Concentration, Fear, and
Pure
Hatred
Between two pairs of eyes.
Focused intently on their enemy opposite.
Green into red,
Red into green.
They both know the vitality of this moment.
But they don’t know how it will end.
All it takes is one decision,
One movement,
One simple spoken word.
And one is gone.

For neither can live while the other survives.

Hundreds of eyes remain glued to the two
Pacing, circling figures
Waiting
Waiting
Waiting…

He is unsuspecting of what is to come.
Green meets red,
Red meets green.
It happens so fast.
Yet still
As in slow motion he falls.

For a moment
Not a single sound
A deathly silence
Then they realize
Realize
The Boy Who Lived
The Chosen One
Is once more

Their hero.
