She sacrifices herself to save Harry and through him more people. This is told through the point of view of Ron.

Author's Notes:

This poem is a Rondeau poem. It is about the death of Hermione and is from the point of view of Ron. The second stanza is spoken by Hermione watching what Ron is going through.

You Were My Life

You were my life, what can I say
The laughter in my gloomy day.
What will I do without you there,
Without stroking your long brown hair?
From now on my life will be gray.

“From this dark path you need to stray,
Your life must have more than dismay.
I too know, that life is unfair
You were my life."

Why were you not content to stay
Where in my arms you always lay?
But, your heroics were quite rare
To challenge those two you did dare.
You did save many lives that day.
You were my life.
