Courting Death by A Cappella
Author's Notes:
This is short poem about “courting” death, from the (less than substantial) comprehension of a nineteenth century romancer from the wizarding world. I have included double meanings in many of my references, so interpret as you wish. Background knowledge of Harry Potter’s wizarding world would also be useful.

Tonight it’s only you and I
Whither shall we fly?
Upon thestral wings, into the sky?
The rain overhead does not lie”
Even I cannot deny
I heard the Augurey’s cry
