A Change Takes Place in Hogwarts...

For thousands of years Hogwarts has stood,
a monument to what friendship can bring
as well as sad and unfortunate hatred
but is success of which I know sing.
So listen close as I share a tale
of a school once long-divided
two aspects of magic in the world
to conquer evil-it was decided.
It started many years ago
further than memory can tell
when Slytherin left his family Founders
it was then that Hogwarts fell.
Ambitious Slytherin against brave Gryffindor
Gentle Hufflepuff versus Ravenclaw of wit
Words of anger flew between them
Daggers and spells. The unkind and physical fist.
Till came the day a man arose
with the aim to unite as in days of yore
His memory lives on, though he does not
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.
For years he toiled against hatred, so unto his death
at the hand of one friend he believed to be true
don’t believe that it was Severus Snape-
it was each professor, student. You.
Hatred alone killed the Professor so loved
and only love can keep his memory alive
and so Hogwarts comes to unite once more;
that memory to keep is what we strive.

Hogwarts of old and Hogwarts of new
take heed upon my age-old warning
for centuries I Sorted into Houses four
but watch the new standard forming.
Never again shall Hogwarts stand as such,
from this point one House is all there will be
My job is done and so I give you:
the reward to Inter-House unity!
