Faded Light by PotterGirl5
I could feel the light fading from my eyes;
I tried not to give up.

I felt the cold withdrawal, from life, from hope.
I could sense myself losing faith,
Feel myself shaking with unshed tears,
For fear that if I showed how hurt I was, it would make things worse.

I could feel the light fading from my eyes;
I knew he wouldn’t have wanted me to give up.

I stood there, bitter cold, alone, afraid,
But I felt the slightest bit of warmth in my heart.
My own tiny bit of peace, a moment of happiness,
A candle inside of me, refusing to be blown out, just like his memory.

The light was fading from my eyes,
But I knew Fred wouldn’t let me give up.
End Notes:
This is my first piece of fanfiction ever, so I'm very happy you took the time to read it! Leaving a review would make my day (or week... or month... or life), so if you feel like writing a sentence or two, I'd love it. Thanks!
