Three Conflicting Thoughts

Humdrum day again.
Slept until ten -
Woke up to my brother's snores.
Staring blankly at the door.
The freedom I yearn,
Oh! How it burns!
Let me out of this dull place,
Want to live in endless space!
Help! Get me out of here please.

Brother stares blankly again -
Awake until ten.
Watching makes me want to snore.
What is with that stupid door?
What is it he yearns?
Those eyes stare â€“ they burn,
They scream at some far-off place
Somewhere far in outer space.
Could he be any less pleased?

The whiff of bacon again,
Smelling it since ten....
How could Brother seem to snore,
Through what's drifting from the door?
Bacon is what I yearn!
Oh! The bacon burned....
I must find this tasty place,
Food occupies every space.
Let me in this kitchen please!
