Heaven is 'Always Pure'

“You’re a Black?” He said, as I scribbled my name,
“I’ve heard it’s in your house that purity’s fame.”
I smiled, gave a wink, as he opened the door,
“Alas,” I replied. “ ‘Tis with me no more.”

“How is this?” He enquired, as He walked with me slow,
“I gave it all up, so the family let go.”
“Abandoned, deserted, and all for a label?
When your wizarding powers are all good and able?”

“That’s right,” I replied, as we walked further still,
“They ignored me, I ran, and then came the kill.”
“The kill?” He was shocked,
“Then what brings you up here?”
“Innocence, Lord, but no absence of fear.”

He sighed thankful; my fate was decided so true,
“I can picture them now, all disputing of you.”
“ I agree,” then I nodded, the image so clear,
Narcissa calls Draco, and says, “Sit down, dear.”

“You’ve heard rumours, the whispers are running amok,
That that dirty old traitor belongs to our flock.”
“They are false,” she denies. “He is not one of us.”
“ A Black never remains when they betray your trust.”

So it is, that I say, a mark I got rid,
A prison I fled, from the view that I hid.
Grimmauld was mine, though I hated it so,
The denouncement, I thought back, it made me so low.

The escape from the weaving, that flows from the wall,
“Yet your death so untimely, occurred from a fall?”
“Indeed it is so,” I remarked as I lay,
The ‘Toujours Pur’, to keep Mudbloods away.

That tag I eloped from, unsure I could float,
To this last resting place, where I hang up my coat.
