The Prayer said before a Duel

Now I stand me
Up to fight,
I pray to God
This all goes right.

If I should fail
To cast a spell,
I pray that I
Will not go to hell.

But if I do,
Do not pity me a bit.
I guess I know
That this is it.

Tell my friends
I did all I could,
And died the way
A real man should.

Now I stand me
Up to duel,
And pray I will
Not look the fool.

If I should die before I wake,
That’s one less death, I’ll have to fake.
