Sirius's Azkaban by Islander
A/N: I really had fun writing my poem “Voldemort: A Fable”, so I had to continue with another one! This time it’s a sonnet. Though this is true for very few people, I find the sonnet the easiest form of poetry to write. My sonnets always turn out better than my other poems. Of course, I’m no Shakespeare, but I was quite pleased with this all the same. It’s a sonnet from Sirius’s point of view, and it takes place sometime before PoA. Please review.

Disclaimer: Nope, I'm still not J.K. Rowling.

Sirius’s Azkaban

I once thought they’d uncover all the lies
And save me from this prison’s icy breath.
I though they heard my begging, brutal cries
Inside this isle, this dungeon dark with death.
I know they’d come, for I had done no wrong
To land myself in this deep stygian cell.
I’m innocent; I’ve known it all along”
Someone would save me from this heartless hell.
But no one ever came to end my pain
And torture in this horrid hole of black.
For they believe that I have killed those slain
And never wanted them to e’er come back.
Though once I thought that one day I’d be free,
This is my life, and will forever be.
