I know why. You’re always “in” the stars; watching

I know you’re watching the stars tonight, just like me

Pondering what to do next

But I can’t; not when I can see the stars

Even if they are only angry thoughts

The word “can’t”

When you say can’t

Things become impossible for you

For our friendship

Our relationship

Somehow you know I’m thinking about you

Even if it is only anger

And pain

Anger because I haven’t been able to say anything

I stare at the moon, trying to get you out of my thoughts

But it doesn’t work

The moon’s bigger

That dot the pitch black sky
