1. We Who Wear Masks by Secret shadows

We Who Wear Masks by Secret shadows
We wear a mask of who we aren’t,
Faces shaded by sin,
We make them bright to stand right out,
When really we’re just fitting right in.

A face of lies,
Anger, deceit,
We lose ourselves to hope,
To dreams.

Forever defeated by the beauty of the masks,
Forever defeated, never to come back,
We hide our lack of self esteem,
We lie about our thoughts and beliefs.

A secret twist,
A hidden plot,
We hope in which not to
Be caught.

A web of lies,
An unknown pact,
Composed of secrets
The utmost black.

Forever in darkness will we LIE,
Broken wings, we cannot fly,
Deep down we go into the abyss,
Where souls once loved now go amiss.

All to be held,
All to be praised,
All to be noticed,
All just a game.

Nothing to lose, nothing to gain,
We hide our hearts to ease the pain,
We force ourselves to live like this,
Till fantasies of reality disappear in sickened twists.

Bittersweet endings,
Misty eyed lies,
Fickle Fate’s
Sweet lullabies.

Into the ocean,
Into the storm,
Into the darkness,
No longer warm.

Tiger, Tiger,
Run, run, run
Out of the darkness,
Into the sun.

Don’t lose yourself along the way,
Avoid the masks, avoid the pain,
Avoid the giant, opening door,
For those who wear the masks are no more.

We wear a mask of who we aren’t,
Faces shaded by sin,
We lost ourselves to promise and pain,
Never to return again.
