The torch encompasses all by dispelling darkness
With gold and fire,
Trading the empty halls for the thunder of wealth.
And life and love.

Abandoning love ere she died, he waits, and dies
Knowing his fate is decided by winds that wail.
They give and take, and ultimately devour.
He wants and hopes, and gleans that life
Is not for living, but wasting and betraying
For what is life when empty of love and purpose?

And desire.

Desire is all, for we all desire.
By fulfilling desire we are sated.
Yet, dissatisfied, he satisfied himself with hate
and bait
and unhappiness.
And he waited.
