Thsi is a poem to go along with my story, Alone. It is written through the eyes of someone watching Nell, a bystander.

Someone help me.
I'm drowning in
Her endless sorrows.
She seems so helpless,
Fragile and young.
"Just a child" they say,
But I'm the one...
The girl who knows
She is immortal
And strong; and yet
She sheds constant tears.
And it burns through
My heart and soul
As though they were fire
Instead of drops
Of salty, painful water.
She hides her continuous
Torment well though.
I am the image
Of the torture that
She always feels within.
I show her longing
Her need to be loved.
And now I sit
Silently thinking,
‘Don't help me,
Help that girl
Who truly needs
Your love.’
