Woes of a Harry/Hermione shipper

“Potter & Granger romance!”
To that line I simply could dance.
With my fellow shippers,
I’d feasted on kippers
And scorned other ships with a glance.

For us, h & h was in sooth.
The r & h ships were uncouth!
We dismissed their facts
As desperate acts
To lead us away from the truth.

But then there came Potter-Book six!
I thought that my eyes had played tricks!
I read through the book
And went off the hook
And gave my room door a few kicks.

In rage, my IQ tumbled down.
I yelled, running madly through town:
“It’s Weasley and Granger!”
“Oh, what could be stranger?”
…I made a remarkable clown.

And then to a throbbing right toe,
I recounted my tales of woe
While, from the top floor,
I could hear the roar
Of circus recruiters below.

My feelings of shock had gone far;
I’d almost jumped under a car!
But then I said “stuff it!”
“There is nothing to it!”
“I’ll still always love JKR!”
