Silence

The world
has stopped its turning
in stillness
sudden
and complete.

Horror

Around me they stand,
and I with them,
in shocked
terror,
not wanting,
not willing
to believe...

It cannot be true.

Dreading truth,
our eyes meet
with faces pale as
the early morning
sky.

He can't be gone.

Slowly,
the icy chill overtakes,
and the cold
slowly
pierces
into the center
of my heart.

I loved him so...

"NO!"

A scream
stabs the night-
unearthly wailing,
confirming
my worst
nightmare...

"Harry! HARRY!"
