Potter, If you ever read this
Please listen and learn what’s inside.
Whilst you’ve lived your life in the open,
There were others who were forced to hide.
I’m glad you’ve defeated the Dark Lord.
I’m glad that my parents are gone.
I’ve never wanted to do this,
I knew in my heart it was wrong.
So Potter and Weasley and Granger,
This message is farewell to you,
A thanks from the heart of a stranger,
Although it is long overdue.
I hope that I’ll marry Lucinda,
A Muggle I knew as a child,
My parents, they never did like her,
Her spirit too pleasant and mild.
So thanks to the Trio, my saviours,
Without you I’d never be free,
I’m sorry for years of bad feeling,
None can regret more than me.
My father’s a cheat and a villain,
My mother’s not too far behind,
I thank you for letting me see this,
I assure you I’ve sorted my mind.
I guess that this is goodbye now,
Though I hope we’ll keep touch in some way,
I hope that you can forgive me,
If not now then at least, some day.
I’ve lost some good friends in this battle,
I know, of course, you’ve lost yours too,
So let’s build on that to improve life,
Let’s start our acquaintance anew.

My life, I live it alone,
I’ve repented the sins of my past now,
I’ve left the dark of my home.
I’m moving away to the suburbs,
To live with the love of my life,
I hope that you’ll come to my wedding,
And meet my new Muggle wife.
I wish you good luck for the future,
A painless and trouble-free time,
If you ever find need for assistance,
I’m now on the Muggle phone-line.
I’d like to hear from you Potter,
To make sure you’ve taken this well,
I know that it won’t be too easy,
Coming back from a personal hell,
But Potter, your life will be good now,
You know that this isn’t a lie,
