Author's Notes:
The rhyme scheme for Limericks is as follows: AABBA

And the stressed and unstressed syllables for each line:

U S U U S U U S

U S U U S U U S

U S U U S

U S U U S

U S U U S U U S

There was a young boy with a past
So dark that he had to leave fast.
His father did scorn,
And he was forlorn,
So Severus took off at last.

Deciding to travel on forth,
He went to a school way up north.
He learned useful skills,
Went through many quills,
And then he remained there henceforth.

His knowledge of Potions immense,
Now teaching the Dark Arts Defense.
His dream is fullfilled,
To show he is skilled,
Though prizes do have their expense.

Professors who choose this their class
Are cursed by the draining hourglass.
For after the year
They soon disappear,
Their jobs taken from them alas.

And so it has happened with him.
The murder of Albus was grim.
The truth will unveil,
There’s more to his tale,
Though some say the chances are slim.

Not friendly or even polite.
I still empathize with his plight.
I hope that one day,
We’ll see his true ways,
And find out what he did was right.
