A scar is there, right on your head-
Made you a hero, so we said.
You shone the brightest in our eyes,
Your life we'd sensationalize.
Of your success, stories we spread.

When things got horrid, you had led.
We knew you'd win- you still weren't dead.
More glory would soon be your prize-
A scar is there.

But then it happened, what you'd dread-
Rumors of you the Prophet fed
To us all, who accepted lies.
Who now cares if it's you who dies?
So we turned away when you bled-
A scar is there.
