I look around the cellar room with care.
Darkness clouds my vision, but it's my friend.
I see the gloominess within the lair,
And my iron resolve does bend.

How will I survive this revolting place?
Water droplets roll down the mouldy walls.
It's good I can't see my horrified face.
I hear an echo in the outside halls.

Despair invades my numb mind.
I miss the Freshwater Plimpies of home.
I know all my comforts are left behind.
I allow my frightened thoughts to roam.

I then remember all my loved ones.
They light the way, like brilliant, midday, suns.
