Arithmancy

My number chart spreads gloriously across the parchment on the table
It’s taken hours of working just as carefully as I’m able.
Now, studying it closely, one pattern stands apart
That configuration of sevens creates a perfect heart!
A scream of delight escapes me before I realize--
There could not be a better sight to my work-wearied eyes.
I quickly check my work and know for sure it’s true
My heart number matches the one with eyes of blue!
When a girl can’t trust her heart about really liking a guy
It’s nice to have confirmation–numbers never lie.
