Rudolf the Red Nosed Snorkack

Rudolf the red-nosed Snorkack

had a very shiny nose,

and such was his misfortune,

he had matching shiny toes.

All of the other Snorkacks

stuck him on a great big pole.

A sort of living lantern;

he did not enjoy this role.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve

Santa came to say:

“Rudolf you gave me a fright

with your nose and toes alight”

*

Then all the Snorkacks guffawed

as he flew off on his sleigh.

Rudolf the red-nosed Snorkack

watched him leave in great dismay.

Rudolf the red-nosed Snorkack

soon began to sniff and sob.

Fat tears and slimy bogies

dripped and fell into his gob.

*

At once the other Snorkacks,

they began to yell and jeer:

“Rudolf you really are the

world’s ugliest chandelier!”

*

The next foggy Christmas Eve

Merlin came to say:

“Rudolf I heard of your plight,

but it ends this very night!”

*

He freed the red-nosed Snorkack,

then he made the others wince.

So great was Merlin’s wrath that

nobody has seen them since!
