Author's Notes:

I know that the Cruciatus Curse is physical pain, but I never really imagined it as only physical pain, so I added in a little more...

A screaming, brutal fire
Burns under my skin.
I wail, I shriek,
Enduring the torture within.

Sharp, murdering lightning streaks
Race inside of me,
Tearing at my soul,
Ripping my fragile body.

Ropes braided with cruelty
Whip me mercilessly,
Splitting my flesh,
Making my delicate heart bleed.

Electricity crackles wickedly
Inside my head,
Not charging my brain with knowledge,
But killing instead.

Anguish devours me,
Boiling in my limbs,
Twirling my head in circles.
The world around me spins.

This constant, agonizing pain
Can’t be put in words.
It’s not enough to say
That it simply just hurts.

When all of it’s over,
My body is numb.
Hurtful memories are stored
In the new person I’ve become.
