I heard the song that summer’s night,
The phoenix’s sadness did affright.
And all who heard knew the total loss,
So good can conquer bad at last.

I thought that he would never die,
The strength behind the Order nigh.
But now he’s gone, we must move on,
So good can conquer bad at last.

Now winter’s here with Christmas cheer,
Memories of the past revere.
Hope gathers those with love so bright,
So good can conquer bad at last.

Those gathered for this happy day,
Know Dumbledore’s with us to stay.
And while he’s there love will prevail,
So good can conquer bad at last.
