The characters belong to Jo, I'm just taking them out for a stroll.

How did they get in;
the stupid boy thinks he
knows when he doesn’t.

Running, Panting, Confusion.

Whispers of spells
fly against me as I rush
up the stairs through the barrier.

Running, Panting, Confusion.

I halt when I come upon
the old man and
the young boy.

Panting, Confusion, Understanding.

Realization dawns
upon me as I watch
the scene unfold.

Panting, Confusion, Understanding.

Our eyes lock and
look away before the others
notice our silent communique.

Confusion, Understanding, Denial.

I know what he
wants but I know
I cannot comply.

Confusion, Understanding, Denial.

Past meetings and
midnight errands rush
into my too full mind.

Understanding, Denial, Determination.

I will not, no matter
the look in his eyes, fulfill
the request he has placed on me.

Understanding, Denial, Determination.

He pleads with me,
Please, Severus, and I know
I must acquiesce.

Acceptance.
