The Execution of Amelia Bones

The night is not silent in the world outside
Your walls; our preamble shall be the deception of
Its noise, the futility of its light. Amelia, tonight
Let truth be out.

(This magic you slathered your red bricks with,
Its aegis my wand will henceforth break.)

The fragile quiet of your home we tread upon
Like brutes; already your walls play witness to
My wrath, the coming of a duel. Amelia, tonight
Do parry with me.

(This magic you spit at the space between us,
Its ignorance my skill will henceforth split.)

The night is now rent with the screams from
Your throat; our tryst shall end with echoes of
Their pain, the finality of death. Amelia, tonight
Your case was closed.
