A dark scar upon his skin;
Burning, searing, marking,
Telling the world who owned him.

Exposing to him

Not once did he consider

When he was forced

He became a dark son,
Filled with rage and fear,
Because in his heart
He knew his dark end was near.

He became a coward,
Running from the task;
Enlisting others to help him
When the moment came at last.

He sinned and he broke
The trust that he would shine.
He stole the hope from himself,
And he drew the final line
Sealing his own fate
And the fate of the others;
That despicable dark son,
Among dark sisters and dark brothers.

Dark son,
Black night.
Dark sun,
Endless night.
Dark mark,
Burning fear.
The end;
So close, so dark, so near.
That despicable dark son,
So cowardly, so wrong;
Filled with hate and prejudice
His dark life long.
So sad, so true,
He had no other way,
While he waited endlessly
For the break of day
To release him from his prison
And burn away his mark;
So maybe, just maybe,
That dark son would get a sunlit start.
