Here we lay,
Side by side,
Finally resting,
Nothing to hide.
No more trouble,
No more fears,
No more worrying,
And no more tears.
We only hope,
That our son,
Remembers that good,
Has always won.
Battles over,
Lives claimed,
Heroes made their mark,
And children tamed.
The fight for,
All of man,
Risked everything,
We never ran.
Good and evil,
Both did fall,
But when the smoke cleared,
Good did stand tall.
Please our son,
Don't forget,
We were not alone,
More paid the debt.
Never forget,
The price paid,
The freedom returned,
The world we made.
Remember,
Help them see,
That because of us,
You all are free.
