But you’re already gone.

I hold out believing
That one day you’ll return.

I call out breathless
Hoping to hear your response.

I look out hoping
To see your face once more.

I wish upon the stars
For time to turn back.

That we could fight together
To be an unbeatable team.

My dreams start fading
As I know it’ll never be.

I know I’m lying to myself
I know you won’t come back.

They tell me to stop dreaming
Because dreams never come true.

But still I’ll stay believing
I’ll never give up hope.

I'll wait as long as I need
For you to return to me.
