A Wizard's Take
Readin’, ‘Ritin’, ‘Rithmatic
I know the first two well
But as for pesky number three?
I don’t--but still do swell!
Who made up the sciences
That “make the world go ‘round”
Or those Muggle ‘pliances
That blare out pointless sound?
I’m fit and fine with formulas
That make a potion brew
But not those Muggle ‘quations that try
To tell you what to do
I like Potions, I like Charms
I’m still young, but I do
But those beeping things--alarms?
They scare me, how ‘bout you?
I grew up with magic
And that’s how I plan to live
But what on Earth can I do now?
I’ve found out I’m a Squib!
