Harry woke with a start. Light was already flowing in from the one window in Ron's bedroom. Harry looked over at Ron to see if he had awakened yet.

Snoring as usual, Harry thought with a chuckle.

He quietly stood up and walked over to the window. Outside he could see flowers covering almost every inch of the Weasley's garden. But the flowers weren't the only thing that caught his attention. Standing next to Hermione on the ground below was Ginny Weasley.

She seems to be enjoying herself, he thought to himself as he noticed her laugh with Hermione.

****************************************

What he couldn’t tell, though Hermione could, was that her laugh was forced. She was still recovering from their breakup at Dumbledore’s funeral just months prior.

“It’s just so hard to move on. I mean, I had waited almost five years for him. I always knew he was the one I wanted to be with for the rest of my life.” Ginny explained to Hermione, “I just never thought he’d dump me to go fight in the war.”

“Oh. Ginny! Don’t you see why he did it? He cares about you so much and he wants you to be safe; he wants you to be waiting for him when he returns. It was hard enough for him to go to Dumble-… the funeral... he's just trying to...sort things out, but he loves you! I wish I had that.” Hermione tried but failed to get her point across.

“Don’t you see my brother is CRAZY for you?” Ginny couldn’t help but laugh, “You are the only thing he talks about! It’s a bit annoying.”

Hermione couldn’t help but giggle at her friend's attempts.

“Well, we should probably get ready. The wedding starts in four hours.

*******************************************

“Why did I breakup with her? Now I am miserable and she’s over me.”

“Harry calm down, she’s not over you. She has barely come out of her room once since we arrived home and when she does come out it’s to drag mum up there. You can hear her crying and asking herself where she went wrong from my room. It’s so horrible the only time she is not crying is when the rest of the family is home. She thinks she's too old to cry in front of them......” Ron paused to take a breath and glanced up to catch Harry’s reaction from his little speech, it didn't seem too have helped much, "She loves you."
That seemed to draw Harry out of his trance.

“Maybe today I can fix my mistakes. What do you think?” Harry said.

Ron wasn’t sure what Harry meant, Harry hadn't done anything wrong. When in doubt Ron decided a nod of his head would work.

Harry was thinking long and hard about what Ron had said?

“Did she really lock herself in her room? I can’t believe I did that to her! I am so stupid.”

“Harry I understand why you did it. It’s fine I’m just overreacting. It’s anything but your fault. But you're not wrong about being stupid" Ginny added sarcastically. Her voice seemed to have startled Harry who had not noticed her presence.

Harry suddenly realized he had been thinking out loud. Ginny was standing right outside the door, through which Ron must have left while he was “thinking” because he was currently not in the room.

“I, uh, Ginny I am so sorry for what I did. I just wanted to protect you, but when I think of how I was when we were together and how I am now we're apart, I realize I am hurting myself as much as I am hurting you. I realize that your pain makes you more vulnerable to Voldemort than when you were you were happy. I am truly sorry, can you ever forgive me.”

“First of all I have never been less vulnerable... second of all....I think I can as long as you kiss me once more… for old times sake.”

Harry chuckled as he moved towards the red-head he loved. Once the gap between the two had closed it was a few minutes before they resurfaced. It also seemed to have been a few feet because they were now against the back wall in Harry’s room.

“Remind me why I broke up with you?”

“Because you’re this super macho guy and thought you were protecting me.”

“Oh yeah that, well-” Harry was cut off by Ginny, who had placed a finger to his lips.

“Shh. Harry I love you and I always will. You can’t change my feelings no matter how hard you try, so just let me love you.” Ginny was getting tears in her eyes, but she couldn’t break eye contact.

What if he doesn’t love me back? Oh I really shouldn’t have said that. Ginny thought.

“Well then, Ginevra Molly Weasley, will you be my girlfriend…again?” Harry hoped she would say yes it hurt too much not to be with her.

“Harry, I never thought you’d ask!”

Their bodies were touching and Harry was closing the space between their faces.

“Ginny, I love you.”

*************************************

Harry soon lost track of time and only came to his senses when Mrs. Weasley called up the stairs to say there was an hour until the wedding.

“Oh, Ginny your hair! You should probably go fix it. I, uh, would hate for it to be to obvious we were snogging, and in my room!” Harry had a bit of a panicked voice as he was thinking about what her brothers, Fred and George, would do if they found out.

“Um, right I probably should. I will have Hermione fix it, maybe if she sees we’ve gotten back together that'll inspire her and Ron!"

“I don’t know Ginny. Ron’s pretty sure she hates him.”

“Then she’ll make the first move!”

“Whatever you say Ginny. Now go!”

“Going, going, gone!” she called as she left the room.

Harry was so happy they were back together he started humming a song he had heard Dudley play two years ago. He then realized he looked a little bit of a mess and wished he was of age, but he still had a month to go.

Harry made his way to the room Hermione and Ginny shared; knowing Hermione would help him fix his wrinkled robes. He could never have asked Ron because he would be furious with the circumstances.

When Harry reached the door he started to rethink what he was doing, but finally settled on entering because he couldn’t go to a wedding with such messy robes.

“Uh, Hermione can I come in?”

The door then opened and he took it as a sign to go in.

“Hi. I well you see we… I mean I need…” Harry was at a loss of words. It was just weird telling your friend you were snogging your best friends’ sister.

“Harry it’s alright Ginny told me everything! I am so happy for the both of you! Ill just fix your robes and no one will know a thing.”

Harry looked around and noticed Ginny was not in the room. As if Hermione read Harry's mind she answered.

“Ginny is in the bathroom she should be out in a minute. There you're finished.”

Harry turned around to leave just as Ginny walked in. She was wearing pale blue robes adorned with sparkling jewels. They were not the same robes she had on earlier, those were green. Her hair was curled, pulled back and covered in hair gems.

“Wow Ginny, you look great! But, I thought what you had on earlier was what you were going to wear.”

“No Harry, they were nice but they were just for running around and getting things ready. At an hour until the wedding begins we get into our real robes.”

Harry was a bit confused but decided not to push the subject.

I guess its like at muggle weddings when they change at the church, he decided in his head.

Harry shrugged his shoulders and left the room. He headed down to see if he could help in anyway, but was stopped halfway.

“You can’t go down there. Fleur’s getting ready and it’s a mess and they’ll get mad and I just barely escaped and I need to finish this sentence.” Ron seemed really worn out and a run-on sentence didn’t help.

“Then what am I supposed to do I can’t go back to Ginny because she’s already ready.”

“Why can’t you? Are you two back together? You are? That’s wonderful! It’s about time. Now I can’t say a long enough sentence.”

“You just did.”

“Oh right. Anyways that’s great. I just wish Hermione felt the same way I do. Don’t give me that look, she doesn’t.”

“Ah! Ron you just don’t get it, do you? She's loves you. She told Ginny, who told me, who’s telling you. Go talk to her. This may be a wonderful day for everyone."

“Yeah, maybe you are right. Well, here I go, wish me luck!”
