out his arms and lifting her into the pile.

She looked at Mr. And Mrs. Weasley.

“I like him,” she smiled.

“You haven’t lived with him very long. You just wait,” Ginny whispered under her breath.

Ron obviously heard, he pulled the pillow off the chair behind his back and tossed it at her.

She ducked laughing and catching the pillow and throwing it back much harder than he had. Rose joined in the fun and began tossing pillows about.

Ron remembered sitting in the tight quarters with Harry during their training and thinking of things back home. He wanted desperately to see his family again. Since his first year at Hogwarts when he thought of his family, in general, Harry and Hermione had always been included in his thoughts. It was as if they had always been there. And now they would be officially. They fit so well together.

“Well, I think that it is time for one little girl to get to bed. “Mrs. Weasley waved Rose to her.

“No! Please,” She cried “Just a little longer”

“Sorry, little ladies need their beauty rest.” She scooped up the little girl and headed for the stairs.

Mr. Weasley followed suit and walked past the two couples. “Don’t have too much fun,” he said winking at them.

“Arthur, don’t tease,” Mrs. Weasley said handing off Rose to him as they ascended the stairs.

A soon as they were out of sight Ron leaned over whispering in Hermione’s ear, “I want to be alone with you!”

They had been apart for so long Ron felt the heat rise in his face. It was as though he was going through the embarrassment stage again, kissing someone for the first time and not knowing how to act the next day.

Hermione smiled bowing her head to him.

“Me too”

She had every intention of making the most of the time they had together. She had waited five long years for his return. She remembered lying in bed at night crying for him. Wanting to feel his hand on her face softly pushing back the wild hair from her forehead. She was going to remind him why he loved her so much.

Ginny and Harry were acting as though no one else was in the room. They were wrapped in each other’s arms having a good snog.

“They wouldn’t even notice us leave,” Hermione whispered standing up. She took Ron’s hands and pulled him to his feet. “Follow me.” She took his fingers leading him up to her room.

As they reached the door Ron worried about what his parents would say. Yes they were adults, but they weren’t married and they were in their home.

“Hermione, are you sure?”

She didn’t say anything. She turned the knob and lead him through the door.

Hermione turned shutting the door behind Ron. “We are engaged to be married and you will stay in my room tonight.”

“Yes, ma’am,” Ron growled leaning to her and taking her into his arms.

“Ron, I love you,” She choked, “I have waited so long to see you, to hold you.” Ron continued to kiss her neck and feeling every curve of her body with his hands. “Ron, make love to me,” she whispered.

“I have every intention of that. I love you. Five years is a long time.”

“Yes, it is,” she gasped.

**********

“Harry, I have missed you so much,” Ginny took a deep breath. “I’ve tried keeping myself busy."

“I don’t think I could have lasted another week without you.” He spoke softly into her ear. She had been just a school girl when he left her. She had grown up. He wanted her. He wanted all of her. He had dreamed of the day that he truly made her his.

“Harry?” Ginny waited for a reply.

“Yes, love?” He looked at her.

“Will you stay with me tonight?” She didn’t mean like before. Not when they were younger and slept on the sofa in each others arms.

“Yes, I'll hold you all night,” he said really wanting to go further be he had no intentions of rushing her.

“I don’t want you to just hold me.”

She looked into his eyes, waiting for a reaction.

“Ginny, I’m here for you. I love you. I want to make you happy.” He felt his stomach knotting. She wanted him.

“I love you, too. I want to commit myself to you. Tonight.”

She tried hard not to let her voice waver.

He stood up holding her in his arms. She was so petite. It really wasn’t much effort. She wrapped her arms around his neck and nuzzling into him. Harry carried her to the top of the stairs where he stopped long enough for her to point in the direction of her new room. He carried her into the room that smelled sweet. Much like her.

Ginny now stood in her own, walking to the bed and turned to Harry dropping her robes of green to the floor.

Harry couldn’t move. She definitely wasn’t a schoolgirl anymore. His heart was nearly pounding through his chest. He looked and tried to memorize every curve.

“Harry?” Ginny whispered

He jumped.

“Yes?”

“Come to me,” she said calmly.

He regained his composure and walked the her. She then began removing his robes. She ran her soft fingers over his chest and his shoulders. She continued to kiss his skin. He thought this was great. This would have been great for relaxation during his training. Where did she learn this? His body tingled with every touch.

Ginny stood in front of Harry putting her fingers through his hair. She pulled his head to hers and kissed him like she never had before.

Harry thought, what a kiss. He was able to regain his strength and lifted her into is arms once more and gently laid her onto the bed.

“Harry,” Ginny whispered.

“Ginny,” he replied. “I love you.”

“You are and always will be the one for me. I will never be happier than I am now.” She felt Harry put his weight on her gently. She didn’t want this night to end.

Hermione felt something brush against her cheek. She them remembered Ron. She opened her eyes to see him propped on an elbow looking down at her.

“You are lovely” He smiled sweetly.

“You are too” She replied. “What are you doing?”

Ron smiled, “Watching you sleep.”

She felt a bit embarrassed. What if she had been drooling or snoring? “Why?”

“Trying to let it sink in that I’m actually home with you, that’s all” He kissed the tip of her nose.

Hermione blushed and kissed his chin. “It’s been a long time coming.”

“I smell food, I’m hungry.” Ron rolled out of bed.

Hermione watched his trim body walk across the room. He reached into his trunk pulling out some muggle clothing he had acquired thanks to Hermione. He pulled on his jeans and jumper turning to her.

"Come on, Get up” He coaxed. He reached over pulling a robe from her closet and tossed it in her direction. “After last night we both need nourishment.”

She still was a bit shy. She hoped it wouldn’t take long for her to become completely comfortable talking out loud about the things that had taken place last night. She stood up still embarrassed to have him see her naked.

“I don’t remember it being that good; I guess time apart was good for the relationship.”

She began blushing thinking he could shut up anytime. But then again this was just proof that he was completely comfortable with her.

**********

“Are you okay?” Harry asked Ginny as they dressed. He didn’t really know why he asked that, he had never had brothers or anyone else for that matter to help him understand what he should say or do to comfort Ginny after the first time. He surely couldn’t go to any of is adopted family, for obvious reasons.

“Yeah, Why?” She looked at him,

“I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t…. well” He felt the heat in his face.

“Harry, “ She walked over to him, “You were wonderful. You were gentle, and I love you for that.” She reached up and kissed him not wanting to leave this room.

Harry took a deep breath, “Something smells great. Let’s go, I’m famished.” He took her hand and they walked into the hall.

**********

Mrs. Weasley was in the kitchen guiding plates to the table carefully. She tried to keep her mind off of the couples that remained upstairs. Yes, they were adults, but she would like to see them married. That was coming soon though she assured herself. They’ve been apart so long. She remembered what it was like to have a young love. She and Arthur still felt young at times. She felt her face warming up at the thought of the times that she and her husband had spent together.

“Come on!”

She heard voices. Voices that she was glad to have home. Harry and Ron burst into the kitchen wrestling their way to the table nearly knocking dishes to the floor.

“You two are going to break something” Hermione scolded behind them.

“Oh okay MUM!” Ron mocked her.

“Ronald Weasley - Harry Potter” Both looked up to see Mrs. Weasley staring them down.

“Sorry Mum”
“Sorry Mrs. Weasley” They both sat down quickly.

Hermione strolled over and sat beside Ron looking pleased with herself. This reminded the two of them of the times back at Hogwarts. She was always the one to keep a level head and not act a fool. They thought they should appreciate that she saved their necks more than once because of her knowledge and concern of the rules; then again this didn’t stop them from teasing her about it.

Harry leaned over to Ron, “Just like school, always making us look bad.”

Ron chuckled, “Yeah”

Hermione shot Harry a glance that told him she could probably whip him right now. “You don’t need my help to look bad; you two can do that yourselves.” And she then stuck her tongue out at him just as if they were children again.

“OOOOOO, she stuck her tongue out,” Rose had entered the room.

“Yeah, Mum did you see that?” Ron was laughing inside that miss perfect got caught doing something childish. “What about her?”

“I didn’t see anything?” Ginny laughed.

Rose climbed up to her seat, “Let’s eat, I’m starving.” She still had on the robes from the night before.

Mrs. Weasley just shook her head and let the child be.

“Ron, she has an appetite like you.” Ginny looked over. “It’s hard to believe she’s only four and a girl.”

“I got to get strong so I can be an Auror like Ron and Harry.” she smiled and starting to stuff loads of food into her mouth.

“What is on the agenda for you lot?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“Ginny and I have taken holidays so that we can spend more time with these two.” Hermione said ecstatically.

Ron and Harry didn’t have to report to work for two weeks.

“Oh, that will be splendid” Mrs. Weasley was hoping to get to spend some time with them as well.

After breakfast the group decided to go to the Ministry just to look around.

“Mum, come with us?” Ron asked.

“I have things here to do; you all go on and have fun. Rose and I need to work on a few things.” She kissed him and thanked him for the invite anyway.

With that they apparated to the front steps of the Ministry.

Ron looked up amazed. He and Harry would soon be working here. The ridicule they had endured at the hands of Draco Malfoy had made this day a happy one. The right people were now calling the shots. Thanks to his Dad and other Order members the Malfoy family and other Death Eaters would pay for their crimes for years to come.

Hermione looked at Ron almost able to read his thoughts exactly. His family has struggled for so long. They deserved this. The Wizarding world deserved to have a great man like Mr. Weasley to look out for them.

“Oh look dear,” a lady coming down the stairs pointed at them pulling on her husband’s sleeve. “That’s Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.”

Hermione noticed Ron’s chest swell a bit. With Harry around he had never gotten much attention. The lady ran to them.

“Oh you boys don’t realize what you have done for our kind. Miss Granger, you have grown to be a lovely lady. And Miss Weasley, I’ve seen you in the pictures of the Daily Prophet.”

The ladies husband finally spoke. “Now, Matilda, you’re scaring them.” He then turned his head in their direction, ”she gets a bit emotional, you know.”

Harry spoke first, “That’s quite alright. We’re all just glad to know we could help.”

Harry had wanted nothing more then to avenge the deaths of his parents, Hermione’s parents, Sirius and all the other innocent lives. As much as he loved Ginny and would hate to leave her, he would gladly put his life on the line again. He still had dreams at times about the night his parents died. He also had burned in his memory, the look on Hermione’s face when she had found out her parents were dead. He could still see Sirius falling into the veil. He never mentioned the nightmares. They were all trying to get on with their lives.

“Help! Well, you did more than help.” The man gasped. “My dear man, you saved us all. And we will always be grateful for that.”

The couple nodded, smiling and walked on, the lady still speaking frantically to her husband.

They continued down the halls to the Minister’s office along the way. Witches and Wizards were bowing low and talking under their breath. They had obviously recognized the four of them.

“Hey! Ron and Harry”

They both turned their heads in the direction of the voice.

“Is that….?” Hermione started.

“It sure is,"Ron finished “Neville”

Neville Longbottom was a classmate of Harry, Ron and Hermione’s during their time at Hogwarts. He was a bit of an odd character always having things backfire on him, but a loyal friend indeed. He shared the dormitory with Ron and Harry for seven years and even at one point had a bit of a crush on Hermione. He now looked a bit more sure of himself, sporting white robes, obviously from St. Mungo’s Hospital.

“It has been ages “ Neville continued “Seen the article in the Prophet. Congratulations”

“What article?” Harry questioned him.

“This one” he flung the paper at them smiling.

The four of them closed in together around the paper.

Breaking News
By Lavender Brown

Boy heroes, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley have just finished their extensive five year Auror training. The pair returned home just yesterday to their lovely fiancées. Yes ladies, they are both taken. Before leaving five years ago the dynamic duo proposed to their long time girlfriends promising themselves to one another. Mr. Potter is taken by none other than Miss Ginny Weasley, daughter of the Minister of Magic, Arthur Weasley. Mr. Weasley, the youngest son of the Minister is engaged to the third of their triangle Miss Hermione Granger. The couple along with Mr. Potter were practically inseparable during their time at Hogwarts.

The details of the upcoming weddings have yet to be released. Being that I’m an ex-classmate and roommate of Miss Granger, I’m hoping to get an interview in the near future, so keep your eyes open.

They all looked at Neville amazed.

“Uh, Thanks Neville,” Harry stuttered. “It’s strange how people want to know so much about us.”

Well Harry they have always been fascinated by you, and now that you all played a big part in defeating Voldemort, you’re really news. You all did things that full grown wizards couldn’t do.”

“You were with us, Neville. You deserved recognition just as much as we do.” Harry had always had a soft spot for Neville. He had always been made the butt of everyone’s jokes, but he was a loyal friend as well. He had lost his parents at the indirect hand of Voldemort. Although they remained in St. Mungo’s they would never regain their minds completely.

“Thanks, Harry” Neville was truly grateful for the Harry had always taken up for him. They all had. “Well,” Neville shook each of their hands and made sure to hug Hermione and Ginny. “Hope to see you around. I’m working at St. Mungo’s with the medical plants.” He turned to dash off waving as he did so.

“There they are!” screamed a lady sitting behind the desk of Arthur Weasley’s office. “The Minister will be excited to see you all. O, we are so excited to have you two back.” She ushered them through the large double doors leading to Mr. Weasley’s private office.

Mr. Weasley’s office was a large area with a desk covered in files in one corner and a large sitting area near the fireplace. This was where meeting were held.

Mr. Weasley ushered them all in “Please sit down, I needed a break” eyeing the files. He led them to the overstuffed chairs where they all seated themselves comfortable. “What do you think?” He waved his hand around the room.

“Look’s great Mr. Weasley,” Harry was truly impressed.

Harry remembered the previous Minister, Cornelius Fudge, thinking this was not the way he left it. Harry was sure that this place was filled with gaudy trinkets and showy items. Much like the things that he remembered sitting around the Dursley’s house. These things weren’t’ there because they liked them, they were there to impress the clients that his Uncle Vernon had always brought home. Mr. Weasley didn’t’ have such items. It was simple and tasteful. Pictures of his children were placed around the room. Looking up on the mantle he even noticed a picture of himself with Ginny taken the night he and Ron had left. And flanking it was another much like it, although looking out of the frames smiling was Ron and Hermione.

Ron noticed the pictures as well. “We will need to get a better picture to replace that one.” He had noticed his hair was not at its tamest.

“As soon as I get one” Mr. Weasley had now sit in an empty armchair. “So, what sites are you out to see today?”

“I would love to see Hermione’s office” Ron obviously proud of her, although the S.P.E.W. thing had gotten on his nerves in school.

Hermione fought back the urge to stutter “Oh not now! You’ll have plenty of time for that,” she didn’t know what else to say. Her office isn’t actually the place she wanted Ron to visit.

Ginny saw Hermione’s face and knew that her friend wanted help. “What’ll you say we go to my office, I’m sure it will be more interesting. Working in the magical games dept. I’ve been spending a lot of time with the Chudley Cannons.”

“Let’s go then,” Ron looked eager “Maybe we’ll get lucky and some team members will be there.”

“Well then, hope you do” Mr. Weasley walked them to the door. “See you at dinner”

The four of them said their goodbyes and continued down the hall to Ginny’s office.

Mr. Weasley watched as they continued their tour of the place and disappeared around a corner.

Time of Relaxation by scarlet phoenix feathers
Time of Relaxation

Ron looked down from the window of the second story bedroom he had been sharing with Hermione and watched her as she sat swinging in the garden. He was amazed at her beauty. She took bits of stale bread and tossed it into the pond for the fish. That simple gesture made him smile. She looked peaceful, but still not the Hermione he had left. She often looked worried. He couldn’t understand why. This was the time everyone should be enjoying. The war was over and he was home after five long years. Just then it hit him. How could he be so thick? Her parents. She didn’t’ talk about it, and no one else ever brought it up. But then he thought maybe he should. She needed to talk about them. Remember them.

*******

Ginny laughed as she sped pass Harry. They weren’t your normal couple. One minute they would be all over each other in the corner of the lounge and the next pounding each other in the air. They would release the snitch and fight to catch it.

“Come on Harry! You can do better than that.” Ginny yelled as she plowed her elbow into him as she passed.

“I refuse to hit you to get that thing!” He said and thinking how lovely she looked with her hair blowing about in the colder than normal September air.

Ginny stopped in mid-air turning her broom in his direction. “Harry Potter, you have come back from Auror training a bigger sissy than when you left.” She laughed, “I’ll have to owl the Daily Prophet. I can see it now, ’The Boy Who Lived Turns Yellow’.” She hit a nerve.

With that being said Harry sped toward her at top speed. “Oh really, okay Miss Weasley, you asked for it.” He leaned into his broom and bolted at her. He made contact with her shoulder and went for the snitch just 20 meters behind her. When he grasped the snitch and felt the beating wings on his ice cold hands he turned in her direction, only she wasn’t there. His eyes looked down to the ground below where she had just been and saw her body lying limp on the dead grass below.

“Oh Bloody Hell!” he screamed as he raced to her. “Ginny!” He lifted her head gently. “Can you hear me?”

“Harry?” Her eyes fluttered , “Did you get it?”

“Who cares?” He spat. He was furious with himself for falling for her scheme to get him to play harder. “Are you hurt?”

“My leg” Her face grimaced with pain.

Harry looked down at her leg. He could see the slight bend where there shouldn’t be one. He lifted her into his arms. “Hold on, this is going to hurt.”

Ginny fought back the tears. She had initiated all of this. She really didn’t want to hear ‘I told you so’.

Harry could only imagine what her brothers were going to say. And then he made a mental note to remember his wand next time. With every step on the long walk to the house he could have kicked himself. She might be small, but put those heavy Quidditch robes on her and she might as well be Ron.

*******

Ron stepped out from the backdoor of the newly remodeled Burrow carrying two cups of tea. He saw Hermione still sitting on the swing with her feet now curled underneath her and her cloak pulled tight around her shoulder. Ron was glad that he had picked up a quilt as walked out. He walked up to her pausing just behind the large swings. “Ahem” he cleared his throat to get her attention.

Hermione turned and saw Ron standing there with two smoking cups and a quilt thrown over his shoulder and a smile plastered across his face.

“Would you like company?” He asked as he offered the warm cup and began spreading the blanket across her lap.

“Your company? Always!” She smiled as she put the hot tea to her lips.

Ron sat beside her on the swing and pulled the quilt to cover his legs as well. She laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

“A knut for your thoughts.” Ron said quietly trying not to disturb the wildlife around the pond.

She placed both hands around the cup to try and warm them. “Just thinking how lucky we are.”

“Really?” he didn’t quite believe that. “Are you sure its not your Mum and Dad?” he would swear it, he thought he saw her shiver the minute he mentioned them.

She sat there a minute not saying anything. “I think of them, too. And I know what they would say. Don’t be sad. Live your life to the fullest, we’ll be watching. So that’s what I’m doing.” She took another sip of the tea.”
Her parents had been captured and tortured by the Death Eeaters. Hermione and Ron were also prisoners and had seen the whole horrible ordeal. The Grangers had gladly joined the forces of their wizarding friends. The only problem, they were not armed as the rest were. They worked hard with the Order tracking the activity. This was suppose to have kept them safe. They were used by the Death Eaters to get Hermione and Ron to talk, because of course they really wanted Harry. The Grangers refused to allow the youngsters to ‘talk’. Hermione didn’t cry or give in. She held her head high with the pride and courage her parents had possessed.

Ron then noticed a single tear roll down her cheek. “Hermione, it’s alright to cry. They were your parents. It’s okay to be sad. We all understand.” He knew that’s why she held it in. She didn’t’ want to depress everyone else. “We’re here for you.” He took her chin in his hand and turned her head to look at him. “I’m here for you. I always will be.”

She fell into his chest and cried. She had not let herself do that . She wanted to cry until she could cry no more. She felt her cup slide from her hand and hit the ground. Ron’s soon followed. He had both arms wrapped tight around her.

“It’s okay love, you cry as long as you need to.” He kissed her forehead and cried with her.

*******

Harry felt as thought he would collapse at any moment. His heart pounded faster as he heard Ginny’s muffled whimpers. He looked up and saw someone in the garden swing. “Someone help!”, was about all he could get out. He didn’t think he could yell again when he saw Ron and Hermione running to the edge of the field. Ron finally got to them and took Ginny from Harry just before his arms give out.

“What happened?” Hermione asked as she helped to steady Harry.

“She fell from her broom.” He managed through deep breaths.

“For Merlin’s sake Ginny” Ron said walking briskly to the Burrow. “You need to start acting like a girl and stop playing so rough.”

Harry sighed with relief that Ron didn’t blame him. She always played rough. But he couldn’t help but laugh under his breath. She was damn good. Good enough to play professional, but he didn’t dare tell her that.

Mrs. Weasley was standing in the kitchen when they all came staggering in. “What in Cornish Pixies is going on?” She demanded.

“Ginny’s broke her leg.” Harry was now able to speak more clearly.

“Oh my, let’s get her to St. Mungo’s” Mrs. Weasley grabbed her cloak and Rose.

A/N Okay, Ginny has got problems, to say the least. Hope you like the story so far and look forward to reviews. Thanks to those of you that have reviewed.
Off To St. Mungo's We Go by scarlet phoenix feathers
Off to St. Mungo’s We Go

Ginny was again in Harry’s arms as they traveled to St. Mungo’s. Traveling by Floo powder was not the best way to go when you had a bone broken in half. She held on tight to Harry as the series of fireplaces flew pass them.

They arrived in the fireplace of the St. Mungo’s reception area. Harry stepped out immediately and raced to the desk opposite the fireplace. “Excuse Me!” He said to the witch’s back behind the counter. When the person turned he recognized her immediately. “Angelina?”

“Harry! Ginny?” She looked at Ginny who looked to be in excruciating pain. She raced around the counter and led them to a room down the hall. She instructed Harry to lay her on the table. “What’s happened?”

“I’ve broken my leg.” Ginny managed through gritted teeth. All she could think was ‘would they just get on with it and fix it.’

Angelina turned to Harry to get a more thorough explanation when the door flew open and in piled Ron, Hermione, Mrs. Weasley, and Rose. “Okay, everyone will need to step back outside so I can get to work.”

Mrs. Weasley began to protest when Ginny spoke. “Not Harry”

Angelina looked at the two of them and smiled, “Okay, everyone else then if you would please step outside, it shouldn’t take long.”

Mrs. Weasley turned half-heartedly and walked back out the door behind the others.

Harry felt a bit guilty, but he wanted to help in any way that he could. He felt horrible for what happened to Ginny. He sat quietly watching as Angelina went straight to work wishing that it could be quicker. Ginny’s face looked as though every drop of blood had been drained out of her. Her eyes were now dry but puffy. He remembered back to second year when he had broken his arm. The pain was horrible and he hadn’t been bounced halfway across the country to get to the hospital wing. Although he did have to have his bones re-grown thanks to that babbling idiot Lockhart. Gilderoy Lockhart had been the poorest excuse for a professor ever at Hogwarts.

“Harry!” Angelina now said firmly. “I think I’ll need your help to remove this boot and her trousers. I’m afraid that if I try to remove them by magic it would only do more damage.”

Harry carefully unlaced the boot and held the leg so that Angelina could slide it off. He watched as she then cut the trousers leg. He saw there, the break. The bone was trying hard to protrude through the skin. It took all that he had not to be sick right there. He had done this to her. He listened carefully as Angelina spoke the healing charm over Ginny.

*******

“Mum.” Ron looked at his mother thinking she looked extremely upset. “Would you like some tea?” He didn’t wait for her to reply. “We’ll be back.” And he, Hermione and Rose went to get something to calm her.

Mrs. Weasley sat in the chair across from the doorway that lead to the examining room. Her little girl wasn’t a little girl anymore. She had wanted Harry. She had needed Harry. It was then that Mrs. Weasley made a decision. She would have more children, on purpose this time. She had always had a house full and Rose needed someone to play with. She had always had a house full. When Ginny and Ron moved out they would have more than enough room. Maybe seven more. Maybe not. But definitely a couple more.

As Ron turned the corner back to his mother he saw her smile. Only minutes ago she looked as though her world had ended. He stepped in front of her holding out the cup. “Tea?”

“Ron” She said firmly, “I’m going to have a baby.”

CRASH! The cup fell to the floor. “You’re what?”

“Oh Mrs. Weasley when?” Hermione grabbed her hugging her.

“Well, soon, with you lot moving out, we will have plenty of room to fill.” She looked at Ron who continued to stand in front of her, mouth gaping open. “Oh dear, shut your mouth, you’ll catch a fly.” And she continued chatting with Hermione as Rose skipped up and down the hall as if she were on a jolly holiday.

*******

“Okay,” Angelina said as she wrapped a brace around the freshly mended leg. “Just stay off of it for a couple of days, then you may remove the brace. It’s just to ensure the charm is properly in place to heal the bone.”

Ginny looked at Harry. He now looked as if he had no blood left. “Harry, we can go now.” The treatment had proven to be quite traumatic for Harry.

“Yeah, right then, let’s go.” He then began to lift her again.

“Harry, you can use your wand now.” She reminded him.

“No, it’s quite alright, I’ll carry you.” He thought it was the least he could do.

“Angelina, you should come to dinner on Saturday.,” Ginny quickly said. She thought it would be nice to reunite her and Fred.

“Yeah, sure thing.” She quickly replied as Harry bolted through the door.

Everyone jumped and raced to Harry and Ginny. “Are you okay dear?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“Brilliant” Ginny assured her. “I just need to stay off of it a couple of days.”

Brilliant thought Harry. He nearly kills her and she thinks it’s brilliant. He would never forgive himself.

“Hey Harry!” Ron patted his back. “That’s one way to catch her.”

Harry didn’t say anything. He just turned and headed for the fireplace.

*******

As they all stepped out of the fireplace one by one, Ron and Hermione decided to talk a stroll around the pond. Mrs. Weasley headed to the kitchen, Rose went back to her wizard dolls and Harry placed Ginny carefully on the sofa and then turned going upstairs.

“What in the…” Was all Ginny managed before he was gone.

*******

Harry walked into the room he was currently sharing with Ginny to his amazement. The Weasley’s had been quite lineate where they were concerned. He began to remove his Quidditch uniform not believing they still fit. He removed his boots and placed them neatly in the wardrobe. If he got one thing from Auror training it was to keep everything neatly at hand in case of an emergency. He took his sock s and tossed them into the laundry basket on top of the pile of Quidditch robes. He sat on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands.

CRACK!!

Harry jumped, nearly falling to the floor, standing there in nothing but his boxers, he saw Ginny lying on the bed.

“Just what I had hoped to see.” She now had regained her strength enough to apparate upstairs. “And just what do you think you were doing leaving me lying there on that sofa?”

“I just figured you wanted to rest.” He sat back down.

“Yeah, with you. Besides, I still have on these dirty robes. Can you help me?” she said coyly.

Harry cracked a half cocked smile at her. He wasn’t mad at her. He was mad at himself. There was absolutely no reason the treat her badly. How could he have hurt her? The one person that loved him more then any other. The person that HE loved.

“Harry? What’s wrong?” She was staring directly into his eyes noticing the sad expression.

He choked back the lump in his throat. “Nothing” He turned quickly, yet again, and ran towards the shower.

*******

Ron and Hermione walked around the pond hand in hand. Ron remembered the first time they had done this. The summer after sixth year. They would sneak out here to spend time alone from the watchful eyes of the rest of the family.

“They are unique, aren’t they?” Hermione shook her head at the image that she had managed to conjure in her head of Harry plowing into Ginny.

“We just thought we were strange.” Ron laughed.

“Yeah, but Harry didn’t look happy. I wonder what else happened?” Hermione always wanted to make sure everyone was okay.

“They’ll be okay, I want you to worry about us.” He pulled her close to him.

Hermione put her arms around his neck. “Your wish is my command.”

Ron lifted her, kissing her while her feet dangled beneath them.

*******

Ginny watched as Harry fled from the room. Oh no, he wasn’t going to do this to her again. He had spent years shutting himself up. It had taken her to long to get through. She pulled herself up and hopped to the bathroom door. “Harry James Potter!” she yelled as she flung the door open.

“Ginny! I’m in the shower.”

She could see clearly through the glass door, but at this point she didn’t care. “I have absolutely had it. You are not ignoring me, shutting me out, or whatever else you might come up with to leave me in the dark. Damn it, Harry. You’re going to say more than ‘nothing’ to me or I’m going to come into that shower, pull you out and commence to knock some sense into that thick skull of yours.” She felt the heat in her face now and her hands were trembling with anger wanting to hit something. Without thinking she reared back her recently healed leg and kicked the cupboard that held clean towels and bed linens. The instant she did she regretted it. She winced, holding back the scream that lay on her tongue. Harry stepped from the shower throwing a towel around him.

“Ginny, do you really think I want to talk about it? Do you think that I want to think about the fact that I could have killed you. You need to STOP! Don’t love me! Go ahead hate me! I want you to! At least then I’ll know nothing will happen to you. First, my mum and dad, then Sirius. I’ll be damned if I lose you as well. Everyone that has ever loved me has left me. At least if you leave now, you won’t die!”

Ginny took in a deep breath. “What kind of idiotic logic is that. Do you honestly believe that they were the only people that loved you.” She noticed the glimmer of tears forming in his eyes. She then lowered her voice. “Harry, it’s not your fault. That’s not the first time I’ve fallen from a broomstick, hell, it probably won’t be the last.”

She hopped over taking him into her arms. His bare chest was still wet and soapy. She smoothed his wet hair and kissed him. “Harry, you could never make me hate you.”

He closed his eyes and thought how lucky could one person be to have someone like Ginny. They were perfect together. She fit him. She had to be perfect to put up with his emotional episodes. Then he remembered her leg. “You need to get off that thing now.” He bent to lift her.

“No,” she stopped him. “I need a bath. I’m still in these robes I ate the dirt in.” She laughed.

“That’s not funny.” And then he began to help her disrobe.

Ginny was still a bit uncomfortable. It now suddenly hit her. Her adrenalin had not allowed her to care that Harry had been in the shower. She sat in a chair as Harry turned on the faucets to fill the tub. She now had nothing on but one of Harry’s old t-shirts she had borrowed earlier.

Harry walked to the chair looking down into her big beautiful eyes. Her flame red hair mangled from the days events. He helped her remove the brace from her leg and removed the old shirt. He lifted her nude body and gently sat her into the tub. He then stood dropped his own towel and stepped into the warm bath sitting behind her.

Ginny leaned back against Harry as he took the sponge and ran it across her body. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment that just minutes ago didn’t seem possible.

“I love you for loving me,” he whispered into her ear. “Just don’t ever stop.”

“Never, Harry, never,” was all she said.

A/N I know, Mrs. Weasley has lost her mind. Just hold on to your keyboards, things are about to change. Thanks to those of you that have taken it upon yourself to contact me personally, and you know who you are, I hope you enjoy this one. Long live the Weasley's.
Old Friends, New Love by scarlet phoenix feathers
Old Friends, New Love

Harry and Ron sat in the corner of the living room playing an intense game of wizards chess. Harry had always enjoyed the unusual way the chess pieces moved about on command and smashed each other when pieces where taken. He had never been allowed to play chess before he started his school career at Hogwarts. His mother’s sister and her family had never allowed Harry to do much of anything. Ron was an excellent chess player and had gladly shown Harry the way to play. Harry still wasn’t as good as Ron, but then again, he never imagined he would be anyway.

“Checkmate!” Ron had won again.

“It’s hopeless.” Harry was disappointed, yet again.

“Come on mate, you nearly had me that time. How about another game?”

Harry got up and went to the sofa. Ginny was sitting there with her leg propped on several pillows. Ginny slid her leg over, removing the pillows and making room for Harry when he was tackled.

“I’ll give you quite!” Ron struggled to take Harry down.

“You’ve had it Ron.” Harry tried to throw Ron from him. “You’re crazy.”

“That’s right, I am. Just call me Raging Ron the Wild Weasley.”

The two of them wrestled around knocking over the end table next to Ginny.

Hermione sat in a corner chair, she looked up from her book, shook her head and continued to read.

Harry had managed to throw Ron to the floor and quickly got to his feet. He ran jumping over the sofa turning to face Ron. Ron worked his way to his feet taking a stance as if he were about to attack again. Ron was a bit more muscular and taller. Harry, on the other hand, was more wiry and agile.

“Okay, what are you going to do now?” Harry smirked.

Ron dashed in Harry’s direction trying to jump the sofa as well, but didn’t make it. The toe of his huge foot caught the throw on the back of the sofa and over he went head first.

Harry jumped to the side to avoid being crushed. “HA! Raging Ron is out for the count. That’ll teach you to be such a bully.”

Ron sat up slowly, holding his face. When he removed his hand it was covered in blood. “Urgh, you busted my nose!”

“Me? If you hadn’t been chasing me this would not have happened, you big oaf.” Harry retorted.

Hermione jumped up, grabbing a tissue, rushing over to Ron. “Honestly, when are you going to grow up?”

“Never!” He smiled while blood continued to drip into his head.

“Here” She placed the tissue on his nose and tilted his head back. She pinched the bridge of his nose to help stop the blood flow.

“Ow! Watch it. That hurts,” he whined.

“Serves you right!” She had not the least bit of sympathy for him. Ron looked up to see Ginny stretching her neck to see over the back of the sofa. Harry was now sitting next to her with her leg propped across his lap.

Knock!

Hermione walked towards the door while Ron eased himself up to find a chair.

“Angelina!” Hermione yelled as she opened the door wider to let her in.

“Hi” Angelina looked around the room. “Good to see you’re still off that leg.” She spoke to Ginny directly.

“Well, with my guard here, I can’t so much as walk to the kitchen.” She playfully punched Harry’s shoulder.

“What happened to you?” Angelina noticed Ron’s blood stained tissue plastered across his face.

“’Arry did I.” he said, sounding as though his hand were in a bucket.

“He did not!” Hermione had beat Ginny’s protest. “Our overgrown child here thought it would be fun to take a flying leap over the sofa after Harry…He missed.” She began snickering, but couldn’t hold back any longer. “He hit face first, and was he ever so graceful. Thought I was at the ballet.” The whole room erupted in laughter.

“S’op it. It wasunt thwat bad!” Ron’s nose bad let up, but was now beginning to swell.

“Oh, stop trying to talk and hold your head back.” Hermione walked over taking the tissue and forcing his head back and holding his nose again.

The front door flew open again and in filed Fred and George. “Angelina!” Fred noticed first. He had always had a thing for her. “How are you?” He gave a quick hug.

“Wonderful!” Her face lit up and then she noticed George. “Hi, George.” She was trying not to show obvious favoritism as she hugged George as well. “Ginny invited me to dinner when she was at St. Mungo’s”

George then noticed Ron. “What happened to you?” Ron rolled his eyes at being asked the same question that was just answered. “Hermione finally had enough, huh?”

Hermione then explained yet again what had happened.

“What a graceful lot this is. One falls from a broom, the other falls over his own feet. That takes pure talent.” George was having to much fun with this. Fred hadn’t been listening to George’s comments. He had taken to Angelina quite quickly. He thought he had let her go once, he wasn’t about to let it happen again.

Angelina didn’t mind the attention at all. Although Fred and George were twins she could tell the difference. Fred had a look in his eyes that made her melt. He always had. It was quite remarkable that she made it through all those matches in one piece. She was always distracted by him.

“Oh, Angelina, you’re here.” Mrs. Weasley came down the stairs followed by Fleur.

Bill and Charlie had come in during the introductions.

Mrs. Weasley looked at them and the twins, “You four best be getting cleaned up for dinner.” They had been working on the house next door for their younger siblings and future spouses.
*******

Ron had always been a bit of an aggressive eater; however tonight he was more of a disgusting eater. His technique had changed for the worse. He was unable to breathe through the swollen mass on his face, so he was trying to chew and breath at the same time. And he continued to overload his mouth so he looked like a pig that had been slopped.

“Hey, twinkle toes, can you eat without showing it off?” Bill was becoming extremely disgusted by the sight. “ take smaller bites or something. I’m about to lose what little I have managed to eat.”

“Please, let us eat peacefully and Ron, stop smacking.” Mrs. Weasley was even a bit disgusted as well.

“I canth helf it!” Ron again was whining.

“Maybe he’ll think twice before starting something ha can’t finish.” Ginny retorted.

“Can we discuss something else?” Mr. Weasley had heard enough. His attention then turned to Angelina. “How’s your job going?”

“Splendid! I’m thinking of trying to get a job with a Quidditch team as a team healer.”

“That would be exciting.” Fred was showing entirely to much interest.

“Absolutely!” Charlie tried to join the conversation, but both Fred and Angelina never acknowledged his remark.

“Forget it Charlie, we’ve lost them.” George rolled his eyes.

“Great dinner Mum, I think I’ll take Angelina out back to see the garden.” Fred stood up and walked to Angelina’s chair holding out his arm. “My lady.”

Angelina took his arm and the two of them strolled out as if no one else existed.

“Well, Charlie, it looks like its just me and you.” George said.

“What?” Charlie looked confused.

“You know, without strings to tie us down.”

“Sorry little brother, you’re on your own.” Charlie grinned.

“Not you too?” George looked disappointed.

“Yep, our baby sister here is quite the matchmaker. She introduced me to a young Quidditch player. Been together ever since. She’s been on a practice tour that’s why I haven’t brought her by”

“Don’t worry George, you’re next.” Ginny had a devilish grin across her face.

“You stay away from me.” He scooted his chair as though he was trying to get further away from her.

“Now George it wouldn’t hurt if you let your sister find you a nice girl.” Mrs. Weasley wanted desperately for all her children to be happy and she believed George needed a good girl.

“That’s okay George, I’ll be your girl.” Rose smiled.

“There you go, I have a girl.” He scooped her up from her chair and headed for the lounge.

Ginny turned to her mum, “Don’t worry Mum, I’ll get him someone.” Ginny looked quite sure of herself.

A/N This was for all you Fred and Angelina shippers. Hope you all liked it. Let's see who else we can work on. (We can't leave anyone out, now can we.) Hope you enjoyed it and come back for more. Thanks to all of you that have let me know what you think.
It's Off to Work We Go by scarlet phoenix feathers
It’s Off to Work We Go

The two weeks that the couples together went by so quickly. Although she loved her job, Hermione wasn’t quite ready to leave Ron’s side to return to work. The sleeping arrangements remained the same so at least she could at least her nights with him.

“Hermione!” Ron yelled, “Which robes should I wear today? I want to make a good impression.”

She stepped into the closet , “What about the dark green ones? They look great with your hair and the color is very masculine.”

“Cool” was all he said as his kissed her cheek taking the robes and slipping them on.

She sometimes thought he was just an overgrown kid, but she still loved him. “Are you excited?”

“Yeah,” he said “And nervous.”

Ron finished dressing, held out his arm and the two of them strolled arm in arm to breakfast.

Harry and Ginny were already eating when Ron and Hermione entered the room. Rose was dancing around the room. “Look at me, I’m a little pixie.”

Ron remembered how horrible pixies could be. “I think your more of a fairy.” During his second year at Hogwarts there had been quite a disturbance caused by a cage full of the blue menaces.

The little girl thought for a moment and then agreed. “Okay, I’m a fairy.” And she twirled as she passed him.

When Ron finished he stood facing Hermione. “Ready?”

“Oh” She looked surprised. “I don’t need to actually go the ministry today. I’ll be working on location.”

Ron looked a bit taken aback, “Okay then,” He bent to kiss her. “I’ll see you this evening then?”

“You bet.” She kissed him back. “Good Luck!”

“Harry are you ready?” Ron turned to his best friend, trying to hide his disappointment.

Harry and Ginny stood up. “Let’s go!” They said in unison.

“Wait!” Rose squealed, “I want a kiss, too”

Ron couldn’t resist, he lifted her over his head and flung her around then bringing her closer and kissed her forehead. “There you go you little fairy, have a great day.”

Hermione watched with glee. He’s going to be a great father she thought.

Rose ran to Harry expecting a hug and kiss as well. He obliged smiling. He thought that was what Ginny must have been like growing up.

“Bye” Everyone shouted and they were gone.

“Harry! Ron!” Mad Eye Moody bellowed from his desk.

Ron and Harry both came sprinting and nearly fell over his desk. “Yes sir!” They said together.

“First,” he said, “Clam down.”

They both took deep breaths. “Yes sir.” They said more calmly.

“We have a problem. I want you two to go check out a report of illegal use of nifflers in Surrey.”

They looked disappointed.

Ron almost whimpered. “Nifflers sir?”

“Yes!” He said loudly. “Someone is trying to use them to steal things from Muggles and their banks.”

“But,” Harry objected. “Isn’t that for the Magical Creatures Dept.?”

“NO, It is not! They are being used to STEAL!” Mad Eye saw the disappointment on their faces. “Look guys. Things aren’t always exciting. Especially now that most of the dark wizards are in Azkaban. Besides you have to start somewhere. Now get going.”

They turned walking out the door, sulking.

“This is hell, you know.” Ron finally remarked, once out of earshot. “Nifflers, we were what…4th years when we dealt with those?”

“Yeah,” Harry chuckled, “But they are in the hands of thieves.”

“Oh, don’t give me that, we’ve fought dark forces.”

Harry listened to Ron complain the rest of the day. Trying to make the most of the situation. “Come on Ron, we’ve done enough of the dark stuff. Don’t you think we need a break?” With that being said he noticed the red beginning to fade from his face.

“I guess.” He shrugged.

To the duo’s amazement the nifflers were being used all over. There had even been evidence of their use near the Dursley’s house.

As they wandered the area, looking for evidence of peculiar nature, they came upon the park Harry often hid in from the likes of Dudley and his ogre friends. Before they knew it they had turned onto Privet Dr. Harry’s eyes immediately came upon the place that he had spent his first eleven years. In the front yard sat a chubby little child that greatly resembled Dudley at that age. Soon a very thin woman appeared in the garden. His Aunt Petunia. He listened as she spoke.

“Oh, there’s my little Stanley-poo! Come to Gramkins.” She struggled to lift the child who looked to be three. As she turned she glanced at him and quickly, upon noticing him, ran towards the house slamming the door.

He laughed, “If the nifflers got to them, oh well. Let them suffer.”

They visited with Mrs. Figg who helped them compile a list a possible offenders and victims in the area.

*******

“Hey…anyone here?” Ginny yelled as she ran through the Burrow. “I’ve great news!”

“Whafisit?” Ron came out of the kitchen with half a sandwich in his mouth.

“Where’s Harry?” She asked ignoring the food falling from Ron’s mouth.

“He’s upstairs showering, he should nearly be done.” He managed before taking another large bite.

“What is all the yelling about?” The others began filing in.

“I have season tickets to see the Chudley Cannons: Top Box.”

“Bloody Brilliant!” Ron shouted nearly choking now.

"They heard that the family were fans and since I worked for the Magical games dept. they gave me passes for the entire top box.”

Harry had now appeared on the staircase and began to work his way to her. He wasn’t trying to get to her to celebrate, but to protect her. Ron had gone insane. He lifted her much like he had Rose earlier and proceeded to fling her around the room.

“Ron, you can let me down.” She managed to scream.

“Hermione!” Ron turned to her.

“Don’t even think about it, Ronald Weasley!”

“I was just going to say,” calming himself down. “YOU’RE GOING TO SEE THE BEST QUIDDITCH TEAM EVER!” He shouted again. He then lifted her off her feet.

“I’m warning you, Ron.”

But he didn’t listen. Hermione was now kicking and fighting to find solid ground. He had finely grown tired and placed her down gently. Hermione stood there trying to straighten her blouse. The only thing she could think of was she was glad she had chosen to wear jeans instead of a skirt under her robes.

Soon things had calmed down a bit and the entire family sat around the table.

“How was your first day as Aurors?” Mr. Weasley asked Ron and Harry.

“Oh, it was good.” Harry said knowing that Ron might blow up again.

“Are you kidding!” Ron exclaimed. He then turned to Mr. And Mrs. Weasley. “It was pathetic. They had us out looking for illegal nifflers. They could have at least given us some pixies to hex.” Ron continued to ramble on and the tips of his ears grew more red with each second.

“Well dear,” Mrs. Weasley said, “You have to start somewhere, besides at least I know you’re safe.”

Ron rolled his eyes and continued to stuff food into his mouth knowing his Mum would enjoy the fact that his job had been boring.

Mrs. Weasley had tried very hard to mind her own business now that Ron and Ginny were older, but she was still their mother. “So, have you decided when you might want to have the weddings?”

“We haven’t really discussed it.” Ginny said looking around at the others.

“Harry? Ron?” Mrs. Weasley pressured.

“I think that should be up to the girls.” Harry attempted to share the pressure with Ron. “Don’t you Ron?”

“I really figured they would already have everything ready to go when we returned.” He added.

“Well, In that case.” Hermione decided to join the conversation. “How about Christmas then?”

“Oh Brilliant!” Ginny squealed. “It would be lovely.”

“It should give us three months.” Hermione figured.

Harry then shocked everyone when he joined in with more interest now. “It would be nice if we could have it at Hogwarts.”

“Hogwarts?” Ron had a confused look on his face.

“Well…yeah…I mean…besides here I always thought of Hogwarts as my home and it is where we all met.”

They all thought about what he said. “Oh,” Mrs. Weasley was nearly crying. “Wouldn’t it be wonderful as a double ceremony?” She then clapped her hands together as to make it final.

*******

“Hope my day isn’t as boring as yesterday.” Ron said.

“You should be thankful really…it means there are less dark wizards. Wasn’t that the point of the war we all spent so long fighting?” Hermione asked him.

“Yeah…you’re right.” He said after thinking about it. “So, what’s on your agenda today?”

“Well, I now have the nifflers to set straight.” Holding back a grin. “We’ve decided to require licenses so that we know who has them. I’ll be working on the proposal today.”

“So, can we have lunch today then?” Ron’s spirits seemed to rise.

“I’m sorry sweet.” She hugged and kissed him, taking a couple of minutes to do so.

“That’s okay.” He now didn’t seem to mind. Hermione had a way of making everything alright.

A/N Poor guys, they just can't catch a break. Was the update fast enough for you? And you know who you are. LOL Enjoy and have a great day.
Surprises Unveiled by scarlet phoenix feathers
Surprises Unveiled

“Where are you two off too?” Ron and Harry heard Mad Eye bellow across the main office.

“LUNCH!!” They screamed back across the noisy room.

“Pick me up something!” He now had nearly cracked the walls.

“Sure thing.” Harry yelled as he waved and walked on out the door marked Ministry of Magic - Defense Dept. - Aurors.

“So…where to?” Harry questioned Ron.

“Magical Creatures Dept.” Ron replied thinking he might catch Hermione there.

Harry looked a bit confused. “Didn’t Hermione say she would be out of the office today?”

“Yeah, I’m hoping to catch her. Besides I still haven’t seen were she works.” He really was missing her, he just didn’t want to get to sentimental in front of Harry. Two weeks just hadn’t been enough time to catch up on five years.

They came to a door marked Ministry of Magic - Magical Creatures Dept. - Advocates. Ron pushed open the door and he and Harry continued into the room full of house elves.

“Hello sirs, how may Buster help you today?” The house elf seemed very excited to have them.

Ron looked at Harry giving him that quizzical look by cocking one eyebrow. “I can’t believe it Harry. Hermione has all these house elves working here.”

Harry looked just as confused but addressed the house elf. “Buster, is it?”

The house elf shook his head. “Yes sir.”

The house elf noticed the Auror badges on their robes. “Oh what a special day this is being. Aurors come to visit us!”

“We’re here to see Hermione Granger.” He noticed other house elves racing about with stacks of folders and others with tea trays.

“Oh, pardon me sir, but Miss Granger isn’t being working in this office. She stops by time to time sirs, but she has an office outside this office.”

“Really?” Ron was now thoroughly confused . “Can you tell us where then?”

“Oh, Buster’s being sorry, but Miss Granger doesn’t tell us where that would be sirs.” The house elf was shaking his head violently to ensure that they knew what he meant. “The wonderful Minister, Mr. Weasley, just hired us when no one else would. He even pays us, but we don’t take no mores than we needs sirs. Only a galleon a week.” The Minister then made me take a whole week off, but I refused the galleon, I did.” Looking proud as a stood up straighter.

Ron turned to the door, he was beyond confused, he was absolutely baffled.

Harry quickly said thank you to the house elf before sprinting after Ron.

“What’s she hiding Harry?” Was all he could say.

Ron didn’t even eat lunch, he went back to the office while Harry picked up something and brought it back to the office for Mad Eye and himself. He felt horrible. Why would Hermione lie to Ron? What could make her hide all this from both of them. Then he thought, did Ginny know?

*******

“Oh, Mrs. Weasley that smells wonderful.” Hermione exclaimed to her as she walked into the kitchen.

“Thank you dear.” She smiled at her future daughter-in-law.

“Hermione dear, can we talk…..I mean really talk?” She looked worried about something.

“Yes” Hermione pulled up a chair.

Mrs. Weasley pulled one up beside her. “When are you going to tell Ron about your job? You can’t put if of any longer. He’s going to get suspicious you not wanting him to come to the Ministry Offices.”

“I know.” Hermione now looked even more worried than Mrs. Weasley. “I’m just scared…scared of what he’ll think of say.”

Mrs. Weasley took her hand. “He loves you - Give him a little more credit, He’ll understand.” Just then they heard a crash--- He was home.

Harry and Ron walked into the kitchen.

“Ron” Hermone jumped to hug him, but he turned and walked the long way around the table. He opened the refrigerator and pulled out a fire whiskey, popped it open and headed back to the lounge.

Hermione’s eyes wide, she looked at Harry.

“He knows you haven’t been at the Ministry office.” That’s all he could say.

“Oh no.” She fell back into the seat.

“What is going on?” Harry demanded.

She shook her head trying to think straight. “I’ve got to talk to him.”

“You’re damn right you do!” Harry now yelled.

Mrs. Weasley took Harry’s arm. “Harry, we need to talk outside”

Hermione now knew she had to tell Ron everything. She took a deep breath and walked into the next room.

“Ron” she began.

“Hermione, What’s going on!” He held it in long enough.

Hermione’s face was melancholy, no expression. She looked as though every ounce of blood was gone from her body. She walked over and stopped in front of him. And held out her hand.

“What!?” he yelled.

She calmly said, “Please! Take my hand.”

He reached up and grabbed her hand and she pulled for him to stand. She led him upstairs.

“What is going on?” He stuttered.

“Just come with me a listen.” Was all she said.

They came to the fifth floor and a door leading to the attic. She opened it to walk up the narrow staircase.

“Why are we going to the attic?” He asked.

She didn’t answer. When they came to the top she turned and took another deep breath. “Ron, no matter how mad you may be, I need you to promise to let me completely finish what I have to say.” She waited for his answer.

Ron thought for a moment. This was Hermione, he had to listen. “Promise.”

She continued through the door and with a wave of her wand the lights flickered on around the room. Ron looked around, amazed, but didn’t speak. He promised.

“Ron, I have worried about this moment for five years.” She peered out the window, watching Mrs. Weasley and Harry, wondering how much he now knew. “When you left I was a mess. Happy, Scared, Worried. You were all I had left and you had gone.” She felt tears forming in her eyes. Everything was starting to blur. She swallowed hard, and continued. “I was making myself sick. I couldn’t eat or sleep. Your family took great care of me.” She looked around, pointing. “Your dad agreed to allow me to make this my office. I worked a lot trying to keep myself busy, but I remained sick. They all tried everything,” She looked at him. He had a single tear on his cheek.

“Why didn’t…” He started.

“Ron, I wouldn’t have it. They tried to persuade me to let them send for you, but I thought of the people that needed you and Harry to be Aurors to protect them. In memory of Mom and Dad.”

Ron felt as though he may choke. He walked over and took her into his arms.

“I always wanted you to have your dream. Not to live in the shadows of the other Weasley’s.” She walked to her desk and picked up a frame from her desk to hand to him.

Ron took it, but couldn’t take his eyes off of her. He wished he had known. He would have come back.

“Look.” She simply said, pointing to the frame.

Ron looked down to the frame blinking back the tears so he could see. In bold print he read.

Certificate of Birth---Rosemary Jane Granger Weasley
Mother --- Hermione Jane Granger
Father ---- Ronald Bilius Weasley

He blinked even harder and read over the words again. He stood with his mouth open trying to find the words to speak.

“That’s why I was so sick.” Hermione said, obviously scared. “Once we found out they really tried getting you back, but like I said I wanted you to finish. We all needed you know. SHE needed you to be able to protect her.” She didn’t know what else to say. “I will understand if you hate me.” She tried to walk tot eh door to leave him alone to think. “I’m sorry is has taken me this ling to tell you. I have been terrified of what you would say…of what you would do.”

“Hermione!”

She stopped but didn’t turn. She felt his hands on her shoulders.

Ron spun he around, hugging her as tight as he could. He then managed to speak again. “She’s really ours?”

“Yeah,” she said “she is.”

He was now speechless but he managed. “I love you.”

She busted out loud, crying. “Ron…I love you too.”

New Beginnings by scarlet phoenix feathers
New Beginnings

Ron and Hermione walked arm in arm into the kitchen. Harry looked at the both of them not quite knowing what to say. Obviously he now knew everything. Ron’s eyes caught his mother’s. She was still weepy eyed. They were obvious tears of complete joy. Ron’s eyes continued to scan the room until he saw HER!!! He lit up. Ron walked around the table, picked up Rose, swung her and then pulled her close to his chest. Tears were appearing in his eyes.

“What’s wrong Ron?” Rose looked at the adults in the room.

“It’s okay sweetheart, tell him.” Hermione smiled.

The little girl took Ron’s face between her little hands. “What’s wrong…Daddy?”

Ron’s heart leapt to his throat. “Nothing, honey. Absolutely nothing.”

“Mommy, Grams, you were right, he’s crying.” She hugged him tight and kissed his cheek.

Harry had even resorted to wiping his eyes with the sleeves of his robes. His two best friends had been through so much together. They had the life that they deserved.

Hermione and the others sat around the table while Hermione explained how they were able to hide the secret for so long. “Well, I worked here so Mrs. Weasley could take care of me. She even began to disguise herself so that she appeared to be the one with child. We wanted the whole thing to remain a secret until Ron was able to find out. As far as anyone else was concerned Rose belonged to Mr. And Mrs. Weasley. We called on Madam Pomphrey who took care of the delivery. The only people that were in on the masquerade were Mr. And Mrs. Weasley , Ginny, Madam Pomphrey…Oh and Professor Dumbledore.”

“Ginny knew.” Harry screamed.

“Yes,” Hermione said, “And she was swore to secrecy. Do you really think this is something we could have hidden from her?” Hermione half laughed.

Ron pulled her closer to him and kissed her. “Hermione, I’m sorry.”

“What for?” She asked.

“For putting you through that .” He said trying not to choke up again.

“Ron, I wouldn’t trade a minute of it all.” Her face had softened and her eyes were locked on his.

“Well,” Mrs. Weasley said, “it’s Friday Family Dinner. I guess we have to make an announcement.”

“Oh no.” Ron groaned.

“What?” Mrs. Weasley looked concerned.

“Fred and George.” Ron said putting his head in his hands.

The room erupted with laughter.

He felt little hands on his arm. “It’s okay Daddy, I’ll beat them up for you.”

Harry shook his head. “Yep, she’s Hermione’s.”

*******

“Dinner was great!” Mr. Weasley said. “How about tea in the lounge?” He stood leading the herd. Everyone following.

The Weasley family made their way to seats about the room. Harry sat on the floor leaning on the sofa. Ginny settled in beside him knowing what was about to happen.

Children were sitting near the fireplace chatting and laughing. Rose was the only girl so far so she often found the boys to be quite immature. Bill and Fleur had two boys that were quite rambunctious. Percy and Penelope now had four boys which included a set of twins. They were beginning to show signs of possibly carrying on the jokesters tradition. Percy swore he was cursed to have to go through the anguish of living with yet another set of boys that had no conception of the rules, but he also learned to love them just the same. He had certainly had to find his sense of humor.

Mr. Weasley looked at his family grinning. “Tonight is a very important night for the Weasley family. Some one has a very important announcement and I want all of you to listen quietly.” As he added the last bit he looked directly at Fred and George. Both nodded confirming a silent promise. The others peered about the room trying to figure out what was so important to have this much attention. With that being said Mr. Weasley looked at Ron and Hermione, who then stood up and faced the room.

Hermione began slowly at the beginning and followed through trying not to pause long enough for any interruptions. When she finished the room remained silent. The look on the rest of the families faces was absolutely classic. Even Fred and George were speechless. Harry and Ginny still smiling at their best friends. Mrs. Weasley was again in tears.

“Okay” Ron said nervously. “This is the longest this lot has gone without speaking.”

George had remained quite just to long. “Wha…How…I can’t believe it, little bitty Ronnie is a ---” he paused. “a Daddy?”

Little Rose now was sitting in the armchair with Mrs. Weasley. She was much smarter than the family gave her credit for. She jumped from the chair ran to Ron and Hermione and stood between them taking a hand from each. She raised the hand with Hermione’s in it. “This is my Mummy.” Then the other. “This is my Daddy.” Then she sighed like they were the thickest bunch of people in the world. “What part of that do you not understand.” Chuckles could be heard around the room.

“Come on!” Charlie yelled. “How could she not be, she’s got Hermione’s attitude and Ron’s hair.”

“Don’t forget those faces.” Bill added. “I always thought it was like watching Ron grow up again. Although her hair is a bit wild.”

This was true. She had the flaming red hair, but it wasn’t silky like Ginny’s had been growing up. It had the bushy quality like Hermione’s. Soon the family got over the shock and not knowing what to say they just all began hugging one another.

“You know I really thought that was a possibility.” Percy said trying to act as though he had known all along.

“Oh stop,” Fred spat at Percy. “You’re just as much of a git as the rest of us.”

Percy shrewd his face. “Honestly.” He huffed, moving to the other side of the room with Penelope in tow. She looked at Fred holding back a laugh.

Everyone watched Ron closely to see if they could see how he was truly taking it. He was smiling, carrying Rose around in one arm and the other wrapped around Hermione. All three were happy.

Finally, things were how they were suppose to be.

*******

Hermione stood in the doorway of Rose’s room quietly watching Ron tuck her in. He was wonderful with her. Yet again he was before he knew that she was his child. Hermione listened carefully.

“You sleep well my little fairy.” He sounded like a pro.

“I will Daddy!” Rose whispered then she noticed a tear. “Why are you sad?”

“Oh honey, I’m not sad, I’m happy.” He whispered back. He then thought and said, “I’m sorry I wasn’t here with you and Mummy. You know I love you both very much.”

“Yes, Mommy and Grams both told me that you had to work very hard to be an Auror so you could protect us.” She said proudly.

Hermione was so proud of her. Once Rose found out what Aurors did she said she wanted to one like her Daddy and Uncle Harry.

Ron stood up and kissed Rose’s forehead and whispered. “Dream of the fairies sweet.”

“Yes Daddy, Good night.” She turned and closed her eyes.

Ron came to the door, face to face with Hermione. “Let’s go to bed, love.” He pulled Roses door closed and continued down the hall to their room.

Hermione reached for the door but Ron stopped her. He turned her to him, picked her up and carried her through the door.

“I wish I could have seen her grow up to what she is today.” He said as he sat Hermione on the bed.

Hermione’s heart sank. “Ron” She gasped, holding him tight. “I have something for you.” She walked to the wardrobe and pulled a box from the bottom drawer. She opened the box and pulled out a strange metal box that he had remembered seeing once at her parent’s home. “This is a DVD player. Your father and I have worked on this forever. All these years I have recorded everything on these.” She held up a shiny circular disc. “We bewitched the muggle equipment so that we could watch them without electricity.” She then pulled out a small television and sat it on the desk opposite the bed. They both curled into comfortable spots on the bed and Hermione muttered an incantation and the telly began to play.

Ron was amazed, there stood his Mum talking to him. “Hi Ron…Is that right Hermione?” She asked the camera.

“Yes, yes, keep going.” Hermione said from behind the camera.

Ron then heard his Dad’s voice. “Let me have a go Hermione, let’s get you on camera.”

He heard her laugh. “Not looking like this.”

Mrs. Weasley was talking to the camera again. “Yes dear this is for Ron, we have to get everything.”

And there she was. Ron smiled at the woman that he loved looking at him from the screen. He noticed her belly.

“Hi Ron.” She was waving, then turned sideways. “As you obviously now know about our child, this is me 9 months pregnant. Any minute now.” She smiled, then a look on her face told him that she was sad.

Ron put his arm around the Hermione that was sitting next to him. The onscreen Hermione spoke again. “I just wish you could be here. You know I love, we both do.” She patted her stomach.

“We do to dear.” He heard his Mum and Dad behind the camera.

The scene stopped. He looked at Hermione. “What happened?”

“That’s the end of that part, but there’s more.” She went for the box.

“Wait,” he said “later.” He pulled her to him kissing her.

Hermione was ecstatic. This turned out much better than she had hoped. She felt Ron kissing her neck and he laid her down. She was savoring every moment.

A/N No big secrets here but a fun chapter to write anyway. I like the idea of Hermione working with Mr. and Mrs. Weasley to record the events of the pregnancy for Ron. Hope you all like it and hope to hear from you all. Thanks for staying so loyal to my story.
Blast From The Past by scarlet phoenix feathers
Blast from the Past

Hermione woke the next morning later than usual. Ron was already out of bed. She crawled out of bed and showered quickly. As she dressed she whistled a tune that she remembered hearing on the Wireless Network.

“Hermione?”

Hermione jumped at the voice coming from the crack in the bedroom door. “Yes?” She looked from the closet as she put on her robes.

“Hey” Harry walked in slowly looking a bit apprehensive.

Hermione smiled. “What brings you up? I figured you and Ron would be up to something.”

“Nah, he’s in the kitchen.” He put his hands in his pockets and looked almost nervous. “I just wanted to talk. We haven’t had a good conversation in awhile.”

He was right. She and Ron had been so wrapped up in each other, they hadn’t spent much time together like they had in school. “Come on Harry, sit down.”

They sat down together in two chairs that sat side by side in front of the fireplace. She had spent a lot of time here reading when Ron and Harry were gone.

“It’s not anything really. It’s just since the announcement Ginny has not stopped. Hermione,” He looked into her eyes, “I really think she is jealous.”

“What do you mean?” She furrowed her brow.

“She’s so crazy about Rose. I think she’s wanting children right away.” He looked a bit pale. “Don’t get me wrong. I want children too…but I’m - scared.” He didn’t know why he was so nervous talking about this with Hermione. He knew she would understand. “Look at how things turned out for my Mum and Dad…and me.”

Then she understood. “Harry” Hermione put her hands on his trying to comfort him. “Things are different. Voldemort’s gone. Besides if anything should happen to you or Ginny your children would have plenty of LOVING people to take care of them.” She knew that this is what was really bothering him. His life with the Dursley’s had been awful. He had told them stories of being forced to live in the cupboard under the stairs. The embarrassment of wearing his very large cousin Dudley’s clothes. The names he was called and the horrible references constantly made about his parents had made his childhood a nightmare.

“I just think that I needed reassurance from someone that could really understand. Without the Weasley’s you and I are just about the same. The only difference is Voldemort took my parent’s long before he took yours.” He noticed Hermione’s face making the connection. Outside the Weasley’s she was the closest thing to family he had. He trusted her with his life, and he would trust her with his child’s. “What I really need to know is that should anything happen to me, Ginny or the both of us, that you will look after our children.”

“Harry, you didn’t have to ask that. You should know that I would. Just like I would expect you and Ginny to look after mine.”

“Thanks.” Was all he needed to say.

“Come on Harry, we are wasting a beautiful day up here. Let’s go find the others. Maybe you all could get in a game of Quidditch.”

“Hey, you know we have a game to attend tomorrow. The Chudley Cannons are back in town. Ron hasn’t shut up all morning.” Harry grimaced at the thought of Ron during the game.

“Yeah, I know, I’ve heard it for the last few days.”

*******

Hermione and Harry walked into the kitchen. Sitting at the large wooden table was Ron and Rose. Ron had a book opened in front of them. “You see Rose, you’ll need to know these things. When you get to Hogwarts this history will be important. Every student that attends the school should at least know how it was established.”

Harry couldn’t resist. “Is that right Mr. Headboy who has never cracked a book unless forced to?”

“Shut up Harry, my daughter has a reputation to uphold.” He held his head high.

“I’m sorry, who’s daughter?” Hermione crossed her arms in front of her and threw her weight to one foot.

“Our daughter, dear.” He stammered. He then turned his attention back to Rose.

“Hey all.” Charlie came in looking for a drink. “My girl’s back. She’ll be here tonight. She’s going with us to the game tomorrow.”

“Right, I’m excited.” Ron had been so involved with Rose he hadn’t thought about it in the last hour.

“Daddy, can I go as well?” Rose looked up.

“Of course, I wouldn’t go without you.” He brushed her hair back behind her ear.

“Amazing.” Charlie said under his breath. “The things that will change people/ I thin that this has been the best thing for you Ron.”

“Well, yeah, her and her mum.” he shot Hermione a loving smile and winked at her.

Fred and George stood on the second floor of the new house looking over the railing at Percy and Bill. They were putting some finishing touches on the ground floor before working their way up to the upper floors. They believed that the house should be christened in style. In honour of Peeves, the original water boy, they began pelting Bill and Percy with their supply of ammunition.

“Fred! George!”

They didn’t need to see the culprits. They knew immediately who was behind the mayhem. The Weasley twins had quite the reputation of causing disaster wherever they may be. They found this type of behavior highly entertaining. Peeves, the practical joking ghost of Hogwarts, had been their idol. They owed most of their knowledge to him. During their sixth year at Hogwarts they had caused such chaos chaos during the reign of the horrible Professor Umbridge, that it had taken weeks to clean up. Fireworks had gone off for ages. Professor Umbridge had been such a horrible person the other professors had refrained from assisting her I the cleanup. Fred and George left the school that night, and until this day, they remained legends.

Bill began racing up the stairs to get to the two of them. “When I get my hands on you.” But it was to late. Percy had shot a hex in their direction causing them to be suspended in mid-air, up-side down.
“Hey” They both yelled.

Percy stood at the bottom of the stairs, wand pointing directly at them. “When will you two learn? Crime doesn’t pay, but you two will.” He flicked his wand causing them to float pass Bill and right out the front door.

“What are you dong with us?” Fred demanded.

George tried reaching for his wand. “Let us down Percy!”

“Oh no, you have a lesson to learn. We’re going to have a little fun.” He had Bill remove their wands and continued to lead them to the front garden of the Burrow.

When Percy finished he stepped back securing his spell and lowered his wand. “What do you think Bill?”

Bill had lost his breath and tried hard to breath correctly again while still laughing hysterically. “And to think, I didn’t believe you had a sense of humor.”

There, in the largest tree in the front garden, Fred and George were posed and dressed like fairies. Percy had dressed them in tutu’s and leotards, topping it off with fairy lights.

“One can only remain civil for so long before they crack.”

“Okay Percy, we get it, let us down.” Fred pleaded.

“Now that wouldn’t be fun. We have to wait for Angelina. And George, Ginny has a cute little lady to meet you. We need to let her see what she’s in for, now don’t we?”

As Bill and Percy walked into the Burrow they could hear Fred and George yelling profane things at their older brothers.

*******

Hermione and Ginny sat at the kitchen table with Fleur discussing some arrangements for the wedding.

Mrs. Weasley raced about the room bewitching boiling pots and hexing dishes to the table. “Charlie will be here any minute with his new girlfriend.” Mrs. Weasley stated nervously. “I wonder where Fred and George are? Fred had said earlier that Angelina was to meet him here.”

“Yeah, she’s bringing George’s surprise date.” Ginny smirked.

“Oh, you found someone.” Mrs. Weasley looked thoroughly thrilled. She picked up a tea tray and headed for the lounge. “Let’s have tea while we wait. Ginny will you grab the tea cups dear?”

The three ladies gathered their things and cups and followed Mrs. Weasley.

Mr. Weasley sat in his armchair with Rose on his lap and a herd of boys at his feet as he went on about the house elves and their refusal to take holidays.

“Face it Dad, they just can’t adjust.” Ron went on.

“I think that it may take a generation or two, but they’ll eventually come around. “Bill had agreed with Hermione when it came to magical creatures. Nothing could be as bad ad working with the goblins at Gringott’s. They were about the foulest, greediest creatures alive. If they were free, then every intelligent creature should have the same opportunity.
Knock, Knock

The entire family looked in the direction of the front door. Ron walked over and flung it open. There in the door stood Angelina with a beautiful girl who looked vaguely familiar.

“Hi Ron,” Angelina smiled half heartedly, “Um, could someone help us? It seems that Fred and George are having some trouble in the front garden.”

Percy and Bill looked at one another trying to stifle the laughs that desperately needed to be released. Mrs. Weasley knew right away that her normally calm children had done something that normally would have been expected of Fred and George.

“What have you done?” She scurried to the door and passed Angelina and her friend. Everyone looked at one another and soon followed.

“Oh my, get them down now”

“Mum, they had it coming,” he said trying the defend himself like he was a child, “You should have seen the mess they made.”

Fleur glared at Bill. “I suppoz’ you had sumzin’ to do with thiz’?”

“You didn’t have to live with their practical jokes, honey.” Bill tried to explain.

Percy reluctantly let the twins down, but not before he hit them on every branch coming down.

Crack, Crack

There, appearing beside Fred and George was Charlie and a petite figured woman. Ron elbowed Harry. It was Cho Chang.

“Well?” Charlie looked confused at Fred and George’s attire. “I don’t think I want to know. Everyone, this is Cho.” Almost everyone knew Cho from school. Mr. And Mrs. Weasley had seen her during their trips to Hogwarts to watch Quidditch matches.

“Um, We’ll go change.” Fred and George raced into the Burrow and up the stairs.

*******

Fred and George were actually laughing when they came back down the stairs. They really couldn’t believe that Percy had it in him. The family sat around the room. It was really quite amazing how many people could fit in their once small house. Bill and Fleur sat side by side chatting with Percy and Penelope. Harry sat with Ginny talking with Charlie and Cho. Ginny was laughing while Cho told stories of the recent games. Ron and Hermione were huddled in the corner watching Rose setting the boys straight on something that they had obviously done wrong. Although P.J. (Percy Jacob) and Cash (Bill and Fleur’s oldest) were older than her, she found it her duty to keep them in line. The younger of the boys Hunter and Jaeger (The other twins; Percy and Penelope’s) and Buck (Bill and Fleur’s other one) didn’t seem to mind as much. They didn’t know any better. Percy and Penelope had yet another boy, but he was only a few months old, so he didn’t know much of anything yet. But this didn’t keep her from trying. Mr. And Mrs. Weasley were talking with Angelina and George’s date. The entire room noticed the two of them coming down the stairs and they stood and began to applaud. They had found it quite amusing. They took their bows and walked towards the women that await them. Fred kissed Angelina. Ginny raced to them wanting to be the one to make the proper introductions. George immediately set his sights on the red-head standing next to Angelina.

“George, this is Susan.” She looked to see if he noticed her yet. “She was in the same year as…” She didn’t get to finish.

“Ron, Harry, and Hermione.” George finished for her. “Hufflepuff, Right?”

“Yes” Susan looked excited that he had remembered her.

Susan Bones was the plain red head from Hufflepuff. She wasn’t accustomed to being noticed much, but she had always noticed George. She had secretly cheered for him during Quidditch matches. When she ran into Ginny at the Ministry she had never anticipated that Ginny was looking for someone to go with George. Things had a funny way of working themselves out.

“You…look different.” George was trying not to trip over his words. She had definitely changed. She had curves now that he had never noticed before. He had always been attracted to red heads, but there had never been much choice outside his family. The skin on her face was silky white and smooth with a few small freckles scattered along her nose.

“You haven’t,” she said, “still up to the same old tricks I hear…and see.”

“Well,” he stammered, “you can’t take life to seriously.”

Everyone had now dispersed, leaving them to talk alone. George took her arm and led her to the sofa, where they sat, quietly talking and laughing.

“You planning to go to see Chudley tomorrow?” George asked.

“Actually, Ginny did invite me to stay and accompany the family tomorrow.”
“I’d like that.” George felt his face heating up.

A/N How about it? Did they have it coming or what? All these years and they finally get a taste of their own medicine. And what about George and Susan. Not predictable but very believable. (I think) Thanks to all of you that have contacted me personally. Reviews are by far the thing that makes it all worht while. Thanks Again to you all.
Chudley Canons Forever by scarlet phoenix feathers
Chudley Canons Forever

The Burrow was a bustle the following morning with the excitement of the opening game. The Canons had been training hard and plating even harder in scrimmages. The season was in full swing and they were ready to win, or at least that is what Cho said. The Canons were being led by none other then Oliver Wood. Cho had let them all know that he was worse than he had been in school.

The Weasley’s all stood around the lounge. They were sporting orange jumpers, hats and scarves. Ron had even announced he was wearing Chudley Canon boxers.

“Ronald Weasley!” Mrs. Weasley gasped as she slapped his arm.

Mr. Weasley had arranged for a portkey to the pitch. “Okay everyone, I think it’s about time.” He gathered Rose in his arms and ushered them out to the front garden as other family members grabbed a child hand as well. Outside the front door was a very long log that allowed them all to fit comfortably around it. “Hold on now, it should be any second.” They quickly began being pulled and the space around them sped by quickly. They soon felt the ground beneath their feet again. Looking around in amazement Ron was the first to speak up. “Let’s get in, we don’t want to miss anything.”

They quickly walked to the reserved gate. “Oh Minister,” said a young gate attendant jumping to address the man. “Right this way, straight to the top.”

As they walked through the gate Cho stopped. “This is where I leave you all, wish me luck.” The whole clan said their goodbyes and good lucks.

“Cho” Charlie stepped closer to her. “Good Luck, see you later.” He kissed her and went to join his family.

“Thanks, Charlie” She winked and turned on her heel, racing to the locker room.

*******

Ron had absolutely lost his mind. The box that had been reserved for them was huge and stocked full of all the essentials. There were omnioculars for everyone, butterbeer beyond any mount they had ever seen before and enough sweets to last Ron a week or the normal wizard a year. The Chudley Canons logo was plastered on any surface that was available. They had even completely stocked the room with the latest designs of jumpers and cloaks sporting the giant double C’s. Ron quickly removed his old jumper and threw on one of the new designs. He picked up a cloak that had the illusion of a flying canon across the back. “Hermione, come here.” Ron motioned her to him. “Here try this on.” He handed her a white shirt that had the double C logo on both sleeves and the canon zooming across the front and pointed to the private bathroom in the corner. Soon Ron had the entire family changing into the new clothes and assured them that they all looked wonderful.

Hermione stepped from the bathroom with the t-shirt on and one of the cloaks slung across one shoulder. “What do you think?”

“WOW!” The twins had said without thinking. Susan was still new to all this commotion and didn’t say much. After Fred thought about his reaction he was very thankful that Angelina had decided to join the team for some behind the scenes excitement and she also hoped to get the job as team healer.

Ron didn’t notice that his brothers were gawking at his fiancéeé. “Hermione!?” The shirt was very form fitting. The hem just touched the waist of her jeans.

“So Ron, I guess I’m going to have to support the big C’s, huh?” He didn’t quite get the joke, but several others had. To her surprise this didn’t actually embarrass her. She now knew she could relax around the Weasley’s and not worry about what they would think.

“Looking like that, they might make you a mascot.” Bill felt a sharp elbow in his rib. Fleur hadn’t liked the comment.

Hermione couldn’t help but feel a bit of pride. Fleur was jealous of her, plain old Hermione.

“And here they ladies and gentlemen, you’re Chudley Canons.” the voice reverberated throughout the room. The crowd began to scream.

Hermione walked past Ron. “Come on, let’s get a better look.” She took his arm and pulled him to the front row seats in their box, within seconds she and Ron were hanging over the rail and screaming for Cho and Oliver. Harry and Ginny soon joined them. Before long the entire Weasley gang was out of control. Chudley had managed two goals and had successfully kept the Wigtown Wanderers from scoring. They had Oliver Wood, they really didn’t expect many to get through. Cho hung high above the pitch watching closely for any sign of shimmering gold. The seeker for Wigtown hovered close by, but looked as though he didn’t really know what he was doing up there. Cho quickly began to dive then shot straight back up. They didn’t know what she was doing, but she sure was confusing the opposing teams seeker. Then she shot to the left and sped directly towards Oliver at the post. There, between two of the post flew the snitch. They could see Oliver mouthing something at her, obviously urging her on.

“Get it CHO!” Hermione screamed above them all.

Ron looked taken aback. She was really getting into this. He couldn’t believe he was thinking this right now, but he would have given anything to have her alone right now. Her found enthusiasm for Quidditch and that shirt nearly made him forget the game until she slapped his back with excitement. “She got it Ron!” Hermione bellowed. He missed it. He really missed it. All because of that stupid shirt. He smiled. All because of that stupid, LOVELY shirt.

Fred and George pulled out a large bag of fireworks much like the ones they had released on their last day of Hogwarts. Only when they released these, they sprayed orange fire all over the pitch and canons began zooming from them. The Canons loosing streak was over. Ron liked to believe it had something to do with Hermione’s attitude and that shirt. She could have easily distracted the other teams players from the box. It surely distracted him.

It hadn’t seemed so, but the game lasted nearly four hours. Children were still running about and screaming, all except for Rose. She had found herself a comfortable chair and curled up for a nap. Ron lifted her and carried her down to the pitch. The others decided to follow the team to the pub nearby for a quick party. They said that they would be able floo home and for them to take the portkey back with Rose. They went on pass the pitch and made their way to the log. As they approached the log they could still hear the echoes of the fans chanting . “Chudley, Chudley, Chudley!” Ron and Hermione held onto the log and soon found themselves back at the Burrow.

*******

Charlie ran across the pitch. “Cho, you did it!” He grabbed her around the waste and swung her. Mr.Weasley walked around congratulating the other players, while Mrs. Weasley walked calmly behind with Susan and Fleur herding the children.

“Come on Oliver, come on back to the Burrow instead. We’ll have a celebration there.” Fred yelled above the screams of the fans.

“Thanks, I could go from a bit of peace and quite.” He screamed back.

Soon after Cho and Oliver came from the locker room with Angelina, who had made sure everyone had come through unscathed. They found a fireplace and headed back to the Burrow.

As the adults carrying children stepped from the fireplace and those who apparated walked through the front door they lowered their voices. There on the sofa, Ron and Hermione lay with Rose on Ron’s chest and all of them sleeping.

“So, Angelina.” Oliver whispered. “You really interested in the job as team healer?”

“Absolutely!” She gasped.

“Do you think you could get these two gits to bring the fireworks to every game? It makes for great celebrations.”

“We’ll see what we can do.”

Ron opened his eyes. “Oliver!” He nearly threw Hermione off the sofa and Rose with her.

“Ron! Good to see you aren’t loosing any sleep.” Oliver joked.

“With all the excitement I needed a rest.” He said as he stood upright.

“I can see why.” He said as he glanced at Hermione’s attire.

“Oh shut up Oliver!”

Hermione had now gotten to her feet and took Rose to lay her upstairs.

Oliver focused his attention back on the crowd in the lounge. “Harry said you guys have made Aurors.” He looked truly impressed.

Ron shoved his hands into his pockets. “Well, yeah.”

Harry and Ginny soon walked in the front sharing one of the Chudley Canons cloaks from the top box.

“Decided to join us, Hey Potter?” Oliver smirked.

“Yeah sorry Wood, she’s a might better to look at than you. You aren’t to try it. When are you going to give something other than Quidditch a little attention?”

They picked up right where they left off before, taking cheap shots at one another. They laughed and shook hands.

“Good to see you.” Oliver smiled. “I see you finally slowed down long enough to let her catch you.”

“Are you kidding? Have you seen her on a broom?” He laughed. “Fearless. She isn’t afraid to get downright dirty when she plays.” he was remembering the broke leg and noticed the looks. “On the pitch.” he added quickly.

“Yeah, and you better steer clear, she’ll have you dating someone before you know it.” George quickly said looking at Susan smiling.

They sat around all evening exchanging stories and laughing. Mrs. Weasley had brought out trays of sandwiches and sweets. She soon realized at the rate things were going her house would be full of even more grandchildren.

A/N What about Hermione and that "shirt"? Maybe a bit out of character for her but I said 'what the hey'. She needed to loosen up a bit and what a perfecct way for her to do so. LOL Let me know what you think. Thanks to all the reviewers thus far and I hope to hear from you all soon.

It had been several weeks since the Chudley Canons mach and things were more normal than ever for Harry. Ron continually harassed Hermione to wear the double C shirt. Hermione only agreed to wear it to future matches. Ginny had even picked herself up one as well, although Ron didn’t think she should wear it. Harry disagreed.

“And just why is it okay for me to wear it and not her?” Hermione questioned.

“She’s my sister for Merlin’s sake, she doesn’t need to be prancing around in that.” The minute he finished that sentence he knew he was about to be clobbered.

“What!? Because I’m not your sister I can wear that shirt. What are you saying Ron, huh! Ronald Weasley are you saying that I look like a tart? Am I not as good as Ginny.” She continued to scream, then became very sarcastic. “I’m just a muggle born right? It’s okay if I look like a tramp. Is that it? I am not believing you. If that’s how you feel about it then you can wear the stupid thing and support your own sticking team!” She threw the shirt at him and turned to run from the room.

“Hermione, I’m sorry…Please!!!” He ran after her.

Hermione ran as fast as her legs would carry her. She followed the dirt path that led into the village. She had to get away from that two faced ogre. She began to slow down and broke down crying. But that two faced ogre was all she had. Was she over reacting? She soon came to the lake and stopped. She sat on a rock near the water and cried. She then realized why she was so upset.

“Hermione, please, I’m sorry.” Ron ran to her side and collapsed at her feet. “I don’t think any of those things about you. You have to understand.”

“I do.” She said calmly.

Ron continued to plea with her when he stopped. “You do?” He was now confused yet again. He tilted his head and cocked one eyebrow . “What?”

“I said I do.” Her eyes were swelling with the tears that lie on them. “I’m jealous.”

“Of what?” Ron had a blank look come across his face.

“You’re family.” She looked him square in the eyes. “ I have no one to stand up for me the way you all do for Ginny. My parents were all I had.”

Hermione often lost Ron in conversations and frequently spoke in circles and far as he was concerned, but this was ludicrous. “Hermione they’re your family too. You very well know that any one of my brothers would be there to stand up for you. Hell Hermione, they would beat me into the dirt if I ever hurt you. You are one of us.”

“Ron, Do you think that my family would have gawked at me the way you all did when I wore that shirt. NO!” She answered herself. “They would have thrown a fit just like you did with Ginny.” She stood up and stepped past him and walked to the waters edge. She stood there watching the water ripple as fish surfaced to pluck floating insects from the waters top. She couldn’t look at him. “I hear what other girls say around the Ministry when I’m there. I hear the whispers. I’m a spoiled muggleborn that doesn’t deserve the Ministers son.” She then let it all go. She poured her concerns out for him to hear. “Can you imagine what they will say when everyone finds out that Rose is ours?” She couldn’t move. She felt the crisp autumn air blowing her hair and it caused her to shiver.

“Stop it!” he yelled, “Stop talking that way. You have done more for our world than any of them would come close to even imagining, and who cares who cares what they say about us having Rose. You did it for them. You could have called me home. We could have gotten married immediately, but you sacrificed your “perfect” reputation to allow me to be able to protect them. If they can’t see that for themselves then I personally give up on the whole wizarding race. The only thing that matters to me is my family, you and that little girl that we have been blessed with having. And if they can’t accept all that then to hell with them all.” He was furious at the idea of anyone disgracing Hermione in any way. He would be damned if anyone spoke ill of her. The girl who had always accepted him for who he was not who his Dad was. She was there when no one else was.

“Ron, you know what things like that can do to children when people talk.”

“Hermione, you are the smartest witch I know, but right now you’re not thinking. Come on really. You know as well as I do that if my Dad weren’t Minister they wouldn’t they wouldn’t give an owls hoot. If my best friend wasn’t Harry Potter they wouldn’t care. Hell, they would chase after the giant squid if his dad where the Minister.” He left it at that. He put his arms around her waist and looked out onto the lake with her.

“How did you get so smart?” She asked him as she laid her head back against his chest.

“It’s all from the company I keep.” He kissed her temple and squeezed her to him.

She turned in his arms facing him. She stretched up to him while he bent to her and kissed him. “What did I do to deserve you?”

“I could ask you the same question. Let’s go home.”

They both turned and walked leisurely back to the Burrow.

*******

When they arrives at the front gate they could hear screams and yells coming from the Burrow. They looked at one another and dashed into the garden. Ron flung open the door allowing Hermione to walk in first. There in the lounge stood Fred, Angelina, George, and Susan all looking horror struck as Mrs. Weasley went on so load and fast that her words couldn’t exactly be made out. Harry and Ginny walked in from the kitchen obviously not having a clue either.

Fred finally tried to calm his mother. “Mum, please if you will just listen.”

Mrs. Weasley had stopped yelling but she continued to look at them crossly. She took in a deep breath. “What…do…you…mean…you…all…GOT MARRIED!!!??”

Ron and Hermione’s mouths both dropped as did Harry and Ginny’s.

“Mum, really please stop.” George tried as well to calm his mother. “Things just happened so fast. We took the girls on a short holiday to the U.S. A place called Las Vegas. Quite an exciting place.”

“I’m sure it is!” She said rather sarcastically. No matter how hard she tried she couldn’t keep her voice down. She could feel the blood pumping fast and her hands were beginning to shake.

Fred again spoke relieving his brother. “They had these all night wedding chapels with bright lights and costumes.”

“All night chapels. I ask you how appropriate is that?” She had lowered her voice a bit, but was talking through clenched teeth.

Angelina and Susan had failed to say a word. They actually looked terrified. Mrs. Weasley soon noticed and began to feel terrible for scaring them so. “I don’t blame you two, my sons can be STUPID gits sometimes. Probably talked you into it. They have always been the type that liked to pull a good one every once in awhile.”

Angelina and Susan had not actually been duped into this in any way. They both were ecstatic when Fred and George suggested it. Angelina and Fred had known each other so long that it was just a matter of time anyway. George and Susan had been conjoined at the hip since that day at the Burrow. Susan said she had always a good judge of character. She also said that her Mum and Dad had only known each other two weeks before they got married, and they’ve been happily married for 30 years. They had taken the news a lot better then Mrs. Weasley.

Crack!

Mr. Weasley apparated into the room and smiled at his family.

“Arthur! You will not….” She didn’t get to finish her sentence.

“I know dear.” He threw down the evening edition of the Daily Prophet. The headlines across the front page read:

Weasley Twins Get “Hitched” in U.S.

“Wow!” Fred grabbed the paper amazed at the picture that accompanied the story. It was taken at the chapel and Angelina, Susan, George and himself were all waving while standing next to a men dressed in white robes covered in Rhinestones and holding a guitar.

“Oh, for pixie’s sake.” Mrs. Weasley looked truly appalled.

Susan finally decided to speak. “Mrs.Weasley, I’m sorry that we have disappointed you so much. If you are going to made at someone it should be me. I asked George to visit family with me in the U.S. and Fred and Angelina came along. It all happened so quickly, but I want you to know that I truly love your son. I have every intention of taking care of him and making him happy. Many find him hard to understand sometimes and fault him for things he may do. However, these very faults are what attracts me to him. He’s so wild and I’m so calm. The way I figure it we will balance each other out.” You could see a tear forming in the corner of her eye. George put his arm around her and leaned into her ear.

“Don’t cry love, it’ll be okay. I love you.” He whispered, but everyone could still hear.

Mrs. Weasley’s eyes softened, she was good for her son. She had no reason to be upset with them all. She then begin to release the grip she had on her apron. “Oh, Susan I am so sorry. I should have known a leveled headed girl like yourself would have thought of everything. I’m just sorry I wasn’t there with you.” She walked to her hugging and taking George with her free arm.

“What about us?” Fred looked hurt at being left out.

“Oh Angelina,” She took the other couple into her arms. “You know I’ve always loved you.”

“Well, maybe these girls will be good for these two.” Mr. Weasley smiled at the brood before him.

Soon the entire room erupted into laughs and chattering about the recent event.

“Hey Mum, you may have more children than you can handle soon.” Fred laughed.

Angelina punched his arm causing him to recoil a bit. “What, do you plan on carrying them, it may be a awhile for me.”

“There you go Angelina, keep him straight.” Mr. Weasley looked quite pleased with his new daughter-in-law.

A/N Ron just can't win, can he? He is going to have to learn to think before speaking. I know, Fred and George married? I like everyone to have someone. And who else to have disappear to Vegas. Only them. Thanks to all of the readers and reviewers for being so supportive. I really appreciate it.
Memories of Old by scarlet phoenix feathers
Memories of Old

At breakfast the next morning things were quite loud. Fred, George, Bill, and Charlie were all bickering over who was going to do what with the house. They had all been diligently working since Ron and Harry returned, but today they seemed a bit to excited about it.

“You know Mum.” Bill managed above all the other voices. “We should be finished by next Saturday.”

Ron and Harry had not been permitted anywhere near the construction. Hermione and Ginny were very excited and to everyone’s surprise had even been caught trying to sneak in for a quick peek. They finally decided to give Lavender that exclusive interview she had hinted at in an earlier article. During the trip to Diagon Alley after the interview this morning they would pick up invitations to be addressed. The owl post office had better be ready for the excessive amounts of mail that would need to be delivered very soon. In exactly three weeks the wedding would take place.

Ron and Harry really tried to find reasons to stay. “Mum, doesn’t the garden need de-gnoming or something?”

“No dear, you go on. It’ll be fun.” She continued cleaning up the mess left by the overgrown children fighting at her table.

“What? Harry James Potter!” Ginny snapped as she and Hermione walked around the table. “Don’t you want to the afternoon getting ready for the most important day of your life?”

Harry tried desperately to control his stuttering. “Uh…Yes…dear.”

Ron tried to help his sinking friend. “We just thought Mum might need some help.”

“Don’t give me that rubbish!” Hermione now joined in on the interrogation. “Since when have you ever been interested in volunteering to do the de-gnoming?”

“Well.” He had no answer.

“We’re going shopping, and you will like it!” She took his hand and all but ripped his arm out of the socket.

His eyes were the size of galleons; Fred and George were now trying to keep from falling to the floor with fits of laughter.

“Harry?” Ginny stood with her arms crossed patting her foot. “Well?”

He looked at her and made a mad dash to catch up with Ron and Hermione.

“Look! Fred yelled, “The two powerful Aurors with their tails between their legs.”

“SHUT UP!” Hermione and Ginny yelled in unison from the other room.

Fred’s eyes now looked much like Ron’s had just looked. He quickly shut his mouth and sat in his chair. Not daring to press his luck.

*******

“Well, that wasn’t so bad, now was it?” Hermione smiled taking Ron’s arm as they came out of the Daily Prophet.

“Almost as nice as having a tooth pulled.” Ron said sarcastically.

“Only we didn’t have the novocaine.” Harry added.

“Come on.” Ginny tried making it better. “You have to admit she wasn’t nearly as bad as she was in school.”

“On NO, now she’s just a neurotic gossip columnist.” Ron chortled. “That doesn’t get detentions or looses points when she misinterprets the truth.”

“Misinterpret?” Hermione had to laugh at his obvious disgruntled ness. “Well, just think…” she began glancing into the window of Flourish and Blotts. “Oh My Word!!” She stopped dead and jumped behind a stack of sale books outside the door. “Look.” She whispered.

“What?!?” Ron all but yelled.

Hermione grabbed his collar and yanked him beside her choking him in the process. “Do you have to be so loud? A mountain troll is quieter than you are, honestly.” She had pointed in through the large picture window of the store.

The others looked into the shop and a tall slender man with white blonde hair and crooked nose stood behind the counter unpacking boxes.

“Malfoy” Ron all but growled like a rabid dog at the sight of him.

“What’s he doing in there?” Harry said astonished.

“He can’t be working here, can he?” Ginny asked.

“Bloody Hell!” Ron was now laughing maliciously. Normally he wouldn’t find anyone’s profession funny; however this was a special case. “I think I need a book.”

“Ron, No!” Hermione grabbed for his arm.

“Oh yeah, you don’t know how long I’ve waited for this.”

Harry soon grasped his other arm. “She’s right, don’t Ron”

“What?” Ron was amazed at their compassion.

“Really, you would only be stooping to his level.” Harry tried reasoning with Ron. “You’re an Auror now. Are you willing to be less dignified for him?”

“I guess not.” He thought a bit longer. “I promise I won’t start anything. BUT-- I’m still going in. Just to prove I’m the better man.”

They both loosened their grips. He took Hermione’s hand. Harry took Ginny’s and they all walked in together.

Malfoy now had his back turned to the door. A bell rang as they walked into the shop.

“Be right with you.” He said in a polite voice.

They were all shocked at the sound of civil tongue coming from Malfoy’s mouth. A she turned the look of shock was plastered all over his face. He quickly regained his composure and walked from behind the counter.

“Hello, welcome to Flourish and Blott’s.” He politely said.

“Malfoy?” Ron said quizzically.

“Oh yes, glad to have you in our little shop.” He calmly replied looking behind Ron. “Miss Granger, how lovely, I have a great new selection of books on magical creatures.” The group remained speechless. No one knew what to say. Then Ron did it.

“Okay, who are you and where’s the stash of polyjuice potion?” Ron was now searching for something that could contain the potion.

“Weasley, it’s me.” Malfoy wasn’t as pleasant sounding now. Although he still didn’t have the usual nasty drawl in his voice.

Ginny stepped forward. Harry followed close behind. “Draco?” Not one of them had ever called him by his first name.

“I know, a bit sad, aren’t I?” He turned and walked back to the counter. “Go ahead; I deserve anything that you throw at me.” He looked drained. As though all the spirit had just been lifted right out of him.

“We didn’t come in here to start anything.” Hermione said glaring at Ron and trying to sound sincere.

Harry then knew exactly how he must feel. He didn’t have a friend in the world.

“After all the things I have done?” He questioned her.

Harry was the one to answer. “Yeah.”

Draco choked a bit. “I’m…sorry for everything I’ve ever done.” He almost laughed. “I’ve been doing a lot of apologizing lately.”

Ron still wasn’t buying the act. “Why such a change of heart, Malfoy?” He then felt Hermione’s elbow dig into his ribs.

“Ow!” Ron squealed.

“No Hermione, he’s right. You of all people deserve an explanation.” And he then began.

“When Dad went to Azkaban, Mum and I were left alone. The Ministry confiscated all our possessions to pay for all the damage my dad had done as a death eater. It took them awhile, but they managed to get to all of Dad’s accounts. All, but one. He had set up a fund for me to travel and study abroad.” He stopped and actually had to laugh at that statement. He was sure studying abroad had meant, working for Voldemort. “When Mum went to him and asked him what she was to do he just laughed at her.” He looked at each of them and fought hard not choke up. “He bloody laughed at her. It was then that I realized what he was…nothing. I didn’t want to end up like him. So, I took what money I did have a put it into this place. We live upstairs in the attached flat.” He turned his back. “I don’t expect you to ever forgive me, but please don’t take what little business we do have and scare it away. We need it.” From behind the curtains a woman walked out looking to be about 20 years old and 9 months pregnant.

“Hi!” She all but shouted. “Great to have you here. Business has been a bit slow, but I’m sure we can make you a deal.” She smiled sweetly. The young woman spoke with an accent that none of them had ever heard. She spoke very slowly and the drawl in her voice was very thick. She had long waist length, blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She had a large smile that beamed. This lady looked very out of place next the famously rude Draco Malfoy.

“Daisy” Malfoy addressed her. “These are some people that attended Hogwarts with me.”

“Oh, how wonderful, school pals. Let me get you all some tea.” She quickly vanished behind the curtain not waiting for a reply.

Hermione quickly began shuffling through the shelves of books taking random selections from the shelves. She would drop a load and head back to continue her search. Ginny soon followed suit taking anything that pertained to Quidditch. Ron still didn’t trust him, but he didn’t stop them either.

“Here we are!” Daisy soon reappeared from behind the curtain and sat the try down gently on one of the tables that had been crammed into the shop.

“Honey, I don’t think they are interested or have the time, they seem pretty busy.” Draco said softly to her not wanting to offend her effort.

“Sure we do.” Harry quickly answered for the group.

“Splendid!” She clapped her hands together. “I really hope this is fine. I haven’t quite gotten to technique down just yet.”

“Daisy’s from the U.S. They prepare tea differently than we do, they like it iced.” Draco added not wanting them to think she was a complete idiot.

She fumbled with the tea almost as though she hadn’t ever made anything in her life. They noticed her shaking hands and the nervous smile as she presented each of them with a cup. After the tea was finished they stood, Hermione made her way to the counter to pay for the books she and Ginny chose.

“You don’t have to get all of these, really.” Draco said before adding the purchases.

“Don’t be silly we need these for references. Do you take Gringott’s Wizard Charge?” She thrust the card at him.

“Yes ma’am we do.” He smiled a bit.

“And we’ll be speaking with the other departments at the Ministry to ensure that all their reference materials are up to date.” She held out her hand taking the card and placing it in her purse. She signed the slip and handed it back to him. “You will advise me when the new editions come in, won’t you?”

“Of course.” Draco replied. “And thank you.” He whispered.

“Ron, Harry, will you help with the bags?” Hermione turned to them raising her eyebrow.

“Oh,” Draco said, “Congratulations on the upcoming weddings. We’ve been married a year.” He pulled Daisy close to his side. “She’s having twins.” He smiled and kissed her.

“We have a 4 year old.” Ron quickly said trying to one up him. “Her name his Rose.”

Hermione blushed and pulled him out the door.

Harry and Ginny, holding back a laugh, waved at Draco and Daisy and followed them out.

Harry couldn’t explain it, but no matter what Draco had done he actually felt sympathy for him. All those years in school could have been an act just for his father. Children were the images of their parents, but it doesn’t mean they can’t be good. Really, look at who raised him and he couldn’t more unlike them. Maybe Draco Malfoy had just now learned what kind of person he really was supposed to be.

“What was all that about?” Hermione questioned Ron.

“What? Is it a secret? I want people to know I have a daughter. I’m proud of her.” He pulled Hermione close to him, kissing her forehead.

She smiled at how proud she was of him. He held his tongue and was bragging about his daughter. He never ceased to amaze her.

A/N I know, Malfoy...nice? Hey, I got tired of the scouring looks and the hateful remarks. Besides, people do change. Okay, I know, it's not likely, but I like the thought. LOL Don't hate me. Thank you very much to those of you who have continued to reivew. I really appreciate it.

It’s All In Good Fun

Things had become quite exciting. The snow had been falling for days and the plans were coming together. The wedding would take place on Saturday; however the wedding party would arrive on Thursday to ensure things were in order. They would be able to enjoy being at their old school and relax like they did years ago. Mrs. Weasley bustled around the Burrow stacking things here and piling things there so they could be transported to Hogwarts. The entire Weasley family would be staying at the Burrow tonight and helping get things moved to the wedding location in the morning. Harry and Ron walked in from the back garden, brooms in hand, dressed in their old Quidditch robes. Both on their faces were bright red from the cold air.

Bill walked in from the front. “Okay, we have just put the finishing touches on the place.” He noticed the two red faced gits. “Hey, how about some real competition?”

“Anytime big brother, we’ll spank the pants off you.” He smiled and slapped Harry’s back.

“Oh, is that right? Okay, we’ll call in Charlie and the twins.” He laughed still not believing his baby brother would be married in three days. Better yet, his baby sister was marrying the nut next to his baby brother. Charlie and the twins all came in laughing loudly at some prank that Fred had pulled on Percy. Bill filled in on the match.

*******

Ginny and Hermione were going over things to make sure everything was packed that they needed. They then heard the commotion going on downstairs. To the average person one might think that it was the sound of 100 Weasleys, but it was actually far less.

“Let’s see what’s going on.” Ginny jumped from the bed, throwing down her list and Hermione followed close behind her.

The girls came down the stairs to see the lot arguing over nothing more than Quidditch. To Hermione’s surprise Ginny had joined in the battle.

“Bill, just get your robes and broom and prove it.” Ron finally spat. Trying hard to agitate his eldest brother even more.

“Oh, you’ll rue the day little Ronnie.” Bill raced up the stairs three at a time and Charlie and the twins followed to get their things as well.

“What is going on?” Hermione said jumping out of the way to avoid bodily harm from the streaks of red that flew past her.

“Your fiancé is about to get clobbered, that’s all.” Fred said as he zoomed by.

“He wishes.” Ron called to Fred. He then looked at Hermione. “They think they can beat me and Harry. “Hmp…How crazy is that?”

“Well, can’t they?” She said crossing her arms. “There are four of them.”

“You don’t understand, we get George for beater. Fred is theirs, Charlie is seeker for them and Bill and I both play keeper and chaser. Simple, see?” He looked at her like it was obvious.

She didn’t know about that, but she shook her head. “Okay, we’ll watch” She looked at Ginny. “Just don’t get yourself hurt.” She said turning her attention back to Ron. “I sure would hate to have to bewitch you to float down the aisle if you get yourself mangled. Wouldn’t that make for a great wedding photo?”

“Yes dear.” He hung his head low mocking her.

“I’m serious Ronald.” She tried very hard not to crack a smile at him looking at her like a small child being scolded.

“That goes for you to Harry. I love a good game of Quidditch as much as the next witch, but if you get hurt, I’ll kill you.”

Although Ginny scolded Harry she would have loved more than anything to be in the air with them, BUT considering she just recently plummeted to the ground they wouldn’t let her on a broom for awhile. She still had pains that shot from her knee to her baby toe on occasion.

Harry’s eyes widened. “I haven’t opened my mouth. This crackpot here got me into this mess.” He pointed to Ron.

Ginny turned to Ron. “Okay, I’ll kill you.”

“Oh, you’ll have to wait in line.” Hermione added.

Poor Ron was now beginning to rethink this whole game idea. His brothers could be rough and he had no intentions of going toe to toe with two future brides. They were out for blood. Maybe he should get them to play. He laughed to himself.

“Awwww, look guys.” The other Weasleys appeared at the foot of the staircase. “Ronnie and Harry are in trouble. They can’t play.”

Albeit Hermione was more than a foot shorter than Bill she marched over to him. Fred and George darted out of her way. They had made it a point to not mess with her. She was one girl that could do some serious damage if given the chance. She stepped up the stairs so that she was now eye level with him. She reached out her hand and grabbed his collar and pulled him to her so that they were nearly nose to nose. “Bill Weasley” She began through clenched teeth. “Should any of you harm one hair on that man’s head before Saturday, I personally will see to it that you will never be able to please Fleur again, if you catch my drift. Do I make myself clear!!!?” She released his collar and brushed away the wrinkles and non-chalantly walked back to Ron’s side taking his arm.

Bill’s eyes were as wide as galleons and looked shocked beyond imagination. “Maybe…” He stopped to choose his words carefully. “We should postpone the match till a later date.” He managed to say without stuttering.

The others all shook their heads violently, agreeing. Ginny had a smile that went from one ear to the other. She had never seen her brothers so terrified by someone other than their mother.

“Oh No.” Hermione said calmly. “You will play a fair game of Quidditch and I will be there to watch Ron whip your bums.” Hermione felt Ron straighten up a bit and noticed his chest begin to swell. She just prayed he COULD whip them.

Hermione and Ginny put on their cloaks, scarves, and gloves. They might be out there awhile. As they headed for the back door. Ron ran ahead and opened the door for her, and he swore he heard her whisper, “You better kick their butts, don’t make me jinx him.” He smiled and put his arm around her waist and led her to the field they used for a Quidditch pitch.

*******

Bill and Charlie had been able to sneak in a couple of cheap shots when Hermione wasn’t looking. Fred and George were finding quite humorous. I didn’t matter what Ron tried to do to get the quaffle Bill had always managed to get it back and rather roughly for that matter. At one point Ron was hanging on by one hand with his leg on at the knee.
When he had finally managed to remount correctly Fred had bashed the one bludger they were using right in his direction. Bill had made two goals during this time.

They were in the air for what seemed to be an hour and Ginny and Hermione were nearly frozen to the patch of weeds that they were sitting on. “Do you see the snitch?” Hermione squinted as she asked Ginny.

“No, but you know how good Harry is at seeing that thing. Charlie never was much of a seeker.” She added the last bit to try and reassure Hermione that she wouldn’t have to eat her words. About that time they saw Harry bolt across the field and fly down soon thereafter and land near them. Ron followed nearly knocking him down in a bear hug. The rest flew to the ground around them throwing down their brooms and racing to congratulate them. The four older Weasleys picked them up and began carrying them towards the house.

Hermione was shocked. “They are being splendid sports, aren’t they?”

“I think you have them all scared.” Ginny laughed.

The girls picked up the brooms and followed them to the house. As they entered the back yard they noticed them not turning in the direction of the house, but the garden instead. Now Ron and Harry were desperately fighting to get loose. Hermione and Ginny dropped the brooms and sprinted to catch up, but it was to late. They had thrown Ron and Harry headfirst into the pond and then turned tail and ran for it. Hermione went for her wand, but dropped it and when she finally was able to retrieve it they were inside the house. She cursed under her breathe.

“I can’t believe them.” Hermione screamed as they came to the pond’s edge.

Ron soon surfaced with Harry in tow. Harry wasn’t a great swimmer to begin with and the weight of his robes had only added to the problem.

Ginny screamed, “Harry…Oh my dragons…Harry.” She looked at Ron’s eyes. “Is he okay?”

“I think so.” Ron choked pulling him out of the water.

“I’m fine.” He spit a bit of water out. “Just swallowed some water.”

Ginny put her arms around him and helped him to the house. Hermione grabbed Ron and helped him to his feet. “Oh, they have had it now!” Ron held back the smile that he felt fighting its way out. Someone else was on the receiving end of her anger for once. When they came to the door Mrs. Weasley had opened it to let them in. She had overheard her eldest sons carrying on about the prank.

“Mum, look at what they did to Harry.” Ginny nearly crying, helped him into the house. “He could have drowned had Ron not gotten to him. He has trouble swimming you know.” Both Ron and Harry were shivering.

Mrs. Weasley stomped into the lounge while the girls used their wands to dry them off in layers.

“BILL, CHARLIE, FRED, GEORGE WEASLEY, YOU HAVE ALL OF FIVE SECONDS TO GET DOWN HERE OR YOU WILL WISH HERMIONE HAD GOTTEN TO YOU FIRST!”

Hermione and Ginny had brought Ron and Harry to the overstuffed arm chairs by the fire to try and warm them up. It didn’t take long for all four to come down with looks on their faces as if nothing at all had happened.

Mrs. Weasley looked like she could have hexed them all. “Would you please explain to me why four grown men felt it necessary to throw a brother and future brother in law into the pond?”

The youngest three of the four turned to Bill. “Come on, Mum. It was a joke. You know, last bit of fun before they go off and get married.” He fought off the urge to laugh as did the others.

“Well, let’s not spoil your fun, although you could have ruined theirs.” She pointed at the other group of four sitting near the fire.

“I’m sorry.” He noticed Ginny in tears. He felt like an idiot. He walked over to his little sister and hugged her. She pulled away and flung her fist square between his eyes. She took Harry’s hand and led him to the stairs. She turned back to Bill. “I hope it hurts!! When are you going to grow up?” She blamed Bill, he was the leader. She left the room with Harry in tow.

Bill turned to Hermione and Ron. “I really am sorry.” He bowed his head and went upstairs to his temporary room wondering what Fleur would say when she found out. She always thought he played around to much anyway.

Mrs. Weasley looked at the others and they exited the room quickly wanting to bypass the same looks their older brother had just received. “Hermione, you best be getting him upstairs and warmed up. I’ll bring your suppers up and you can eat them in your room.”

“Thank you.” Hermione hugged the woman and coaxed Ron upstairs.

Mr. Weasley had gotten home with Ross soon thereafter. He had let her go with him today so everyone else could get things ready for the wedding. “Well, I’m ready to work on nothing but weddings. I’m yours till Monday.” Mr. Weasley said kissing his wife. He then noticed the two trays she was preparing for the two couples upstairs. “What’s this all about?”

“Well, your sons, excluding Percy, thought it would be fun to throw Ron and Harry into a half frozen pond. So, they are upstairs in bed and I told the girls I would bring up some food for them. You know they are lucky Hermione and Ginny didn’t kill them all. Although Ginny may have broken Bill’s nose.”

Mr. Weasley didn’t say a word. He stood there listening to his wife and wondered why his sons had to make life so difficult sometimes.

Mrs. Weasley followed the floating trays up the stairs and first stopped at Ginny and Harry’s room. She knocked. “It’s Mum, I have some food.” The door came open and Ginny took the tray and thanked her.

“And Mum,” she said, “I’m not sorry I hit Bill, I just wish you didn’t have to see it.”

“That’s okay dear; he had it coming to him. Eat up and I’ll see you in the morning.” She looked over her and looked at Harry already in bed. “Hope you feel okay.” He shook his head smiling broadly at the woman.

Mrs. Weasley then came to Ron and Hermione’s door. She tapped on the wooden panel and remembered back to when the boys were younger and always having spats of this sort, but now they were grown. She tried to keep from tearing up and she heard footsteps nearing the other side.

Hermione opened the door and walked back near Ron as Mrs. Weasley steered the tray their way. Ron tried jumping from the bed to get to the tray when Hermione intervened shoving back onto the bed. “Come on, I only fell in the pond not off my broom. I’m fine.”

Hermione ignored him and addressed Mrs. Weasley. “I’m sorry this went this far. I should have stopped it before it went to far.”

“Now dear, don’t you worry on it one bit. These boys would have done this with or without the game. They have grown up pulling these pranks on one another. Even if you had been able to jinx them they would have done it eventually. Just take care of my baby and make him keep warm.”

“And you take care of mine.” She knew Mrs. Weasley would see to it that Rose had eaten and put to bed properly.

“Mum,” Ron said through a full mouth of food. “Just make her stop by to tell us good night.”

“Yes, Daddy.” Mrs. Weasley smiled shutting the door behind her.

Ron still couldn’t get use to being called Daddy. “You want some?” He asked Hermione.

“No, you go ahead.” She thought she wouldn’t dare come between him and his food. “Do you think I’m to pushy?”

Ron nearly choked at the question. “What?” He didn’t know how to answer that question. “Well, that’s just you. You’re the level headed one that keeps everyone in line.”

“You make me sound like Percy.” This concerned her. She liked Percy, but she often thought he was to uptight.

“Oh no, not Percy. Do you think I could stand being around you all the time if you were like Percy?” He rolled his eyes looking disgusted.

She chuckled at him and thought maybe he was right. Percy could be a bit nauseating.

They both looked at the door when they heard a tiny little knock coming from the bottom half of the door. “Come in.” They both chimed together.

Rose opened the door and ran for the bad jumping. “I come to say goodnight. Grandma said hurry and she would read me a story.”

“Tell her you want to hear ’Sigmund the lonely Dragon’ it was m favorite.” Ron kissed her cheek.

“I know, Grandma told me. And it’s my favorite too.” She smiled. “Daddy, why are you fighting with Uncle Bill?”

“Well, were not really fighting. We’re just doing what brothers do. You’ll find out one day when you have brothers and sisters.”

“Okay” This seemed to satisfy her. She leaned over to Hermione. “Goodnight Mummy.” And kissed her.

Ron watched her pounced from the bed and skip to the door. “Daddy, how long do I have to wait?”

He was confused. “Wait for what?”

“A brother or sister.” She said

“Um, well, I don’t know.” He said slowly. “Goodnight Rose.”

“Goodnight again Daddy.” She turned and shut the door behind her.

*******

“Harry, you really should eat.” Ginny tried persuading him to take some of the soup like a mother would a child.

“Not now Ginny.”

“What is the matter with you?” She was beginning to lose her temper.

“All of that tonight. I looked like a child who couldn’t defend himself.” He knew he shouldn’t be angry with Ginny, but he was angry with himself and he had to yell.

“Harry, these guys have been going at it as long as I can remember and even before then. This is nothing new. The only difference now is you have been factored into it. That was just an initiation.”

“Oh great, what fun. Guess I need to learn to swim better.” He now laughed.

“Yeah, it might help.” She flung herself beside him. “You ready to eat now?”

“Nope!”

“And now why not?” She exclaimed.

He took her and rolled over so he was looking down at her face.

“Why, Harry Potter what are you doing?”

“Oh, Ginny Weasley, you know full well what I’m doing.” He leaned down kissing her and moving one hand trying to remove her robes. He then felt her tug at his shirt and pulled over his head. Before long he felt her skin against his and was glad to know that he had this to look forward to till the day he died.

A/N OOOOOOH, Bill's in trouble. LOL Hermione and Ginny have come out on top. The guys best be minding their p's and q's. It's not smart to mess with a girl and her wedding day. Thanks to all that have reviewed and I appreciate each and every one of you.

Return to Hogwarts

The entire Weasley family stood before their beloved Hogwarts. Harry couldn’t help but feel like he was returning to his long lost home. He led the way as they walked to the front doors. Snow was softly floating to the ground and covered everything beautifully. The large doors opened and there stood Professor McGonagall. She was the first to speak. “Welcome back!” She beamed at the clan before her. “Come in, it’s dreadfully cold.”

As they all entered the main corridor they collectively gasped at the decorations of red and gold. Large panels of red velvet had been draped from the ceiling and large gold spheres of light hung in collective bunches around the room. Fairy lights adorned the large Christmas trees, 12, just like always. The doors leading to the great hall had massive wreathes of pine hanging upon them. There were clusters of mistletoe hung in various locations inside massive doorways.

Hermione took the moment of silence to speak first. “We are extremely grateful that you allowed us to use the castle for the wedding.”

“You are quite welcome.” She said as she led them to their tower. “You will have the entire Gryffindor Tower to yourselves.” Professor McGonagall said as they made their way up the staircases.

They stepped into the common room and it felt like the first time. It had been so long many had even forgotten what it looked like. Remembering the tricky stairs to the girl’s dormitories couples began dashing for the boys dormitories. Arguments began to fill the common room as they elbowed one another, desperate to share rooms with their significant other.

“Ahem,” The sound permeated the room and reminded the younger ones in the group of the sound often made by a Professor in their fifth year. “Pardon me,” Professor McGonagall peered over the top of her eyeglasses. “It might interest you to know that I have temporarily removed the charm on the staircase to the girl’s dormitories. The shuffling soon stopped.

Harry and Ginny along with Ron and Hermione made their ways to the staircase leading to the boy’s dormitories to stake their claims while the others continued to discuss who would now be staying where.

Susan looked around. “So, this is Gryffindor Tower. Lovely”

“Come along dear, I’ll show you my old room.” George took her and led her to the room that had been his home for nearly six years.

*******

Mr. And Mrs. Weasley chose the first dormitory along the girl’s staircase. “Memories” Mrs. Weasley ran her fingertips down the curtains as she looked out onto the Hogwarts grounds. “Arthur, do you remember our first kiss?”

Mr. Weasley walked up behind her and looked at the tree beside the lake. “Yes, I wonder how many first kisses that tree has seen.”

“They’re all going to be all right, aren’t they?” She looked at her husband. “Hogwarts taught them well. They made great friends here and now they will begin their families here.”

“It’s only right. This place has been a haven for us all. Magical.” He chuckled at his own joke. “You still want more?”

“Maybe not, we may soon have enough grandchildren to keep us quite busy.” She then began tidying the room out of habit. They might have had a few grandchildren already but they were beginning to think there would be a lot more very soon. Maybe too many to keep up with.

“Molly, stop, would you please relax!” Mr. Weasley laughed. “Let’s enjoy this time together. Think of yourself as a student again.”

She stopped and looking at him she said, “Okay.” She plopped herself into the chair by the fireplace. “No more responsibility for me then.” She propped her feet onto the ottoman in front of her.

They then heard a loud commotion coming from the common room. They both quickly went to see what was going on. As they entered the common room the screams of children was piercing the air and they saw them all looking up a bearded man.

“Grams! Poppy!” The children screamed as they crossed the room.

“What in Merlin’s beard is all the screaming about?” Mrs. Weasley asked as she dropped to their eye level.

Rose soon spoke up. “It’s Father Christmas. He’s here!” She said pointing at the Headmaster.

“And we saw him,” Hunter bellowed, “now he won’t bring us any gifts!!!” He wailed on.

“Now children,” Mr. Weasley tried to help his wife comfort the children. “This isn’t Father Christmas.”

The children all looked wide eyed at the professor and debated whether or not to question the adults as to his identity. Then the accused Father Christmas spoke.

“I have been called a good many things, but that is definitely a new one.” Professor Dumbledore examined each child carefully. They were all Weasley red and obviously had minds of their own. However, which particular Weasley each of them belonged to he couldn’t say with the exception of the only girl. “Miss Rose, how nice to see you again.”

Rose’s mouth dropped as she stood in amazement that he knew who she was. The boys all stepped back as the tall bearded man walked closer to her. Rose tried to control her shaking body as she bowed, not knowing what else to do.

“Oh honey, this is the Headmaster here, Professor Dumbledore.”

“Professor Dumbledore?” She said now smiling as the light in her head went on.

“Ahhhh!” He said half amused. “It seems I have a reputation.”

“My Daddy and Uncle Harry told me all about you.” She was now very enthusiastic.

“I see,” He looked at her quizzically. “And just what have they told you?”

She was just about to answer when she heard a familiar voice. “Everything she needs to know to keep her out of trouble.” Harry said as he approached the man hugging him. Although some might not find this appropriate, the Professor had been like family to him. He had seen him through the worst times of his life.

“So, I take it you left out everything about yourselves then?” He joked looking over the top of his glasses.

“Why of course Professor!” The room looked on as Hermione bound into the room with Ron at her side. “We don’t need her trying to save the world.”

“No, we don’t Miss Granger, maybe a bit smaller, Hogwarts.”

The children stared at the adults and wondered what they were talking about.

“Sure thing Sir.” Ron smiled.

“My intentions were to let you all know that dinner is at 6:00p.m. The house elves are preparing something simple tonight.” He then added. “But the rehearsal dinner shall be extravagant.”

“Thank you!” Hermione smiled as she hugged the man as well.

“It is my pleasure and honor to have you all starting your life again here at Hogwarts.

*******

The Weasley family soon disappeared and went on their own trips down memory lane. The children decided to set out and explore the castle after strict orders on where they could and could not go. Mr. And Mrs. Weasley took a stroll around the lake while Percy and Penelope spent the afternoon pouring through the library. Fred and Angelina went to the Quidditch Pitch for a look around and with the Headmaster’s permission, Susan toll George on a tour of the Hufflepuff quarters. Bill and Fleur decided a trip into Hogsmeade would be safe. Fleur was watching Bill extremely close since the incident that occurred earlier yesterday. Charlie and Cho had not yet arrived, but would be there in time for dinner. And finally Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny headed straight for Hagrid’s hut.

Harry and Ron simultaneously beat on the massive oak door that stood before them. They watched as the windows shook from the vibration of the large man that walked across the floor.

“Who is it?” Bellowed a deep voice from behind the door.

“Orphaned dragons!” Yelled Hermione from behind the guys trying to stifle a giggle along with Ginny.

“For Bloody sake, ye’s made it!” He threw open the door with ease. He looked onto the front step at the four pair of eyes that smiled with glee. “Get your grown up bums in here.” He stood back to allow them to enter.

“How’s everything been, Hagrid?” Ron asked as he passed the man slapping his sleeve.

“Good,” he said, “Fer me anyways.” He smiled pointing at the picture on the mantelpiece.

“Sorry we missed it.” Harry said as he curiously looked at a wedding photo of Hagrid and Madame Maxime.

“I know ye would’ve been there if’n you could’ve. Hermione and the rest of the Weasley’s made up for it.” He sat at the table as Hermione went about like she always had making tea. “Building a house in Hogsmeade, ye know.”

“How have the living arrangements worked out thus far?” Asked Ginny, wondering how the two of them got about in the small hut.

“Commutin’, but she’s retiring from Beauxbatons in the spring. She’ll move everything else here then.”

They all noticed some things hanging around that most definitely didn’t belong to Hagrid. That soon changed the subject and began discussing things of very little importance. They told stories of things that had happened in each others absence. The time had gone by so quickly and it was now time to make their way to the Great Hall for dinner.

*******

All the students had been sent home for the holidays because of the wedding ceremony. The Great Hall was just as extravagant as the entrance hall. The few professors that stayed behind were sitting and waiting at a very large table. The normal house tables had been removed and replaced with a more formal dining table large enough to seat the entire Weasley family and then some. The family soon began filing into the Great Hall and the children looked around in amazement.

P.J., Percy and Penelope’s oldest, nudged Rose and leaned over to her. “Where’s the ceiling? Did they run out of galleons when they got to it?”

She laughed at him. “No, it’s bewitched to look that way. My Daddy said that ‘Hogwart’s, A History’ tells all about it.”

Harry elbowed Ron and they both couldn’t help but snicker like a couple of schoolgirls. I was like watching Hermione all over again.

“Welcome back!” A familiar voice bellowed around the room. Professor Dumbledore stood with his arms opened wide, gesturing them to the table.

Dinner went rather smoothly without any major malfunctions. Considering the persons present that was a miracle. Percy and Penelope excused themselves to put the children to bed and voluntarily took Rose as well. Bill and Fleur then followed close behind with theirs. Harry and Ginny took the first opportunity that they found to sneak away for a bit of time alone. They lingered through the corridors remembering the times they had shared there. Harry felt like a schoolboy again. Here he was walking the cold torch lit halls with the one girl that had always made everything worthwhile.

Ginny stopped and rubbed both hands across the cold hard stone wall. “Smell that?” She asked him.

“What?” Harry looked around half expecting Mrs. Norris to pop up around a corner.

“That cold musty smell.” She took in a deep breath; closing her eyes as she did so. “I will always remember it as being the smell of Hogwarts.”

“How about the smell of the broom cupboard?” They had hid in it plenty of times to know.

“I’ll give you that, but nothing is worse than the smell of the potions classroom.” She now grinned.

“Maybe Greenhouse 3!” Harry thought the fertilizer used in there was absolutely hideous.

As they reminisced they began to ascend a staircase, not even paying attention to where it was leading them.

“The fresh air on a Wednesday night.” Harry remembered back even further. He took in a deep breath, the cold air was invigorating. The North Tower had always a favorite place of his. “The stars are bright, aren’t they?”

“Just like that night.” Ginny noticed that even without a full moon the stars lit up the night sky. Harry wrapped his arms around her as she laid her head on his shoulder and they watched as the stars danced in the ebony sky.

“I should really thank Ron.” Harry said softly.

“For what?” She asked, thinking this to be a strange thing for him to say right now.

“For fighting with you that night.” He half chuckled. All because of that one incidence He and Ginny now stood here together. “If he had not upset you so much, causing you to run off, I couldn’t have found you here, alone and upset.” He remembered clearly. There were few times that he had been angry with Ron, but that time could have very well been the time he was most angry with him. After searching nearly the entire castle he had found her here.

“I’m just glad you were the one that found me.” She snuggled deeper into his arms and kissed his neck just behind his ear. She knew this drove him absolutely mad.

Harry brushed back the hair from her face and pulled her chin closer to him. He first kissed her lips softly before deepening into passionate kisses. She soon had both arms locked around his neck.

A/N I'm sorry if the chapter isn't what you expected but I thought a little trip down memory lane would be nice. Thanks to all of you that are supporting me and welcome aboard to the new readers and reviewers. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!!

Snogging, House-elves and Sweets

Ron bounced down the stairs and came to an abrupt halt in the common room. There on the sofa sat Harry and Ginny exchanging cutesy looks and snogging where children could see. “Oh, for the love of Hedwig, could you two lay off? Children could come through at any time and see that.”

“Come off it, you and Hermione aren’t any better,” Ginny spat.

Ron rolled his eyes then something dawned on him. “Where is Hermione?”

“Haven’t seen her,” Harry answered just before Ginny kissed his cheek, working her way back to his lips.

Ron turned shaking his head and headed for the portrait hole. “Don’t forget to come up for air,” he yelled.

They had not heard nor cared what he had said. They intended to enjoy every minute of their time here together.

************************************************************************

Fred and George walked around the corner of the corridor that led to the kitchens. To their amazement they spotted Hermione alone, stepping from the portrait hole and they sped up to find out what she was up to.

“What are you doing, Hermione?” Fred asked.

George cackled. “Trying to convert more house-elves? Don’t you ever take a break?”

She folded her arms in front of her and raised an eyebrow. “If you must know, I was checking on tonight’s dinner.” She then added after a brief pause, “And If I happened to get across to just one then so be it.” She stuck her head high.

“Hermione the Evangelist, anything to convert them to her side,” Fred said as he elbowed George.

She ignored them both and flicked her hair as she turned on her heel and marched back up the corridor to the stairs.

George laughed and reached up to tickle the fruit to gain entrance to the kitchens.

The house-elves stopped what they were doing when they noticed the famous Weasley twins enter. They began whispering amongst themselves looking extremely nervous. One brave soul stepped forward to address them.

“Excusing me sirs, Millie is wanting to ask what you wants.” The house-elf was shaking uncontrollably.

“Food! What else?” George chimed.

“Oh, Millie is being sorry, but we cannot do that.” She stood firmly in her spot as though it was final.

Fred and George’s faces fell open. They had never been refused anything from the Hogwarts kitchen.

Fred spoke up. “Pardon me?”

“We is being under strict orders to keep the Weasley twins as far from the kitchen as being possible. Millie must ask you to leave.” She now looked scared as she took a step backward, however the others now stood behind her.

As Fred and George stumbled through the exit and traveled down the hall they couldn’t believe what had just transpired.

“Who would do such a thing?” Fred stammered, trying to sound shocked.

George laughed. “After all these years they’re finally on to us.”

“Looks like we’ll need to make a trip into Hogsmeade.” Fred slapped his brother’s shoulder as they dashed off.

************************************************************************

Ginny stepped into the Great Hall to make sure everything was in order for the rehearsal dinner. Hermione sat slouched in a chair, looking extremely exhausted.

“Ron has been looking for you all morning,” Ginny said to her.

Hermione sat up a pushed her hair from her face. “I think everything is done. Now to get myself ready.” She looked around the room placing her hands on her hips. “He hasn’t looked too hard for me. I really could have used his help.”

Ginny felt horrible. “I should have been her helping. I’m sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it. I really had a lot of help from the house-elves; I just want to make him feel guilty,”sShe snickered.

“Well, nice job. How about we get on upstairs and get started getting ready?” She grabbed he friend's arm.

“OK, they’ll finish up the final touches for me,” she smiled.

“Hermione Granger, I can’t believe you’re relying on the house-elves so much,” Ginny scolded.

“Don’t worry, I’m paying them.” She patted the pocket of her jeans causing a jingle. “I refused their help unless they took it.” She then told Ginny about running into the twins earlier near the kitchen.

Ginny shook her head. “Don’t worry, they may be jokesters, but they wouldn’t dare. Not here anyway, Mum would have their skins if they did anything to mess up the wedding.”

“Well, I’m keeping an eye on them anyway,” Hermione said as they headed to their rooms.

************************************************************************

Charlie and Cho stepped into the Gryffindor common room and found Bill and Fleur sitting together in deep discussion.

“So big brother, you still in trouble?” he teased as he plopped down on the sofa across from them.

Fleur gave him a look of disgust. “You should be ashamed of yourself as well, Charlie,” she said as she caught his eyes.

“Absolutely,” Cho agreed. “You two should be setting examples. There are impressionable children around. And two of them are yours Bill.”

“Speaking of children, where are they?” Charlie asked his older brother.

“Are you kidding? We haven’t seen them since we arrived here outside of meals and bedtime,” he chuckled. “There is too much to see in this castle.”

The picture leading into the common room flung open, and in walked Hermione and Ginny. They all greeted one another and sat around pouring tea from the tray that had been left by a house-elf.

“Good to see you’ve made it Charlie,” Ginny said, then turning to Hermione. “I’m going up to start dressing. Will you come up and help me with my hair when you finish with your tea?”

“Sure thing,” Hermione responded as Ginny continued up to the room.

“Ooooo Bill, she is hacked off at you,” Charlie teased. “So much for being her favorite.”

“Shut up,” Bill spat as he touched the end of his tender nose remembering the pain.

“Daddy!” In walked the children as excited as could be. “That’s not nice to say. We get in trouble for it.”

Cash turned to Fleur. “He gets a time out.”

“Absolutely, honey,” she smiled.

Cash and P.J. looked so excited you would have thought they might have burst. Rose calmly sat down and gestured them to do the same.

“You won’t believe what we found,” buck finally said unable to control his excitement.

Percy and Penelope’s twins, Hunter and Jaeger, were nearly four and had grown accustomed to tagging along behind the others along with Buck, Bill and Fleur’s youngest, who was one month younger than the twins. They swaggered in slowly and flopped into a chair all looking a bit green.

“What is with them?” Charlie asked.

P.J. let out a huge sigh. “That’s what we are trying to tell you.”

Cash interrupted. “We found a room full of sweets. Anything and everything you could ever want. It was amazing.”

Cho looked at Hermione. “The Room of Requirement?”

“I’m sorry?” Bill questioned.

“You know,” Hermione said to him. “Remember the room we told you about; where we had the DA meetings?”

He raised his eyebrows as the light went off. “Oh, but … how did the sweets get there?”

“Honestly Bill, are you sure you were Head Boy?” Hermione turned to the children. “What were you doing when you found the room?”

“Just walking,” P.J. shrugged.

“You don’t understand sweetheart, were you talking about anything or just thinking?” Hermione knelt down as she stressed the question.

“We were talking about wanting to get someone to take us to Honeydukes,” P.J. answered innocently.

“There you go!” Cho boomed.

“Just how much did you guys eat?” Hermione questioned.

Rose spoke up, thinking they had said enough. “They ate until they looked like that.” She pointed at the younger ones of the group. “I told them they would get sick.”

Buck held up his little hand showing his fingers. “I had five chocolate frogs and five boxes of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans and … ”

“OK, sweetheart,” Fleur said to her youngest child. “Let’s get you upstairs. I think it’s time for bed. You’ve had quite enough.”

A/N How would you like to be five and run across a room full of sweets? LOL SO, do you likey? Let me know, I am on the edge of my seat with anticipation. LOL How about those house-elves kicking out the twins?
Rehearsal and Roses by scarlet phoenix feathers
Rehearsal and Roses

Ginny sat at the dressing table as Hermione worked on her hair and told her what the children had managed to get into. Hermione had large rollers piles onto Ginny’s head and then went to work on her own.

The door flung open and in strolled Ron and Harry, laughing.

“Good of you to join us.” Hermione said as she placed a hand on her hip.

Harry side stepped the wrath of Hermione and made his way to Ginny. “Nice look you have going on there.” He teased.

“You best be getting use to it. You got years to look at it.” She fluttered her eyes lashed and took his hand, giving a welcome kiss.

Ron noticed Harry’s warm welcome and wanted the same. “Didn’t you miss me?”

“Of Course, considering I haven’t seen you all day.” She looked like a neglected child.

“Sorry dear.” He looked a bit guilty and quickly took her into his arms. “Harry and I have been in the forest with Hagrid.”

“That’s nice.” She half smiled. “But have you forgotten the dinner tonight?”

“No, that’s why we’re here now.” He kissed her to keep her from making any further comments. “Thought I might sneak in a kiss or two before dinner.”

“Honestly Ron, Harry and I are getting tired of seeing all that.” She nagged playfully.

Harry suppressed a chuckle. “Come on mate, we need showers now, anyway. You wreak of something dead.”

An appalled look fell over Ron’s face as he swung at Harry’s shoulder. “Thanks a lot.”

“Oh, get on you two; we have to finish our hair anyway.” Hermione advised them.

“Fine.” Ron pouted. “When do I get a good snog from my girl?”

“Are you kidding? We have the rest of our lives to do that. We’re keepers.” Harry said making himself and Ron sound like a couple of stray puppies.

They rushed out the door and headed to the showers after taking a moment to steal kisses from their future wives.

************************************************************************

Mrs. Weasley looked about the common room ensuring that everyone was presentable, namely Fred and George. She smiled as she noticed that Angelina and Susan both were fussing over their ties. Mrs. Weasley didn’t have to worry anymore. Percy and Penelope were standing by the fireplace in their best robes completely wrinkleless and poised. Charlie and Cho were huddled in a corner arm in arm sneaking a kiss here and there. Fleur was fussing over Bill trying to hide his bruised nose with a color charm all the while reminding him it was his own fault. Mr. Weasley entered the room from the girl’s staircase.

“Everyone Ready?” He bellowed, and then he noticed the children missing. “Where are the children?”

“Madam Pomphrey has been kind enough to stay with them, as they had an early feast of their own.” Fleur informed him of the afternoon’s events.

“And the couples of honor will make an entrance once everyone is set.” Mrs. Weasley announced.

The well dressed family filed from the portrait hole and made their way to the Great Hall to join the other guests. Tonight would be an informal beginning to the big event to take place the following afternoon.

************************************************************************

Harry and Ron stood in the common room waiting for the girls to make their entrance. You would have thought that the wedding was tonight. Both Harry and Ron had a huge case of the monkey nerves. Beads of sweat had already accumulated on their foreheads and their hands felt like they had been coated in slug slime. Ron had both arms rested on the mantelpiece with his forehead lying against them. Harry was feeling nauseated. He took a deep breath trying to calm himself. They both jumped and turned to face the staircase when they heard the shoes of Hermione and Ginny.

Hermione was the first to appear. She wore a gown of pale seafoam and her hair had been swept up with stray curls falling to her shoulders. Small sprigs of baby’s breath were delicately placed in her hair adding just the right amount of contrast to her attire.

Ron could feel his head starting to swim. She looked amazing. What had he done to deserve such a gorgeous woman?

Harry’s eyes feel onto those of Ginny’s. The blue tone in her eyes was deepened by the midnight blue robes she wore. Her long locks tumbled down her back and shoulders in large scarlet curls. Her shiny salmon pink lips turned up into a smile at the look on Harry’s eyes.

“Ginny.” Harry gasped.

“Hermione” Ron whispered at the same moment.

That’s all that either of them could say. Hermione never thought that she would see the day that Ron Weasley was speechless.

“We need to be heading on down. I’m sure that everyone is tired of waiting.” Hermione suggested.

“Right, then” Ron managed still not breaking the eye contact he had with Hermione.

They made their way through the portrait hole just like they had done so many times before. They soon came to Hagrid, who was waiting at the entrance to the Great Hall.

“’Bout time ye’s made it. I was beginin’ to think ye’d changed yer minds.” He aggravated.

“Never.” Harry said as he squeezed Ginny’s hand.

“I’m supposed to announce ye’s all. One couple at a time.” He informed them.

“Ron, you and Hermione first.” Hagrid turned leading them to the door.

Hagrid pulled the doors open and scanned the room quickly then boomed. “Mr. Ronald Weasley and Miss Hermione Granger.” He stepped aside and held out a hand gesturing them forward.

“Ron,” Hermione whispered, “I’m nervous.”

He felt a pang of relief. “Me too.” He then smiled. “Just wait until tomorrow.”

Hermione took in a deep breath and released it slowly from her mouth. “I love you.”

“Me too.” He said again, not being able to say anything else right now.

As they made their way to the table they heard Hagrid erupt again.

“Mr. Harry Potter and Miss Ginerva Weasley.” He again stepped aside and gestured them forward as well.

Harry couldn’t make out a single face as they made the walk to their places beside Hermione and Ron. He could think of nothing other than taking care of Ginny. Protecting her till the day he died. As they came to their seat Professor Dumbledore stood and prepared himself to make a speech as he often did before and feast. “I would first like to say welcome to you all on behalf of the Weasley family and their future members, Harry and Hermione.” He took a quick pause as he peered around the room.

Taking in a deep breath he continued. “These two couples have grown together as friends amongst these walls and I find is only appropriate that they begin their lives together as husband and wife here as well. They have become the wizards and witches that I had hoped they would be one day. I will not continue to bore you today so again I say welcome.” A smile lit up his eyes and with a nod of his head he clapped his hands and the food appeared in their plates with extras popping up in large serving dishes.

It didn’t’ take long for the lot of them to dig in. Ron looked at the rather small whole bird that lay on his plate and questioned Hermione. “What are these?”

“Cornish Hens.” She whispered through a grin. “They’re delicious. Go on, tuck in.”

The entire table had nearly devoured the food that lay before them when a scream came from one end of the table.

“What in the bloody hell?” Bill groaned.

The entire table looked at him as Mrs. Weasley scolded. “Bill Weasley.” She then noticed what the major problem had been.

Rose petals began pouring from his nose and soon his ears had them falling out as well.

“Fred…George.” Mrs. Weasley demanded. “You stop this right now. Go on, fix it.”

They had been the first to burst into laughter but soon let up enough to deny the actions.

“Mum, we didn’t do it.” George was in tears from his fits of laughter.

Angelina looked at Fred and threatened him silently. “Really, as much as I would like to take the credit, I can’t.”

Hermoine and Ginny sat there shocked at the sight before them.

Fleur snatched up Bill to rush him to Madam Pomphrey. “Sorry Hermione…Ginny.” She mouthed as she led him out of the Great Hall.

Everyone began chatting and the dishes were cleared. Harry spotted the one person he had been dying to see since dinner began. “Remus, you made it.”

“Did you think I wouldn’t?” He hugged the man that was all that was left of his dear friends.

Remus looked extremely well these days being that there had been a breakthrough in treatment of his condition. The new potion, if administered with the wolf bane potion, would almost render the affects of the full moon obsolete.

Remus then admitted. “Tonks and I have been seeing each other for sometime now.” He declared. “We have just worried about the reaction of everyone because of the age difference.”

“Nonsense.” Hermione interrupted as she and Ron made their way to them. “You two are absolutely lovely together.”

Their attention soon rested on the gasps and murmurs of everyone else. Their small group looked to see what could be causing the commotion. Fred and George, both, were laying into someone awfully hard and as they strained to see, Hermione and Ginny dashed to their defense when they saw the white blonde hair.

“Stop it this minute.” Ginny demanded as she and Hermione jumped in front of Draco and Daisy.

“What in the name of Merlin are you doing here?” Fred growled.

“We invited them!” Hermione howled.

George then questioned her. “What made you do a fool thing like that?”

“Now you wait just a gnome nabbing minute. Don’t you dare talk to her that way.” Ron commanded as stepped beside his bride-to-be.

“Have you all gone mad?” Fred asked as Harry stepped slightly in front of Ginny to shield her from her irate brothers.

“Wait a minute!” Mr. Weasley’s voice echoed around the room.

“We’ll just leave.” Draco suggested. “We didn’t mean to cause trouble.”

“Like hell, Malfoy. That’s your middle name.” Fred glared at him not backing down.

“No he won’t!” Ginny exclaimed. “Things have changed.” She informed her brothers.

After a considerably long explanation the others backed off, but they still didn’t trust him. They all avoided him as though he were a dementor, keeping an eye on him at the same time. He was the enemy. Always had been, always would be.

A/N So how was that. I know what your thinking, Bill has had enough, but Hermione needed to get in on the pranks and this was perfect. Thanks for all the wonderful reviews and I hope this chapter update was fast enough. LOL again thanks.

Favors Returned And Promises Made

The guests soon began to disperse and make their ways to their assigned sleeping quarters. Draco had requested a bedchamber anywhere in the castle other than in the Slytherin House. That place would only remind him of the person he once was. The Weasley’s insisted that he stay with them in the Gryffindor tower along with close friends. It was merely a way to keep a better eye on him.

Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny finally made their way to the tower after going over a few last details with Professor McGonagall and Professor Dumbledore. Standing outside the portrait hole they could hear the chatter from inside. As they stepped inside they saw Bill on one sofa looking somewhat peaked. Madam Pomphrey was informing them of what she had found.

“The closest thing that I found that could have caused the problem is some kind of fertilizer based potion. It obviously came in contact with his food.” Madam Pomphrey explained.

“Hermione said that she ran into the twins near the kitchen this morning.” Ginny piped loudly.

“Oh, no you don’t.” George defended himself. “We didn’t do anything. Those house-elves wouldn’t let us have so much as a pumpkin pasty and banished us from the kitchen.

Percy felt his two knuts worth of knowledge were needed. “I find that hard to believe.”

“He’s right.” Hermione said. “They were under strict orders to not allow them anywhere near anything.” She then turned to Bill. “How are you feeling?”

“Okay, but I would feel much better if these petals would stop falling from my ears.” They were no longer flowing but had fallen to a slow drizzle.

“Here.” She thrust a small vile of bright red liquid at him. “Drink this, it will make it stop.”

“How do you know?” Fleur asked her.

“Because I’m the one who soaked his Cornish hen in the potion.” She smirked. “Consider the favor returned you bully.”

The room fell silent as their mouths dropped open. She then continued. “It was a simple potion I once read about in Herbology. I thought it would be appropriate with the roses and all.”

Once Bill guzzled the potion, the rose petals ceased to fall from his head. Madam Pomphrey was even trying to stifle a grin.

Fred and George both began to bow to Hermione. “All hail, Hermione the Queen of all pranks.”

“Oh stop it.” She chuckled as the room also erupted into laughter, as did Bill.

“Remind me again why I am marrying you?” Ron Asked with a distorted look on his face. “You scare me.”

“Hey mate, just be glad she’s our side.” Harry said mesmerized.

“Okay, Okay, I’ll be good from now on, I promise.” Bill pleaded as he held his hands in a defensive position.

Mr. And Mrs. Weasley suppressed the smiles that fought desperately to come out. Hermione was definitely meant to be a Weasley. This event would be proof that she would never be without a family. Teacups in hand they sat laughing not aware of how this night might turn out.

Draco and Daisy sat quietly in a corner sipping tea and waited for the opportunity to speak with the only obvious friends they had. Hermione forced Ron to the corner as did Ginny with Harry.

“Hermione, you have been more of a friend than anyone has ever been to me, and I daresay that I don’t deserve it. I knew the chance I was taking by coming here, but I had to come. This is my way of saying I promise to always be a friend from this forward.”

Ron felt his stomach twist with anger, but he promised Hermione to ’be good’.

Hermione addressed Daisy. “You just keep him in line, alright. He’s a good guy; he just needed his eyes opened.”

Daisy nodded as she shifted in her seat, obviously uncomfortable from the pregnancy.

Remus and Tonks stopped by the group in the corner. “Goodnight” Remus nodded. “See you in the morning.”

Tonks then added. “Let me know if you need any help, you know I have a way with appearances.”

“You don’t mean that you are going to bed now?” Harry asked him. “The party hasn’t even begun.”

“You go on. This is for those of you who are still a bit young. I have other things that need tending to.” He took Tonks by the hand and led her to their room.

They all chuckled under their breaths.

“Goodnight” They all chimed in unison.

“Ginny” Hermione turned her attention to her. “I need to go to the kitchen. Want to go?”

“Sure” She jumped from her seat. “Be back in a minute.” She kissed Harry.

Hermione kissed Ron who was beginning to lighten up a bit around Draco.

************************************************************************

Harry and Ron tried to play the good little hosts that they promised they would be. Draco had yet to say or do anything that remotely reminded them of his old demeanor. Mrs. Weasley snagged up Daisy and began to fuss over her cute protruding belly. The dinner had gone by so quickly that they hadn’t had the time to visit with their friends. Neville showed up looking quite impressive. He was still single, but only because of the strenuous schedule at St. Mungo’s.

Seamus Finnigan appeared beside Ron. “Hey, it’s about time I see you guys face to face. All of the articles in the paper make me think I never really knew you guys at all.” Seamus too, was still single. Ha and Lavender had been an item on and off for years. Right now they were off, even though she was there as well.

“So, how’s Lavender?” Harry asked him.

“Neurotic!!” He said extremely loud as he shot a glare in her direction.

“Psycho!!” Lavender screamed not missing a beat.

Ron and Harry both looked at Draco and the three of them stifled laughs.

“Women.” Seamus grumbled. “You guys are so lucky. You have such understanding and sweet girls.”

Ron about choked on the gulp of Firewhiskey he had just taken. “Are you kidding me? We are talking about the same girls here, right? Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley.”

Seamus thought back to their childhood. “Okay, point taken.”

The Portrait whole flung open and in walked Dean Thomas loaded down with crate. He sent them flying through the air with a quick flick of his wand and sat them down gently. “Provisions dear sirs. It’s time for a party.”

The common room soon looked like it had when they were all students. Laughter permeated the room as Mr. Weasley attempted to balance a bottle of Firewhiskey on his nose. “Like this?” He asked Lee Jordan.

“Hi’ya Ron.” Luna Lovegood appeared to be made of ….plastic wrap.

“Uh…Hi…Luna.” Ron was at a loss for words. “You look…preserved.” Harry elbowed him and bent over pretending to pick up something in order to hide the smile that was plastered across his face.

“Oh this…it’s a treatment to open my pores.” I read about it in the Mediwizards World. It said it’s supposed to cleanse them properly and prevent body odor.”

Draco had just put his bottle to his mouth and his eyes widened at the comment.

“Where’s Hermione and Ginny?” She then asked never once stopping to take a breath.

“Um…” Harry stammered, thinking that they should be back by now. “They went to the kitchen.”

“No, I just came from there. Where do you think this all came from?” She asked pointing at the clear plastic around her.

Ron thought it was a good thing it was wrapped in thick layers. It prevented anyone seeing anything they shouldn’t.

Harry looked worried, as the girls were still gone. He made his way to Charlie who was discussing, very loudly, with Hagrid, the topic of dragons and their importance in the Wizarding World.

After Harry quickly informed them of the girls long absence Charlie was on a table trying to get the attention of the crowd in the room.

“Hey!! Has anyone seen Hermione or Ginny in the last hour?” He bellowed.

No one answered and the entire room soon became concerned.

Harry dashed up the stairs and soon returned to the common room with the Marauders map and Crookshanks. As much as they hated him they were glad that Hermione had brought him. He would prove to be useful in the search.

The room all stood around in amazement as Harry tapped the map and spoke the words that opened it. ‘I solemnly swear that I am up to no good

A/N Okay, for those of you asking, yes Hermione did it. Hahaha. She needed to get in on the fun. And how about the girls. Where are they you ask. Well, I can't tell just yet. Don't you just hate the cliffhangers? Thanks to everyone that has taken an interest in the story and I hope that you continue to enjoy!!!!

Forest, Willow, and Stone

They all studied the map carefully, not seeing a sign of Hermione and Ginny anywhere. Harry looked up from the battered old parchment with a worried look in his eyes. “Someone get Remus!”

Ron sat beside him concentrating hard on the map, hoping a Hermione or Ginny dot would appear at any moment. The longer they sat there the more worried they became. If this was another prank he thought he might kill her. But what if it wasn’t.

George soon appeared with a very tired looking Remus. “Give it to me!” George had obviously filled him in on the missing women.

Remus took out his wand. “Locus of the bird we seek, Hermione.” After finishing the sentence he looked up from the map. “Your Dad added that feature soon after he and Lily started seeing each other. He liked the idea of sneaking up on her where ever she was.” There was still nothing on the map. “Locus of the bird we seek, Ginny.” Yet again, nothing.

“What?” Harry barked.

“They aren’t on the grounds. That should have shown their exact location had they been on the property.” His face drooped with concern.

“Okay,” Mad-Eye boomed. “Let’s set up search teams. Some will go to the forest and others will go to Hogsmeade.”

“We’ll take the passage leading to Honeydukes.” Fred volunteered. George shook his head in agreement still watching the parchment.

“Harry, we can go through the Whomping Willow.” Ron said quickly.

Almost the entire room was in shock at the secrets that were being revealed before their very eyes. Remus explained to the teams where they would be going and how they would get there. Fred and George wrote down meticulous details to gain entrance into the passageways.

Mrs. Weasley was now thankful that her sons had been suck nosy busy bodies. Armed with their wands and cloaks teams soon began to exit the common room.

************************************************************************

Hermione lay still from the binding curse that had been placed on her. In the corner of her eye she could see Ginny next to her. She felt a tear burn as it ran down the side of her face. She didn’t know where she was or what had happened to her.

“Look dear, she cries.” A feminine voice hissed with a hint of a chuckle.

Hermione continued the internal struggle to release herself but not so much as a hair moved. She then heard the cool voice of the woman release the spell and she Ginny jumped up at the same time to face their attacker. But before they could…

“Crucio”

Hermione’s entire body crumbled to the floor in pain. She could feel every nerve contract and every muscle spasm.

“Urrrgh!” Ginny screamed.

When the pain ceased Hermione grabbed for Ginny to help her up. This time they made it to their feet and turned to see who was responsible for what had happened.

“Narcissa?” Ginny stammered.

“How bright.” She said sarcastically.

“But why?” Hermione asked.

“Do you really believe that I would leave my husband’s side? You all are responsible for what has happened.” A loathing look fell over her face. “And you will bring the one we want most to us.”

“He left you with nothing, Narcissa.” Ginny screamed.

“Crucio!” A male voice boomed from the dark corner.

Ginny fell to her knees screaming in agony.

“Stop!!” Hermione cried. Ginny again made her way to standing upright.

“You Weasley’s never could to keep your noses out of other people’s affair, could you?” The make voice ranted. “You will all pay dearly for what you have done to the great Lord Voldemort.” And from behind the darkness stepped Lucius Malfoy.

“But how? You’re supposed to be in Azkaban.” Hermione said half confused.

Lucius looked at Narcissa. “And to think this Mudblood was presumed to be to brightest in her grade.”

“What do you want with us?” Ginny demanded.

“Like we said, bait!” He bellowed. “Do you not think that, that clan of incompetent redheads along with Harry Potter won’t come looking for you? And we won’t be found until we want to be.”

He then pointed his wand at them and rope shot from the end, tying their hands and feet together. “Come Narcissa, we have things to plan.”

************************************************************************

Harry ran down the corridors at top speed to get to the Whomping Willow. As they stepped into the night air they could heat the crunch of the snow underneath their feet. The visible breath detected just how hard the group was breathing.

“Where are we going, Harry?” Draco asked.

“Watch.” Harry sat Crookshanks to the ground and commanded him forward. “Go on, you know what to do.”

The flat-faced ginger cat darted to the violently swishing tree and pounced on the branch that deemed it motionless. Harry led the way under the tree, all the while, Draco looked amazed.

“It leads to the Shrieking Shack.” Harry told him.

They all watched carefully as they made the long decent of the tunnel. After reaching the shack and searching it completely they ventured out into Hogsmeade. The streets were bare with the exception of the occasional customer that fell from the door of the Hogshead. Soon familiar faces emerged from the establishment.

“Did you guys find anything?” Fred asked.

“Nothing” Ron said in a very disappointed voice.

“Okay then, let’s take the road back. Everyone keep your eyes open.” Harry suggested as he pinched the collar of his cloak.

“Did they have on warm clothes?” Neville asked.

“Not warm enough for this weather.” Harry answered with a sound of worry in his voice.

At the rate they were all running it wasn’t long before the group made its way back into the front doors of the castle. The others had already made it back from the Forbidden Forest and they were huddled in the Great Hall with Hagrid and Professor Dumbledore.

“We checked the whole forest Headmaster.” Hagrid reported. “They’s not there.”

“And all the secret passage ways.” Fred added.

“Wait” Draco jumped up to the open map. “There’s one missing from here.”

“One what?” George snarled.

“One passageway.” He replied.

“Oh, isn’t that rich, ferret boy telling us we missed a passageway.”

“Shut up!” Ron screamed. “Let him talk. Leave your pride at the door would you. Our sister and Hermione are missing.”

“Thanks Ron.” Draco said calmly.

“Mr. Malfoy, what is it that you know?” Professor Dumbledore asked.

“There’s another passageway, honestly.” He was half pleading. “It led to a labyrinth of halls and rooms under the lake.”

“That’s why it’s not on the map.” Remus explained. “If the entrance is outside the perimeter of the grounds then it isn’t going to show itself.”

“Follow me, I’ll show you.” Draco grabbed his cloak heading back to the cold.”

Fred and George both were hesitant about following Draco anywhere, but the look from their father suggested they best move quickly and follow.

They soon came to the front gate of the Hogwarts entrance.

“Here.” He pointed to the gate.

“It’s a gate.” Dean Thomas said confused.

“Where have you been the last five years?” Seamus teased. “This place is magic. You know the stuff we studied for seven years? It’s like the Chamber, right?” He asked looking at Draco.

“Somewhat.” Draco confirmed any doubts they had. “Watch.”

Draco faced the boar on the left side of the entrance and grasped the left ear while pinching its snout. Immediately the stone pillar opened revealing a secret passageway.

“There it is.” Draco stood back with his arms crossed, feeling a bit proud that he knew a secret the Weasley twins hadn’t yet figured out.

“Hermione?” Ginny sobbed.

“Yes?” Hermione answered.

“What do you think their going to do to us?” She asked quietly as she tried to control her quivering voice.

“I don’t know but they need us.” She tried to thinking positively.

Ginny had now completely lost it. “When is all of this going to stop? Why does everything always have to go wrong? What do we have to do to get normal lives?” She asked question after question through her deep cries.

Hermone tried to remain composed. “Ginny…please think calm.” She begged. “We can’t let them get the better of us. You know Harry and Ron will save us. That’s what their trained to do.”

“Don’t be so sure of it dear.” Narcissa reappeared. “They will never find you here. When we are ready, we’ll contact them.”

“If that’s the case,” Hermione began, “then where are we?”

“Now that wouldn’t be fun.” Narcissa laughed with a bit of an evil tone. “Just so you know, Harry Potter and ALL the Weasley’s will pay for what they have done to us.”

Ginny swallowed the last of her whimpers. “You have brought this onto yourselves.” She said through clenched teeth. “You chose to follow Voldemort and sacrifice the rest of the Wizarding World.”

“Shut your Mudblood loving mouth!” She screamed. “You aren’t worthy to speak of the great Lord Voldemort so casually.”

“Look at you, scared of a dead man. A dead half-blood at that.” Ginny cared not what Narcissa was capable of doing to her.

“It’s called respect, and I would advise you to learn what it is, and soon. Lucius will soon be back. He isn’t as forgiving as I am.” She turned to glide from the room as though she were as a ball on the dance floor.

“Ginny, control, remember.” Hermione reminded her. “Lucius must really need us or she would have blasted you into the next century.”

“I don’t care, they are nothing but cowards.” She said furiously.

“Do you think Harry wants to find you dead?” She tried reasoning with Ginny’s temper.

Ginny lay there thinking, not wanting to give in. She watched the water drip from the cave ceiling. “Okay, but he better hurry.”

************************************************************************

Harry and Ron led the small army into the depths of the earth. They followed a narrow stone path that descended further into the ground. The walls were covered in slimy green moss and water seeped from the cracks. The walkway soon opened into an underground foyer that smelled of mildew and seaweed.

There were many large paths that broke off from the makeshift room. They all struggled to peer through the darkness trying to decide which way to go.

“Well?” Ron asked looking at Draco.

“I don’t really know.” He said as he shrugged his shoulders. “I’ve never really been down here. I only recently heard about it.” He paused as if concentrating on some minute detail that he may have forgotten. “It has many rooms; they used these years ago to hide Death Eaters.”

“Okay.” Mad-Eye boomed. “Let’s split back up. Malfoy, you come with me.”

“We’ll go this way!” Harry took the entrance furthest left and Ron followed close behind.

“I’m coming with you two!” Neville raced after them.

“Me too.” Seamus blurted.

The others broke up into groups of 3 or 4 and chose pathways that led in every direction.

“Neville stopped, picking some green leaves from the wall. “We’re under the middle of the lake.”

“And how do you know that?” Seamus asked him.

“This seaweed,” He thrust the specimen at him to take. “it’s the type that the mermaids eat. And it only grows at the deepest part of the lake.”

Harry couldn’t see a significance of the information. “And how does that affect us at this point?” He asked sarcastically.

Neville had a look on his face much like Hermione’s when she thought they were being thick. “It means we must be getting near them. Otherwise we would have seen them on the map. Once we pass the deepest part of the lake we then are on Hogwarts grounds again.” He stood thinking on.

“They were also able to apparate in and out of here.” Seamus soon caught on.

Neville then continued. “Exactly. Voldemort could have very well been here all along.”

“Okay, sorry Neville.” Harry apologized.

“That’s fine Harry, let’s just find the girls. They should be close.” He patted his friends back offering some encouragement.

************************************************************************

“Oh, Minerva, what am I going to do?” Mrs. Weasley sobbed into her handkerchief. “My daughter and future daughter-in-law are missing and the rest of children are out there putting themselves in danger looking for them.”

“Now, Molly, they’ll all be fine. You know this lot. They don’t give up or give in.” Professor McGonagall tried comforting her.

“That’s what I’m afraid of.” She half chuckled.

“Mrs. Weasley, you have the best Aurors in the Ministry looking for those girls. They’ll be here before you know it.” Tonks had volunteered to come back and update everyone and keep an eye on them.

All the women in the room quickly jumped to their feet when the portrait opened.

“I’m ready for a party. Sorry I’m so…” Oliver Wood stopped the minute he noticed he was the only man present. “Did I misunderstand where the party was to be held?”

“No, Oliver.” Angelina spoke to her old friend. “Ginny and Hermione are missing. They’ve all gone to look for them.”

“Well, I’ll be a rogue bludger. Where can I find the guys I’ll help?” He had been friends with the Weasleys as long as he could remember. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for them.

Tonks walked over closer and began to explain in further detail what was going on as to not upset Mrs. Weasley any more than she already was.

Professor McGonagall conjured up a plate of sandwiches and tea. “Here Oliver, eat something. We’ll all join you with tea.”

“Grams?” Rose stumbled into the common room. “Where’s my mummy and daddy?”

“Oh dear.” She couldn’t bear to tell her the truth just yet, especially if she didn’t need to. “They will be back later dear. You should really be in bed.”

“Here, I’ll take her.” Fleur took Rose by the hand and led her back to the makeshift nursery.

As soon as they were out of ear shot Mrs. Weasley lost control again. “What will I tell that child if they come back…” She paused. “alive?”

“Mrs. Weasley you can’t think that way. I spent enough time with your children to know they aren’t weak. And Harry.” He smiled trying to lighten the mood. “He doesn’t give up. Harry always gets his snitch and right now his snitch is Ginny and Hermione.”

“I have to agree with Oliver.” Professor McGonagall nodded as she took a sip of her tea.

************************************************************************

Ron began walking ahead and carefully looked around a corner that led into another room. He gasped and quickly retreated back around the corner. “Harry!”

“What?” Harry said still occupied with Neville’s theory.

“Come here, and quite.” He scolded sounding more like Hermione.

Once Harry, Neville and Seamus made their way to Ron, Harry whispered as to not upset the crackpot known as Ron. “What is it?”

“They’re there?” He pointed in the direction of the room.

“Ginny and Hermione?” He said sounding almost relieved. “Did you see anyone else?”

“No, and their tied up.” He looked back wanting to dash into the room.

“Okay, quietly, let’s go. Ron, stay back a bit in case it’s a trap.” He commanded. “And you two stay even further back until we give you the okay.”

Neville and Seamus both nodded as they stepped back against the rock wall.

Harry slowly walked in and caught the eyes of the girls. “Are you two okay?” He whispered.

“Oh Harry.” Ginny again whimpered.

Ron soon stepped into the room rushing to their sides opposite Harry. He pulled out his wand removing the binding spell and helping them to their feet. “It’s okay guys.” Ron yelled to the others.

“We’re just a bit sore is all.” Hermione told them. “They used Cruciatus on us quite a few times.”

“Don’t Move!!!” A voice said behind them.

Harry turned his head just enough to see the tip of a wand pointing at his eyeball.

“It seems the boy Potter has found our little hideout, Narcissa.”

“Narcissa?” Harry turned quickly to see them both with wands pointing at him.

“Why yes Potter.” Lucius smiled curling a lip in disgust. “If I return to Azkaban, it will be well worth it once I kill you.” He then laughed. “The others will only be a bonus.”

“What else do you know about this place?” Mad Eye asked Draco as they walked the dark corridor.

“Nothing, really, I would always try to eavesdrop on them when they met. But Dad had some sort of protection curse on the walls.”

“They, meaning death eaters?” He half asked half stated to himself. His eye rapidly rolled about. “Maybe something like here? I can’t see through any of these walls.”

“Possibly” Draco watched the roving eye and contemplated asking him about it. “Thanks” He said deciding against asking.

“For what?” He peered at the once cunning eyes of the young man.

“For believing me; for bringing me with you.” He lowered his voice into an embarrassed tone.

Mad-Eye smirked. “One: I don’t believe you’ve changed; Two: That’s why I brought YOU with me.”

Draco looked neither shocked nor surprised. “I understand.” He replied as they carried on down the corridor.

*************************************************************

Fred, George and Charlie crept along hoping to find anything that led to their baby sister and Hermione.

Fred nudged George’s arm. “Too bad we didn’t know about this place while we were still at Hogwart’s.”

POP! Charlie slapped him in the back of the head. “They were harboring death eaters down here you git.”

“Yeah, right.” He said rubbing the back of his head.

Charlie shook his head. “I often wonder how the two of you have made it this far without killing yourselves.”

Fred laughed. “Luck!”

George stopped dead fast holding his head high ignoring the two behind him. “Smell that?” He asked anyone listening.

Fred rolled his eyes at him. “Yeah, it’s called dead fish.”

“No, you imbecile, that sweet smell.” He said sounding very serious.

“Ginny?” Charlie questioned, not being around enough to know her perfume scent.

“I don’t know but it’s definitely female.” Fred said never loosing his concentration.

The three of them sped up stopping only to peek into empty rooms along the way.

*************************************************************

“Oh, Minerva, I’ve got to do something.” Mrs. Weasley paced the room holding back tears that glimmered in her eyes.

“You are, we need to watch for the children. If someone has taken them they could very well come back for the children.” Professor McGonagall tried desperately to comfort the woman.

Tonks stood looking out the window watching for any sign of them in the front. “She’s right Mrs. Weasley. I am under strict orders to not leave this common room for any reason. We don’t know what we are up against.”

“I suppose you’re right. Where are they exactly anyway, Tonks?” Mrs. Weasley asked the current fellow red-head. No one never knew what she may look like at any given moment.

“When I left them they were looking at a new place that apparently no one seems to have never heard of other than Draco.” She tried to not say that to loudly.

Mrs. Weasley tried desperately to not show her horror when she heard this bit of information.

“Ma’am, Draco isn’t the man he once was years ago. He has devoted his life to making things right that his family has destroyed.” Daisy could see the worry in everyone’s face. She was use to the looks that people often got when the name Malfoy was mentioned.

“I’m sorry Daisy, it’s just hard to believe that a Malfoy could possibly be on our side.” Mrs. Weasley hated to make her feel like they didn’t believe that he had changed. “I’m trying really.”

“Hopefully one day everyone will see that he is really wanting to be a better man. And I can understand all your concerns.” She sat back trying to get as comfortable as possible.

*************************************************************

“Lucius Malfoy!” Harry hissed.

“Oh, Narcissa, he remembers me.” Lucius said mocking the voice of a giddy schoolgirl. “Good to know it will be the last thing he remembers.”

Harry and Ron simultaneously stepped in front of the girls as Neville and Seamus both flanked them on either side.

“Gallant and brave to the end, heh Potter. You Gryffindor’s always did like to play the hero.” Lucius smirked.

Ron’s face turned crimson with rage. “More than we can say for you, Malfoy.”

Lucius turned his wand to the irate red-head. “hmp, you Weasley’s are by far the worse of them all. You have been blessed with a pure-blood line, however you deem it necessary to step out on your own kind. Shame.”

“If by disassociating myself with the likes of you means I am stepping out on the race then so be it.” Ron’s eyebrows were furrowed so tight you could no longer distinguish where one stopped and the other began.

Lucius ignored the statement made by Ron. “Longbottom, I would have thought you would have learned who would best benefit you. Your parents were obviously to stupid to know the way to keep themselves out of St. Mungo’s.”

Neville clenched his fist around his wand wanting desperately to hex him. “Although my parents are in St. Mungo’s, they are still better people than you could ever think of being.”

“It’s seems Longbottom has grown a backbone.” Lucius cackled.

“You’re damn right, and give me the sign and I’ll prove it even further.” Neville didn’t care what anyone thought anymore.

“Don’t Neville, he’s trying to get to you.” Ron told him. “He’s the empty-headed, moron.”

“Why you ignorant mudblood lover. Say goodbye, Weasley…Ava…”

“Expelliarmus!”

Lucius and Narcisaa both flew into the rock wall. Both were struggling to see their attacker. Ron and Harry dared not move. They couldn’t take the chance of being hit by a stray spell from a wand happy vigilante.

Lucius looked up into the eyes of his attacker. “Draco, my son, you’ve come to help me.”

“That’s where you’re wrong.” Draco stood tall, shoulders square, and for the first time in his life he faced the man who had terrorized him his whole life, unafraid. “You are as delusional as Voldemort was for thinking that he was the greatest Sorcerer in the world. You, I am happy to say, are now the property of the Aurors and the Ministry of Magic.”

Mad-Eye quickly performed a binding curse on the two that lie flat on their backs. “I take it back, Draco.” Was all that Mad-Eye said.

“Oh darling, how could you do this to your mother?” Narcissa spoke softly.

“The same way you two sold me out for Voldemort. He was always the most important thing to you anyways. You can join him for all I care.” He turned his back leaving them to Mad-Eye. He also wanted desperately to hide the tears that had begun to form in his eyes. Although he resented and hated them for what they had done they were still his parents.

“In here,” Charlie yelled as he dashed into the room. “We heard all the yells.” He said as he looked around at the people standing and lying about in the room. Fred and George fought to be the first through the door. George took a deep breathe. “See I told you I smelled them.”

“Oh, shut up! So your part dog.” Fred scolded.

Ron’s face had gone blank and his eyes glared at Draco. He walked to him and held out a hand. “Thank you, Draco.” He swallowed hard, never believing he would have ever said those words in his life.

“I owe you more, I owe you all more, and I should thank you.” He smiled.

************************************************************************

“Mrs. Weasley.” Daisy said as she sat beside the mother of all mothers.

“Yes, dear.” She replied in her loving voice.

“I’m not feeling so well.”

Mrs. Weasley noticed her pale skin and deep set eyes.

Daisy placed both hands on her protruding belly and winced slightly. “I think it is time.”
“Oh my,” Mrs. Weasley jumped to her feet and addressed Susan. “Get Madam Pomphrey please.”

Professor McGonagall turned from her position of talking with Oliver in front of the fireplace. Oliver’s eyes were the size of galleons and he himself began to turn pale. “I should leave.”

“Nonsense, we’ll need you to help us get her upstairs.”

“Professor, I’m not good with these things.” He looked awfully weak.

“Snap out of it Wood! You are a Gryffindor, now act like it.” She scolded just like he was back in class.

“Yes ma’am.” He quickly scooped up the petite woman and followed Mrs. Weasley up the stairs to the first available room.

Professor McGonagall half grinned. “Well, I daresay, this will be a first for Gryffindor tower.”

Harry lifted Ginny’s weak body and began to carry her back out of the underwater pit. She wrapped both arms around his neck and buried her face under his chin. She couldn’t be happier than to be engulfed with the emotions that ran through her body. She was safe, yet again, and the man she loved was their protecting her again.

Ron followed close behind Harry. He too, had opted to carry the love of his life out of the lair. Everyone hovered close ensuring the girls were okay.

Mad-Eye was joined by Remus and Mr. Weasley and they all escorted the captured Malfoy’s out of the hiding place.

“That was a brave thing you did back there Draco.” Neville said trying to make him feel better about what he had to do.

“No, it was the right thing.” He dropped his head as he walked on and felt Neville pat his shoulder. He didn’t deserve any of the support he was receiving from all of them. If he could only turn back time.

Everyone’s attention was soon on Ron and Hermione. It hadn’t taken long, they were at it again.

“I’m perfectly fine. I can walk Ron.” Hermione insisted as she tried to wiggle her way to her feet.

It wasn’t much of a struggle of Ron. “You are going to stay still and let me carry you if I have to put a binding curse on you.”

“Is that so? Wouldn’t that make for a lovely headline? One of the Ministries top Aurors putting a binding curse on his VERY soon to be wife just minutes after her rescue from dark wizards. I should pop you square in the nose.”

Draco winced. “Watch it Ron. She’s got a killer of a right. Trust me.”

Ron laughed and finally gave in to Hermione. “Fine, you try to do something nice and these women don’t want you to be. Doesn’t make any sense to me.” He began to sulk.

“Oh for the love of Merlin. Here…pick me up if you must.” She tried jumping into his arms. “No…it’s too late. The moment has passed.” He threw his chin in the air and crossed his arms in front of him.

Ginny laughed as did the others. “Look, Ron’s feelings are hurt.”

“Okay, okay, okay. Now that you all have a great laugh at my expense can we go and get some sleep. We do have a wedding tomorrow.”

“Let’s go.” Ginny sprang from Harry’s arms and grabbed Hermione. They had arranged to spend the last evening of their single lives in a room together. This also allowed them to follow the tradition of not seeing the groom before the wedding.

“Not so fast.” Harry protested. “If you think you two are getting out of our sight your crazy.”

“But it’s tradition.” She tried reasoning with him.

“That’s just to bloody bad!” Ron screamed. “Tradition or no tradition, besides it’s after midnight. Technically it is your wedding day.”

“We still have a case of Firewhiskey waiting on us.” Seamus declared.

“You have got to be kidding me?” Harry half laughed. “A butterbeer would knock me out right now.”

“Well I don’t know about anyone else, but I ready to just relax and get married.” Hermione said as she took Ron’s hand and coming to the castle doors.

************************************************************************

Madam Pomfrey came into the common room looking about to find her patient. Just as she did so Oliver had came back into the common room from the staircase looking a bit faint.

He shook his head. “I’ve never seen anything like it.” He looked at Madam Pomfrey, his eyes very glassy.

“Where are they Oliver?” She tried stirring him from his zombie-like state.

He pointed up the staircase. “First door on the right.”

She dashed off whispering under her breath. “I tell you. Men are supposed to be so tough. Wimps I tell you.”

Tonks laughed out loud at Oliver and went up stairs as well. “Watch the portrait hole, will you? I’m going up too.”

“Sure thing” He sat in the first available chair.

************************************************************************
Mrs. Weasley along with Professor McGonagall tried their best to make Daisy comfortable. Cho, Angelina and Fleur stood back to let them work.

“I hope Draco makes it here in time.” Daisy said through gritted teeth as a tear fell from her cheek.

“Don’t you worry a bit; they’ll find the girls and be back soon enough.” Mrs. Weasley was trying to convince herself as well as Daisy.

Daisy laid her head back and quickly began to think about her life before coming here. She knew she was special, although she didn’t know how special. Her parents had fled the wizarding world and swore their daughter wouldn’t live amongst the very people who had betrayed them. No one knew their secret. Not even Draco. Once she found out the truth she left her family to find out what was so horrible about the world they had left behind.

Soon after leaving behind the ’muggle life’ she came across Draco. Accidentally finding out what he was she knew it was fate that had brought her to him. She knew she had found the key to her past, present, and future. She was now happier than she had ever been in her life.

“Oh myyy!” Daisy’s eyes shot open as the pain came harder.

“Daisy, honey, these babies are coming now. They are in quite a hurry.” Madam Pomfrey prepared the supplies for the sudden deliveries.

Cho, Angelina, and Susan decided it was time for them to leave. “We’ll go to keep Oliver company and watch for Draco.” Angelina offered a quick explanation and they disappeared out the door.

************************************************************************

“Ron, would you put that wand away before you take someone’s eye out.” Hermione rolled her eyes at his formal guardsman like conduct. “We are inside the castle.”

“You never know.” He defended himself.

“I really think that it was only them Ron.” Draco reassured him. “If their had been more they would have been in the cave as well. Power in numbers is their motto.”

Harry ad his wand out as well, as did the rest of the crowd. Ron had just made it so obvious. As they turned the corridor leading back to the Gryffindor House common room they all were startled by Crookshanks walking towards them. Ron turned knocking over the armor standing nearby.

“Good going Ron.” Fred teased. “That was going to get us.”

George continued the teasing of his little brother. “Do we have to remind you about your wand from second year? Every time you held it up it went limp.”

The whole lot of them nearly cracked their ribs from laughter and Ron scowled at his brothers while turning beet red. “You aren’t funny”

“Popular opinion says otherwise.” Fred assured him.

Harry opened the portrait hole and led the group in and immediately was bombarded by voices. Oliver was the first to meet them.

“I had to carry Daisy up to her room. She’s having the babies, I think.” His eyes had lost their glossy look.

Draco shoved his way through the bunch of them. “Move!” He dashed up the stairs two at a time to get to his wife.

“Hasn’t changed, has he?” Oliver snarled.

“Actually mate, he has.” Harry and Ron sat on the sofa near the fireplace as Seamus insisted that they take the fire whiskey he offered each of them.

************************************************************************

“How is she?” Hermione asked the ladies.

“She’s fine, but what about you two?” Angelina asked surprised they all acted like their disappearance was no big deal.

Hermione and Ginny quickly explained what had happened just as Remus and Mr. Weasley stepped into the room.

“Mad-Eye has taken care of the Azkaban’s newest residents.” Mr. Weasley announced. “He’ll be here in time for the wedding.”

They all turned to the cries they heard coming from up the stairs. Professor McGonagall appeared with a wide smile that they had seldom seen on her face.

“They are here. Two. One boy and one girl. Just one minute and you may all visit the proud parents.” She wiped her brow. “I’m turning in. This has been one eventful night.” As she came to the door she turned addressing them all. “Keep an eye on them two as we need them for the wedding later.”

************************************************************************

Draco sat on the edge of the bed next to his wife holding one of the babies. Daisy held the other and they both looked as happy as any two people could be. Watching the love that permeated from Draco you would never know what kind of person he had once been. He leaned into his wife and kissed her gently before kissing the baby that lay in her arms.

Mrs. Weasley and Madam Pomfrey stood back as a quite knock came from the door. “Ready for visitors?” Mrs. Weasley asked before allowing the crowd to enter.

“That’s up to mum here.” Draco smiled at Daisy.

“Of course. We can’t keep them all to ourselves.”

Mrs. Weasley opened the door wide allowing the crowd that had accumulated outside to enter. “Mind your voices.” She reminded them as well.

As the babies were passed around Harry was the first to ask what everyone else was wondering. “What are their names?”

Draco watched with great caution as Fred took one of the children. “Well, we’ve given that a lot of thought. First of all we decided to name our son after a strong person that doesn’t let anything get them down. And our daughter after a person that has been truly compassionate towards not only us but others.” He looked directly at Harry when he said the last sentence. “Granger and Winnie.”

The room looked in awe as Hermione was for the first time in her life speechless.

Daisy decided it was her turn to add to her husband’s speech. “Since coming here, you two were the first to accept us. You allowed Draco to prove who he really was and I am and will always be grateful.”

Madam Pomfrey interrupted once rounds were made. “I think the babies and their mum need rest now. Everyone out…now”

************************************************************************

In the common room Hermione walked up to Ron who was holding a fresh firewhiskey and tiptoed to reach his ear. “I’m gong to bed. Are you going to join me?”

It didn’t take him thinking twice. He dropped the bottle to the nearest table and quickly followed her upstairs.

Ginny had the same idea. “I guess I’m going to bed too. I sure would hate to be kidnapped again.” She said louder than usual.

Harry obviously got the hint and jumped to his. “I am sorry but that will not happen again.”

“This party is breaking up to quickly.” Seamus protested.

Lavender was, of course, listening to all and decided he wasn’t all that bad. “Seamus, dear, I’ve missed you.”

Being a few sheets to the wind Seamus agreed. “Me too. I’m sorry for everything I’ve said to you.”

“Give me a bloody break” Charlie laughed. “Someone save the poor man.”

“Are you kidding? This could be funny.” George boomed.

“These two have made life exciting. Let’s see how things go tomorrow.” Fred yawned.

“Tired?” Draco asked Daisy as she laid the sleeping child into the bassinet that Mrs. Weasley conjured up for them.

“Yeah, but I don’t care. It’s good to know that they are where they belong.” She smiled at the blonde children.

“So are you.” Draco assured her.

“Now” She included.

“That’s all that matters. You were always a wizard by birth. You just had to find your way back.” He lay next to her cuddling her in his arms.

Daisy closed her eyes thinking that he just didn’t know how hard it was for her to find her way back. She decided that he would have to know. Just not now. But soon.

A/N Thanks to those of you who have continued to read and review. Sorry that it has taken so long to update. I have thought hard aout what to include. (Especially with the Daisy story.) So I have decided to write a prequel about her and Draco. Hope you ehjoy this chapter. thanks again.

Scarlet and Gold

Mrs. Weasley burst into the common room of Gryffindor Tower and began the attempt to wake the few that had failed to make it to their rooms. “Honestly,” She muttered. “You would think they had been raised by wolves.”

She picked up an empty fire whiskey bottle delicately by the neck with her thumb and forefinger and scrunched her nose in disgust. Using the wand in her other hand she poked Fred on the shoulder.

“Get up!” She yelled. “The whole lot of you. It seems you’ve quite the mess to pick up.”

Not one of them moved so much as a hair. She raised her wand above her head and with a very large wave, possibly the biggest set of cymbals in the world appeared. With a quick flick they slammed into one another causing a clash that could have possibly cracked the mirror over the fireplace.

George jumped as he slid from his lounging position in one of the chairs to the floor with a very large ‘thud’.

“Well, good to see you’re up dear.” Mrs. Weasley said with a smile. “Now,” she turned facing Fred and Lee Jordan. “You boys have all of ten minutes to get this room cleaned up.”

Fred rubbed his eyes and yawned. “Wha…why…”

Mrs. Weasley turned abruptly. “This room looks like one of your filibuster ton wheezes blew up in here.”

George laughed. “Uh, Mum, I think you mean…”

“You know very well what I mean. And if you know what’s good for you my son, you will get up and CLEAN!!!” She didn’t wait for a response but turned, rushing back up the staircase.

Lee began teasing. “You better get off your bloody bums and get crackin’”

“What do you mean YOU? As I recall you were here with us.” Fred corrected.

“Mum?” Rose said softly as she poked her head around the door of Ron and Hermione’s room as she knocked. “Are you in there? Can I come in?”

“Come in dear.” Hermione invited. She was sitting at the vanity in her bathrobe with a towel wrapped around her hair. “What is it honey?”

“Do I really have to walk down the aisle?” She asked with a worried look.

Hermione looked at the anguish on her daughter’s face and wondered what could have possibly changed her mind. “Darling, just two days ago you excited about it. Why do you now not want to?”

The little girl didn’t speak for a moment as she tried to remain calm. Just as she began to speak her chin quivered and her eyes glassed over. She then wailed. “I don’t want to marry P.J.”

Ron entered the room and rushed to his daughter’s side.

Hermione smiled at Rose taking her hand. “Rose, where did you ever get an idea like that?”

Rose tried to regain her composure as much as any little girl could under the circumstances. “Cash said that when a girl and boy walked down the aisle together at wedding then they were married.”

She gulped deep as she bit her bottom lip. “And I have to walk with P.J. I don’t want to marry P.J.”

Ron furrowed his brow. “And what made you think the little nutter was right, sweetheart?”

Hermione quickly glanced at Ron. “Ronald Bilius Weasley, don’t you say that about Cash. He’s your nephew.”

“What?” He shrugged his shoulders at her. “It’s a right better name than what my brothers called me.”

“So that makes it okay? Honestly Ron, you were children.” She huffed.

“What do you mean? Charlie called me a bloody pillock just last night.”

“Ron! Watch what you say. Rose isn’t some prisoner up in Azkaban. She doesn’t need to hear things like that.”

Rose obviously forgetting about her problem began scolding her father as well. “Daddy, Grams will take a bar of soap after you for saying that.” She crossed her arms in front of her as to make it final.

Ron grinned at the sight. Aside from the fire-red hair, Rose was identical to Hermione. Good for her, bad for him. He was definitely going to have to watch her. She might end up with some bloke like him. She was independent and if she ever heard half of what he, Hermione, and Harry had done growing up she would most definitely be trying them as well.

“Okay, I’m sorry darling. Daddy will watch what he says more carefully. I promise.” He knelt beside her to hug the precious little girl.

“I won’t hold my breath Daddy. You just said that last week.” She wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him while kissing his cheek. “That’s okay,” She said patting his shoulder. “Boys don’t know better. Aunt Angelina says they have s…s…selective memory.” And as if nothing was ever wrong she dashed out the door.

Ginny stirred a bit as she awoke and soon remembered where she was and what day it was. She felt the weight of something on her stomach and as she opened her eyes and once focused she saw Harry beside her with an arm flung over her. As long as he had been home she should be getting use to having him next to her by now. She just didn’t want to get use to the kidnappings and tortures. Last night had been enough to drive any person mad, but to them it had become a habit. A habit she was hoping to break.

Ginny knew she had to get moving. There were so many things that had to be done in order for her to be presentable enough to walk down the aisle in front of no telling how many people. But as she looked at Harry she couldn’t bring herself to move. He was so peaceful. It wasn’t very often that Harry seemed relaxed. She was hoping that would soon change.

Harry soon began to become restless and opened his eyes wide and searched for his glasses on the nightstand so as he would be able to see properly. Ginny smiled at his clumsiness as he knocked a teacup to the floor.

“Bloody hell.” He whispered, thinking Ginny was still sleeping.

“Tut tut Harry.” Ginny teased. “Is that a way to begin our wedding day?”

“How long have you been awake?” He turned back to her wrapping both arms around her.

“Long enough to enjoy the sight of you sleeping.” She stretched to kiss him quickly.

“Let me bid you a good morning properly.” He leaned to her kissing her deeply not wanting to remove himself from that spot.

“Are you ready to give up the single life? This is it you know.” She teased, brushing the hair from his eyes.

“I’m more ready today than yesterday. What I felt last night while you were missing I never want to feel again.” He ran the back of his hand down her cheek. “You are what I have always needed.”

Ginny threw both arms around his neck and pulled him to her, burying her face into the nape of his neck. “I need you too Harry.”

Although her words were muffled Harry understood perfectly what she had said.

************************************************************************

The common room of Gryffindor Tower hadn’t seen this much excitement since the last time it had won the Quidditch cup. Members of the Weasley family stood about in their matching dress robes waiting anxiously for the time to begin. The men wore the most brilliant shade of scarlet. Ron had objected, saying that it resembled the maroon colour of his Christmas sweaters that he had received every year for as long as he could remember. Hermione and Ginny ignored his protest and went on as they wished. The ladies were wearing robes of glittering gold. Harry of course brought it to their attention that the robes looked a lot like the snitches he had spent years chasing. Ginny teased saying that at least his attention would stay on the ceremony and not off thinking about the Ministry and their next job.

Harry and Ron soon appeared in the door dressed in robes of jet black. Both tugged at their collars looking extremely nervous.

Ron, you might want to breathe.” Bill suggested “That shade of purple isn’t quite your colour.”

“Shove off Bill.” Ron groaned. “I don’t need your grief.”

Fred couldn’t resist. “Well, purple is the colour of royalty. King Weasley.”

“Shut up Fred.” Angelina ordered. “Not today.”

“Yeah, not today.” George agreed. “Ickle bitty Ronnie’s getting married.”

“That’s enough.” Mr. Weasley stepped in to stop the ridicule that this family had obviously enjoyed bestowing on its other members.

Professor McGonagall appeared dressed in her finest robes. “The guests are all in place and awaiting the arrival of the wedding party.”

Harry rubbed his hands together trying desperately to stop them from feeling so clammy. Everything moved in slow motion and he leaned to Ron as he tried to regain his balance.

“You okay there mate?” Ron asked taking the back of Harry’s arm.

“Yeah.” He smiled. “I’ll be even better in a couple of hours.”

“Me too.” Ron agreed.

“Okay, everyone to the corridor. The girls will be right down.” Mrs. Weasley announced shooing them all out.

Draco and Daisy sat comfortably on the sofa with two cradles close by them. “Good luck guys.” Draco said quickly.

“You both look stunning.” Daisy added.

“Whether you believe it or not, I would really like to be there.” Draco told them.

“You know Draco; I never thought I would be saying this. But I do believe you.” Harry assured him.

Once everyone outside of Draco and Daisy had cleared the room Mr. Weasley called up the stairs to rush the two brides along. “Come along you two. They’re ready for you.”

A/N I am sorry for the wait. Since beginning another fic I have had to split my time up between them both. Enjoy!!!

A/N bogus/danielle could you please take a look, this story has been waiting validation since Friday...

Love Is

Hermione and Ginny stood on either side of Mr. Weasley waiting patiently for the grand double doors that led into the Great Hall to open. They both shook with extreme nervousness but not nearly as much as Mr. Weasley. This was it. The last of his children were getting married. Although only two were his by blood, he felt as though he were loosing four. Harry and Hermione had been such a large part of their family since their first days at Hogwarts how could he not feel that way about them. They were technically orphans and his family was all they had left. He was proud to call them his children as well; however the hair did set them apart.

Hermione held her head high and thought back to the moment she stepped onto that bright scarlet train destined for Hogwarts. She had always thought that was the moment her life had begun. She then remembered having the same feeling after giving birth to Rose. Now, she was about to embark on yet another experience that would be embedded into her memories of milestones. Each of those precious memories had one thing in common. Ronald Weasley. Once this day was over she would be able to continue to make memories with the one she had always loved.

Ginny, that youngest of the Weasley children, wanted nothing more than to sprint down the aisle to Harry’s side. Being the first Weasley girl in several generations, she had always been expected to do well. And Harry was the one that had managed to help her do that. She couldn’t have done better if she had conjured the perfect man from an ancient love potion. The first time she saw him on platform 9 ¾ she had no idea that he was the famous Harry Potter. However she knew he was special. Loving Harry had been hard, but from this forward it was going to be a cauldron cake walk. Or at least she hoped it would.

The doors were opened by Dobby and Winky each in matching tea cozies and pillow cases sporting lovely socks matching the décor of the room. Winky had finally came around and agreed that she too could be happy as a free house elf. The Great Hall was nothing short of amazing. Fairy lights twinkled, cascading dim light upon the majestic scarlet banners that were hung throughout the room. Half were monogrammed with large H’s and G’s, while the other half were monogrammed with R’s and H’s. Shimmering gold silk was draped over anything standing still. The guest all stood and turned to face the ladies of the day. The hall could not have possibly held another soul unless there had been balcony seats added to the room. Smiles flashed around the room and gasps flowed from each person there.

Professor McGonagall cued the music and the time had come. Professor Dumbledore stood majestically at the head of the room with Ron and Harry on his left. As the ghost floated above the crowd the music softly permeated the room and the ladies began their last walk as maidens. The faces of Ron and Harry glistened with perspiration obviously caused from the emotional breakdown that the both of them felt they were about to have.

Mr. Weasley straightened himself. “Here we go ladies.” He whispered as they made their way to the front of the hall. Hermione caught sight of Rose who smiled a toothy grin at her. She stood alongside the bridesmaid who were none other than the Weasley wives; Fleur, Cho, Penelope, Angelina and Susan. On the opposite side stood P.J. alongside Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred and George. She then locked glances with HIM, the love of her life, Ron Weasley. He smiled his infamous crooked smile and winked.

Professor Dumbledore beamed with pride as if they were his own children as they approached and waited for the onlookers to be seated. “Who gives these women to be married to these young men?”

Mr. Weasley swallowed the lump in his throat and managed. “Molly and I do.”

He then first leaned and kissed Ginny’s cheek and placed her hand in Harry’s and shook Harry’s free hand. He then turned to Hermione kissing her as well and placed her hand in Ron’s, and shaking his freehand. He wheeled himself around slowly and found his place next to Mrs.Weasley who was minding the other children.

“Before we begin…” Professor Dumbledore erupted. “I would like to pay a few words.” He bowed his head, cleared his throat and again looked around the room. “I have watched these two couples before us today grow into fine young adults. From the first time I saw them I knew they were destined for a miraculous life. They have always known just what the other needed in order to go on.” He again paused with a grin. “It was fate that brought them together. They have laughed, cried, and celebrated in these halls together and as they did so I was right there with them the whole way. And I am here to say that it was an honor and privilege.

Ginny looked at Harry who had a small glimmer of a tear in his eye. She squeezed his hand in a silent comfort.

“I always feel my students are my extended family. And the Weasley family has always made me feel welcome and allowed me to enjoy their good and bad times. I am titillated that they have asked me to celebrate with them today as well.”

The traditional vows went by without a loss of a tear, but be that as it may, now was their chance to say what they felt in their hearts.

“Mr. Weasley, would you begin?” Dumbledore glanced at Ron gently, feeling his anxiety.

Ron nervously took Hermione’s hands in his, clearing his throat, dug in deep for the courage to make it through. “Hermione, from the day I met you I thought you were an insufferable know it all.”

Chuckles permeated from around the room. “You said it.” George shouted before thinking and quickly closed his mouth as Mrs. Weasley peered through him as though she could strike him dead right there.

“And” Ron stressed. “After getting to know you I was proven correct.” Hermione was just about to lose all control when he smiled and continued. “However, that one quality saved our necks more times than I care to count and during those times I learned that you were more than brains. You were the one to keep my in line, test my weaknesses and love me.” He lost himself in her glassy eyes with the thought that he was nearly home free. “So, I will spend the rest of our lives returning the favor.”

Ron let out a silent breath and kissed Hermione’s cheek. He wiped a single tear from the other cheek and nodded, sending her the cue to begin.

“Ron, I spent out time at Hogwarts evaluating and analyzing your faults and quirks and during that time I complained and corrected.” She smiled nervously and continued. “However, the long amount of time we spent apart made me miss those quirks and yearn for them again. Now that we are together again I promise to never correct your quirkiness again.”

A smirk fell upon Ron’s face. “I’ll remember that.” Quiet snickers popped throughout the Great Hall.

“I’m sure you will.” Hermione quietly retorted.

“I’d get it in writing.” Said a voice from the groomsmen’s direction but who said it was unclear.

“Very good.” Professor Dumbledore chimed as he turned his attention to the other couple. “Miss Weasley, if you will.”

Ginny looked into the depths of Harry’s green eyes and filled herself with inspiration.

“Harry, from the first time I laid eyes on you at Platform 9 ¾ I became infatuated with you and later I was mesmerized by your strength, physical and emotional. I saw in you the yearning to be loved, and I couldn’t help but want to give you the love that you deserved. You treated me like I was an important part of your life. And for that reason I will love you for eternity.” Ginny tried to remain strong and not lose control at this point.

Harry lifted his hand to Ginny and pushed a stray hair from her face, making her eyes more visible. “Ginny, I watched you grow into a strong young lady that I couldn’t ignore. You, along with your entire family, has accepted me and taught me a few things along the way. As you all well know I didn’t grow up under the best of circumstances.” Harry turned slightly and caught the eyes of Mrs. Weasley. Tears were flowing freely down her cheeks and the handkerchief she had couldn’t wipe them fast enough. “You have taught me love is knowing that in your darkest hour there are those who care. Love is doing something wrong and being forgiven. And Ginny love is waking every morning to you.” He kissed Ginny gently and nodded to Professor Dumbledore signaling his completion.

“Very well put everyone. Gentlemen, would you please kiss your brides?”

The couples tactfully exchanged loving kisses and sweet smiles and turned their attention back to their former professor.

“May I be the first to present to you Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Weasley and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Potter.” The couples turned and the room erupted into a roar of hoops and whistling. ‘Way to go Ron and way to go Harry’ was yelled sporadically around the room. The newlyweds weren’t given the chance to walk back down the aisle. They were bombarded with a roomful of well wishers.

***

Once the room was cleared of the chairs the guest were able to move about freely. One large table was left and the largest wedding cake imaginable was placed at its center waiting to be devoured. Fountains of Gillywater and Elderflower wine were on either end of the long table with bits of appetizing snacks in between. Bottles of Firewhiskey and Red Currant Rum also sat amongst the refreshments. A punchbowl full of pumpkin juice sat alongside a platter full of sweets that had been covered in children almost immediately.

Mr. and Mrs. Weasley joined the rest of the now complete Weasley family and presented something to both of the new couples. “We knew that you had planned on waiting on opening gifts until later, however we would like you to have these now.” Mrs. Weasley smiled placing the gifts upon the tables in front of them all.

Hermione and Ginny took the honor of opening the boxes. Smiles feel upon their faces. “Mum, I have always hoped that this would be something you would give us.” Ginny hugged both of her parents and then showed the contents of the box to Harry.

“Oh how lovely.” Hermione gasped. “I now feel like a true Weasley.”

The ladies held up the boxes to show what they had been presented with. Clocks identical to the very one that hung in the Weasley’s house for so many years. One clock had hands reading Ron, Hermione and Rose and the other with hands reading Harry and Ginny.

“And as need be we can add the hands along the way.” Mrs. Weasley informed them.

Ron rolled his eyes. “I hope you aren’t expecting them to have as many hands as the original.”

***
Once every guest had their fill of cake and refreshments Remus stood at the head of the hall and tried getting the attention of the room. “Excuse me if you will…” He said more than once. “I would like to end this lovely celebration with a toast so that the newlyweds may get on with their honeymoons.” He held his glass high and he was soon followed by the entire room. “I had always known that this day would come. And it lay heavy on my heart as to what I would say. I have grown so attached to these young people that I feel like they are my own.” He looked into Harry’s eyes wanting to say just the right thing. “I made a promise to my friends that I would, to the best of my ability, see that their son was a happy man. I often wished that I could have taken their place so they would see this day.”

“Remus” Harry choked.

“Wait Harry, let me get through here. This is hard enough.” He stopped as he searched for the right words. “Ron and Hermione, you have made Harry and great friend. Without you two he may well have not made it this far. He is one lucky man.” Smiling at Ginny he continued on. “Ginny, watching you and Harry together has made me think of James and Lily. You will never know how much you are like them, James the fearless and Lily his protector.”

The hall erupted in cheers.

Remus lifted his voice once more and made one last statement before the departure of the couples. “And in the words of my dear friends I will end by saying, Life Goes On.”

A/N And there it is...thanks to all that have read and encouraged me. I really appreciate it.
