It was a place of despair: dark and cold.
A punishment of the worst kind,
A last resort.
Those who experienced this place would never be the same.
He sat there, day after day, with only his thoughts for company.
Thoughts and memories …
Of people
Places
Times.
Of a godson he hardly knew.
Of a family who was ashamed of him,
Angry with him,
Disgusted by him.
Joy and sorrow
Better and worse
Of friends who would never be the same again.
Memories and thoughts floating through his head…
He had changed.
But it wasn’t over yet.
In a prison where most were hopeless,
He had hope.
Hope…
In forgiveness
In understanding
In a new start.
Sirius Black hadn’t given up.
