Return Journey by RedheadedWeasley
Author's Notes:
Sadly Harry and his friends belong not to me, but to JKRowling.
The memories I wish
I had are bombarding me
as I stand in front of you.

Picnics and days at
the park spent
happily together.

Days that never
existed are all I
have to hold to.

I looked into the
smooth surface and
there you stood beside me.

You smiled as though you knew
what was in my past and
what was held in my future.

Your eyes danced as you
twirled together held
tightly in each other's arms.

What were your thoughts
when you realized the
betrayal of a friend?

My friends have helped
me through the tasks set
before me, in your stead.

There is so much
I want to say,
I need to say.

Thank you seems so
inadequate for what
you've done, even in death.

It's for you I do
the things that are
required of me to do.

Your love is why I
came here and why
I must keep going.

Questions, so many questions
I want to ask and will
never have answers for.

Why and how are
filling my brain until
it is overflowing.

Memories I've seen
when I shouldn't've
make me wonder.

How did things turn
out so right when
they began so wrong?

Everywhere I turn
I hear the same words,
receive the same looks.

Gazes glance from my face (your face),
to my forehead (glimpsing the scar),
to my eyes (your eyes).

You look so like him
except your eyes,
you have her eyes.

I don't want his face or
her eyes. All I want is
the both of you

here
with
me.
